Love the style and comfort -
I have a lot of foot/back problems and can only wear Danskos so I was thrilled to find a new style that I liked and got good reviews. I ordered my regular size and they fit perfect. They are comfortable, but they were a little tight across the top part of the foot where the scalloping is. After wearing them a couple of times, they softened up and are great.

A little stiff in the heel -
I love Dansko shoes, even this type. However, it remains stiff in the leather that cups the heel. I try to loosen it each time I wear the shoes, but I always know I'm wearing them… something atypical for Danskos.

This is my first pair of Dansko shoes. I bought them for work. I have a job where I am on my feet for 12 hours at a time, and wanted to get away from running shoes. These shoes are comfy enough to last the whole shift. And they are way cute. Good for casual and work. They fit a little big. I wish that I had bought a half size smaller.

Cognac/Cordovan -
This is a really great shoe; fits well and will last forever. Easy to walk in and work in. One warning: Cognac is not brown and it is not actually "cordovan". The color does not go with a chocolate brown or an espresso. The color does look nice with stone or khaki.

Love that red! For me, comfort trumps looks in a pair of shoes, but sadly the comfort of these gorgeous shade of red shoes was not quite enough to outweigh the super-duper clunk factor. The Lotus is a fun shoe (love those scalloped edges and the red is to die for!) that reminds me of hand drawn Mary Janes on a cartoon character. The 41 was a good fit for my size 10 feet, but they look huge on me. Vanity still plays a role (more like a cameo than center stage when I was younger) when I go shoe shopping, but I have my standards. I'm not averse to clunky comfort, but the look has to be a tad more flattering than the Lotus. Fortunately, Zappos made the return (as well as the ongoing quest for the next pair of comfy good looking shoes) easy and oh so convenient.

Please, please wear these around your house for a long time before deciding to keep them. I love Dansko shoes and never have a problem with them. These were so hard, they scraped my heel… and standing in them for a long time was almost torture. They do not have the complete shoe floor that other Danskos have. They are separated by seams and I could feel every partition. I stand in my other Danskos all day and into the night (Professional, Marcelle, Karl, Flora, etc), but these hurt. I had to give them to someone who had a smaller foot. I want to WARN THE WORLD. If you do buy them, get them a whole size larger so you won't have a sore on your heel. Other Danskos are fantastic and Zappos is great.

Order smaller than your usual size -
I'm a devoted wearer of Dansko’s but was very puzzled recently when I bought three different styles and found the sizing vastly different between each one. Two years ago when I bought my stapled clogs, I wore a size 39. Suddenly, now I appear to be a 40 in most Dansko styles, including the clogs, yet the Lotus style in size 40 is almost an entire size too big! I would recommend sizing down with these, especially if you have narrow feet. They are also a bit heavier than other styles and the leather of the scalloped edges needs softening. Otherwise, if I could get the sizing right, the shoe seems a good one. I like that the heel is wider than some Dansko’s, giving more stability.

Dansko: a great investment -
I have 4 pairs of Dansko clogs- and they are GREAT! I am a hairdresser and am on my feet 8-10 hours a day- I can wear them all day and walk home- no problem. This summer I have been on the hunt for a sensible summer shoe- something with support . . . and these have it! They took a little breaking in on the outer edge (pinky toe side) and the leather is a little stiff at first- but I know they will last 10+ years which made it all worth it. Slowly but surely they are forming to my feet- and I love the support I get in the arch and heel.

So cute, but too big -
I love the look of these shoes and was hoping to add these to my growing Dansko collection (5 pairs and counting) but these ones were longer than all my other 41's. And they're not quite as wide--my feet hang over the edges a bit. So they need to go back.

A little disappointed -
I'm a huge Dansko fan, but sadly, these had to go back. The arch of my right foot was pressing weirdly on a little raised ridge on the shoe's footbed and the pain was excruciating. That's the most delicate part of the foot - why would the designer place a hard, raised ridge right there??? I thought about sending that particular pair back and buying another pair in the hopes the raised part on the footbed wouldn't be so troublesome on the second pair, but I took a long hard look at the shoes... and it just wasn't worth it to me. They're not as cute IRL as they are in the picture. They are very flat and look a lot like policeman shoes from the back. They just aren't as flattering to the female foot as they could be. And yes, they do make the foot look bigger. Not a keeper for me. (The left shoe was very comfy though...)

