This sneaker is great, absolutely adorable. About 2 weeks before I bought these, I went to a Stride Rite to have my 18 month old measured. He was a 7.5 wide so that’s why I ordered at Zappos. Unfortunately the straps were too short…but the next day, I had a 7.5 extra wide at my doorstep. Super easy exchange and they fit great. My recommendation, go 1 up on the width and you should be good. My son hasn't stopped running since I bought him these sneakers. (I don't how good that is, but at least I know he's comfy!)

Love these shoes!
This is the second pair of these shoes I have owned. They are so comfortable, and require no break-in time at all. I take 3-4 mile walks on a regular basis and these are my favorite walking shoes! (Also great I can buy them in wide so I can wear thicker socks.)

Great shoe!
I love this shoe. I suffer from foot issues and this shoe is so comfortable. I have worn this shoe since 2000. I am so happy I could find it on Zappos.com. If you haven't ordered from this company, you must do so. This is the first time I ordered from this company and I will continue to do so. They are great, as is the shoe. Be sure and try it if you are looking for a shoe with comfort and it also holds up very well.

Best Tennis Shoes for Wide Feet and Foot Roll -
I have been wearing this brand/type for years and won't buy anything else. They can outlast a day at Disneyland and are great for people that need a wider shoe and/or have a foot roll problem. I highly recommend!!

Great shoe, I'd buy it again.
This is a nice comfortable running shoe. LOVE the roll bar, really stabilizes my weak oft-sprained ankles. Width is good, plenty of room for wiggling my toes HOWEVER, this shoe runs very SHORT. I had to return the first pair I ordered in my regular size and get a full size bigger. I've never worn a 9 in any shoe before except this one. I have other NB shoes in an 8 that fit perfectly, but for this model I needed a bigger size. But then I got the larger size, the 9, and the shoe fits perfectly and I'm happy with the shoe. I did add my own insoles for better arch support, but I do that for virtually every shoe I buy.
I'm impressed with the very, very, very good Zappos service.

1st try...
New Balance are great shoes. The ones I used to wear W1222 or something of that nature were great but alas they make it no more. I tried these and another pair. These look good but not as comfortable as I thought they would be. Even with my orthotics in place. I am still giving them a try tho... the jury is still out on these.

New Balance 587 -
I started having foot problems working on concrete floors. I had to get orthotics and New Balance was one of two shoes recommended. It is deep enough for the orthotic and has the roll bar and plenty of support. I have worn this same shoe foe ten years. Of course the numbers change for each year but it's the same shoe. It would be nice to have a color choice other than white.
Now the store I bought them from has closed so Zappos is the only one I've found that carries this shoe. I got a better price here then at the store too.

Comfortable but plain -
These shoes are great for working out and for long periods of walking, but they are very plain-colored and so they're probably not as good for daily wear as some other brands.

My search for the perfect shoe is over! After trying multiple other New Balance shoes, I've finally hit on a winner. This shoes accommodates my orthotics and is very comfortable, fits perfectly (I have wide feet.) and I love them. They were comfortable right from the start.

The New Balance W587 feels great. I'm recuperating from a broken foot and the New Balance has made my feet feel great! I haven't been sore and there is a lot of padding in the shoe. I’ve worn the New Balance on my trip to Europe and even with all the walking I did, I had no problems whatsoever!

I have Scoliosis, and arthritis, so this shoe provides wonderful support, and helps to reduce the stress/pain from my conditions.

This is the shoe my mother-in-law said her foot doctor recommended for her plantar fasciitis. I needed a shoe for comfort and stability - I have MS. It is quite comfortable and lightweight. It does look "clunky" but it is a stable shoe.

Lemons?
I haven't worn them much yet because when I do my feet hurt. Especially the foot I broke about 13 years ago. That foot hasn't bothered me much over the years, but after a day in these shoes that foot is in so much pain I can barely stand it. I bought these shoes because they were made in the U.S., and had a great comfort rating.
Maybe this pair are atypical - lemons - but I am very disappointed. I spent a lot of money because I was sure I would be getting a great pair of comfortable shoes. All I got was severe pain.

The only shoe that works for me.
I have a very difficult foot to fit and need a shoe that doesn't allow my foot to move inside the shoe when I move on the tennis court. This is the only shoe that I have been able to wear for the past several years.

Great shoe for motion support -
I use this shoe for walking/light jogging. Good motion control...occasionally toe box fills a bit cramped if I've worn them long periods.

Happy Feet!
I have a small, flat, wide foot (5D) and have always encountered difficulty in finding a comfortable running shoe. I am very pleased with the fit of the New Balance W587. It has great arch and ankle support and is wide enough to accommodate those bulging bunions as well. It actually looks cute on my foot!

Good stable running shoe -
I have very flat feet with resulting pronation, so I need a lot of stability in a running shoe. I was so pleased with these that I ordered a second pair to have as a spare. And they are made in the USA! I have a custom-made sport orthotic that I wear with them. I just did a triathlon in them, and I had no pain in my feet, ankles or knees after the 5K run. I'm 57 years old and never dreamed that I could take up running!

Decent running shoe -
I purchased these shoes for the "Roll Bar" technology. I overpronate when I run, and so need that extra support on the medial post. The shoe does its job well as a stability shoe for sure. These shoes have surprised me happily with how light they feel. As opposed to the Brooks I've worn in the past, these felt like racing flats! As for looks, these shoes look great from the side, but always look a bit goofy to me from above as I'm wearing them. The tips/noses of the shoes are some of the most rounded I've seen and so look a bit odd to me (but that's personal taste).
The only two problems I've had with these shoes are friction and arch support. I have very flat feet, because these shoes have arched insoles they give me pain in my inner arches. Also, I find that these shoes more than any Brooks or Mizunos I've had in the past create more friction as I run. That is, my feet get burning hot running down hills!! I think both of these problems could be fixed by wearing custom insoles and/or buying a smidge of a smaller size (I wear 9's normally, and 10's when I run, but I think I could've done with 9.5's for these).
