Purchased these based on reviews, the look and Cole Haan experience. Got the black. Be advised, they are not a tumbled or semi-type gloss, they are quite shiny. Felt a bit snug when I tried them on, but basically ran true to size. Wore to the office the first day, and found them to be quite comfortable. You can feel the Air Nike technology at work. Puts a bit of spring in your step. I would definitely wear these with dress trousers and a sports coat, perhaps even a suit. A nice shoe. As always, Zappos service is great.

Shoes are more comfortable than leather based soles. Takes about three days of break-in to reach full comfort. This is a very nice $75 dollar shoe; it is in no way worth this price.

The combination of Cole Haan and Nike Air results in a very comfortable shoe, and with a wide width available it helps to cover people like me that need the width and a comfortable shoe. It looks dressy, but not for suits (mainly due to the side of the rubber sole showing). After wearing them for a month, they are very comfortable, yet visually, the folds in the top of the shoe shows a slight discoloration, not extreme, but noticeable. But bottom line, a great shoe and very comfortable that complements casual dress to casual.

Fits true to size. Craftsmanship is remarkable. Very comfortable! Wear all day without getting any blisters. Excellent support. Great for both business and casual attires.

My husband's favorite shoe!
My husband likes to look good but wants it to be effortless and comfortable. He has worn this shoe since it was first introduced. It looks great with jeans, chinos or slacks. He always has two pairs - one for everyday and one to wear with slacks. The Nike Air in the full sole is very comfortable.

Cole Haan's Air Dempsey Venetian Review -
I rated the shoe 4 stars overall because it’s just ok for the price. The shoe has a slick shiny black finish, when I was looking for more of a natural leather soft black finish. The picture was hard to tell, and from the description of calf leather, I thought it would be a softer look. For a wide shoe, it was still a little narrow. The inside of the shoe lacks padding that I've felt in less expensive shoes. I was looking for an everyday work shoe with some comfort, but this shoe is more like a Sunday shoe that you don't need to wear too long. I almost returned the shoe, but decided to bear with it.

Good things come to those who wait -
The shoes were a little stiff at first, but after breaking them in, they are very comfortable. I did get me a blister on my heel, so I wore band-aids on my heels for about a week until the shoes were broken in. The color is a little lighter than the picture, but it looks great. Versatile shoe that can be dressed down or up. I am very happy with my purchase because they get more comfortable each time I wear them.

Better than expected!
This was the first time I used Zappos. The picture does not do these shoes justice. They are beautiful and Zappos is amazingly great to deal with. I would recommend these shoes and this site.

Comfortable shoe! I work in New York, and just like most people who work in this area, I use public transportation a lot. I walk around 15-20 minutes from the subway station to my office, and because of this, I need to wear comfortable shoes. I gave this shoe 5 stars based on comfort because of the soft leather and the rubber sole. The sole also has Nike Air technology, which you won’t notice by looking at the shoe, but when you wear it, you do feel the difference. The shoe also looks great if you wear business casual and may be a good option during the weekends in jeans.

This is a great shoe for business casual wear. For full business attire (i.e., a suit), I prefer my Allen Edmonds shoes but the Air Dempseys are great for just about everything else. They were comfortable and pretty true to size right out of the box.

Great shoes -
These shoes were great from day one. I own another pair of Cole Haan/ Nike and both are exceptionally comfortable. Super comfortable, super versatile shoes. I wear them with a suit in the courtroom and I wear them with khakis.

Husband's Happy Feet!
Bought these for my hubby in black first and he liked them so well I got him brown too. ALL the Cole Haan Air's are great (men's and women's). He gets that athletic shoe comfort but a nicer, more dressed up look.

A classic shoe for northern climates -
OK, first off, I ordered these shoes at 8p.m. and had them at my door by noon the next day...kudos Zappos for amazing service. I have owned Cole Haans before so I matched my size and they fit great once the leather warmed up. The shoe is elegant and dressy enough for work and has the rubber sole for the snow covered sidewalks. I was looking for a slip-on for travel that could handle the elements and was comfortable without a traditional heavy sole. The price was well worth it. I’m completely satisfied.

Great looking shoe that is cushion to walk on -
This shoe looks very dressy, but is very comfortable with the Nike Air sole. Slip-on and off easy at the airport. Dressy enough for work. A nice shade, slightly lighter than "standard" brown you get with dress shoes.