Pretty shoe, takes getting used to -
I love the looks of this shoe, and the overall feel on my foot. The only trouble is that the heel rubs on the back of my own heel, creating a raw place. The foot size fits, so I am wearing band-aids on my heels -- hoping the shoes will eventually break in. Having to do this made me put only 3 stars for the "comfort" characteristic. This may not happen to everyone, but it did for me.

CUTE shoe, great service!
This is one of the cutest shoes from Dansko. My other favorite was discontinued and I have not found anything else to compare. These look good with a skirt as well as pants and are much younger looking than other Danskos. I bought these for a young friend of mine that stands up all day and she has been wearing them everyday. She loves them too! As far as the service from Zappos, imagine my surprise when they arrived 12 hours after I ordered them!

I practically always buy Dansko shoes. They support my high arches and are pretty too. These Lotus shoes aren’t as high as most of my other choices however. I love the girlishness of the appearance but must say that the back of the shoe really rubbed my heel sore. The break-in period is longer than usual. But'vanity first'so I persevered and they are better now!

These shoes are very comfortable. I wear them without socks and have never had an issue with discomfort. The red is subtle and the scalloped edge is darling.

Out of box comfort, no break-in needed for me. They look good with both casual and dressy skirts and pants. The only drawback is they make my feet look much bigger that usual. Recommended for anyone with wide feet.

Good looking in an R. Crumb sort of way -
Ok folks - here's the fix for the heel rubbing. Go to the drugstore & get "Dr. Scholl’s for her heel liners". They're simply these lengths of clear rubber, & you stick them on the inside of the shoe just below the edge, where it hits the heel. Problem solved. Zappos should just offer them with this shoe, so many people complain about the heel. I do think this is a good looking shoe. If you stand there & gaze down at your foot, it looks clunky, so I do not advise this, as it will make you fussy; instead look in the mirror & you can then see the grace of it, MUCH helped by the scalloping. Wear with plain socks or barefoot to show it off, the scalloping is much less noticeable with patterned socks. I got the brown as it looks good with my skin tone when worn barefoot. I think I'll order the black when I have the bucks - it's a well made shoe & the black is dressy & versatile in that way black shoes are. I'd say if you're getting just one pair, get the black. It goes farther. Size - this is European, so it's tricky. Maybe go to a store first & try it on. Or order 2 pairs. Remember, this is a pretty cousin of the Dansko clog & is supposed to be a bit loose. As to people getting blisters with the strap - I recommend you wear it on the loosest hole first. The shoe feels loose, but if you wear it around you'll get used to it. After an hour or so, tighten to the next hole. That way you can find the fit for you. If you start with it snug, it'll very quickly feel wrong. Overall - probably the most feminine & graceful shoe you can find that is actually walkable. This shoe goes very well with skirts & dresses, yet looks absolutely fine barefoot with capris, or going funky with little white socks & a summer skirts.

Very cute shoe - great red color. I am on my feet all day and have a brisk 40 minute walk to work. Wore these the first time without socks and I'm still paying for it. The strap rubbed holes in the tops of my feet! I think that this is to be expected with most mary jane shoes though. I know Dansko shoes so I am confident that they will be super comfortable once my feet toughen up. I love the height and casual dressiness that this shoe provides. This is the closest I will ever get to wearing heels.

I have plantar fasciitis and my doc recommended Dansko. As a new user, I have to admit this shoe came as a shock. It has a very large profile (I wear a 9.5/40) and is anything but cute. It is comfortable, however with the usual caution about breaking in. Is it possible to have a truly attractive shoe that's also comfortable?

Not happy with this shoe -
If you wear Dansko shoes because of the arch support and firm sole, do not buy this shoe. It does not look like a traditional Dansko but it does not feel like a Dansko either. I was disappointed, returned the shoe immediately, and placed an order for a stapled clog, which is the epitome of Dansko comfort and wearability.

This shoe is comfortable overall, but I got blisters on the back of my heels. There are these tiny little tabs there that dig in, so beware. I think I have them worn down, but overall, great shoe!

This shoe is very attractive in photo and in person. However, after trying it on several times at home, I am hesitant to wear it outside or keep it. The sole is soft and comfortable, excellent arch support. However, I have a problem sensitive arthritic foot and I find these shoes still too heavy and the leather on the shoe top stiff.

black Crocs for my husband's birthday (which is TODAY). Late YESTERDAY afternoon, I realized that I wasn't going to be successful in finding his size at my local stores and decided to order a pair from you; after all, I had received awesome customer service last year when I had ordered several pairs of shoes for Christmas. Anyhow, I ordered his shoes on your web site, fully expecting to receive them (maybe) sometime early next week.
