Great tennis shoe -
I had worn this NB tennis shoe for the last year, but the tongue tends to move around when I play so I searched for something new. After trying several different other brands, to my discomfort, I came back to these. I put them on and played 2 hours of rigorous tennis, with NO sore spots or blisters. Complete comfort the moment you put them on!

Great tennis shoe -
I just started back to playing tennis and these shoes have been great. I love New Balance for tennis and running. These shoes are true to size and have great support and cushion. I did not have any issues in "breaking them in" and they don't seem to be as hot as all leather tennis shoes are because of the ventilation mesh on top.

Racquetball sneakers -
I am very pleased with Zappos, I never thought that my shoes would come as quickly as they did. I am very impressed with the amount of selection and brands to choose from. Racquetball sneakers are very hard to find in stores and if they are there the colors and selection are very few, esp. for women. Thank you Zappos!!!

Not as good as 652 -
As an avid fan of New Balance, I was disappointed by the fact that the last model of this shoe (WCT652) has more stabilization in the heel area and a larger tongue, both features I appreciate to keep my feet stable in the shoe. It did not seem to have adequate arch support. Why “reinvent the wheel”? The older model was better.

Great for Tennis -
New Balance tennis sneakers are the most comfortable I have ever found for my wide (D) feet with a high instep. This style is one of the best ever: not too high cut on the top and good traction on the court.

I usually buy New Balance and found these to be fairly comfortable. Not as flexible as I expected, the sole was not as cushioned. Overall, they fit well and were true to width.

My doctor recommended a New Balance 600 series shoe to accommodate my orthodics. This shoe provides support and stability. Great walking shoe.

The shoe fit true to size and has plenty of toe space to not impede on aching feet while doing aerobics. Can't say enough about Zappos! What a fabulous company with the free shipping sending and returning! And quick delivery time too. I'm now a devoted customer for sure.

Avoid this shoe at all costs!
If you are buying shoes for Tennis, this is one of the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever seen. It’s stiff and tight across the top, and my feet and legs were burning with pain after just one set of play. The shoes made my feet hurt so badly that they still hurt two days later even not wearing these shoes again! I did try walking around in them, and they are only marginally comfortable. They just feel stiff and tight. I have worn other NB tennis shoes in their 800 range that were really nice, but not the 653!

Good, narrow fit -
Good, narrow fit with nice lines. Right on the button for length, so if you "fudge" length order the larger of the sizes. (My right foot is slightly larger than the left so I ordered the right foot size).

I cannot tell you the number of tennis shoes I have in my closet waiting to be "broken in" before I wear them on the court. Bad buying decisions. Not what I thought -
They don't fit quite right. Seem wide in the toes and little arch support. Causes my feet to ache by the end of 2 hours of tennis. Wish they fit better.

WOW!
Very nice shoe! Looks and feels good. No one has as comfortable narrow shoes as New Balance and Clarks. These even make my 8.5 sized feet look petite. The most amazing thing is I ordered these shoes last night and they arrived by noon today! Zappos has always had an amazing delivery record, but this time was unbelievable! Zappos is the most convenient, accessible, helpful, and eager to please company on the web. My new favorite athletic shoe!
I walk 2-3 miles a day and I wanted to try a different sneaker, other than the running and walking types. This is a great walking shoe! I wear a 10.5 wide, and most sneakers look like boats, but not this one. It is contoured to the shape of my foot, and has ample room in the toe box. Even though it is a "tennis" shoe, it is supportive enough for walking. It was comfortable from day one. Shipping was super fast, and any time I return an order, the refund is courteous and swift. Back in to Tennis -
I purchased these shoes with some trepidation, as I usually like to try on my athletic shoes first. I took a chance on these and find them very comfortable and supportive. I am just getting back into playing tennis and these shoes are helping me do that!

I would not recommend any NB tennis shoe to tennis players. I wore these for six months and developed plantar fasciitis. I probably should have changed them after three months since I played a lot, but there is so little heel support that I could not wear them without gel inserts after two times of wearing them. My podiatrist does not recommend NB either as he said they weren't offering me very much arch support - I have flat feet. From what I've read on Zappos, Prince offers the best arch support. My opinion is that NB makes great running shoes, but they are out of the loop when it comes to making a quality tennis shoe.

I am extremely pleased with my shoes. I bought a half size larger than my regular shoe size because I have wide feet and use corrective inner soles to play tennis. The shoes were a little tight the first two times I used them, but after that, they fit like a glove. I was also very pleased with the speedy next day delivery.

I always wear New Balance brand court shoes when playing tennis. I was thrilled to discover that I could order them in my favorite style in a narrow size from Zappos. The 653 style looks sporty, is comfortable, has great tread, and wears well for serious tennis players.

Size Issue -
The shoe looks great and is well made. I play court sports 3x's a week. The only complaint is the shoe tends to run narrow. I have worn the same size for over 25 years and this shoe is the only one that I have ever had a problem with being tight. I would recommend this shoe, however order it 1/2 size larger than normal.

After playing for two weeks with no real break-in time, I'm very happy with the support, comfort, and sticky sole. After spraining my ankle twice, traction is really important to me and these feel very secure.

I have narrow feet and a high arch and have so much trouble finding court shoes that fit. I usually have the best luck with New Balance and these are no exception. I play tennis 2-4 times week usually on soft courts and find that these have adequate support. Only complaint: they are still wide in the toe box and heel and feel larger than a normal 8 1/2 and are a little heavier/less flexible than I hoped for. Otherwise, I would recommend them.

I must have ordered at least a handful of different styles of shoes before I found the right shoe for me. The funny thing is that I also sent each and every shoe back to Zappos without question or rude remark's from them. When I finally found this New Balance "tennis" shoe I was ecstatic. The shoe fits great and is sturdy enough to meet my demands on the court. I love this shoe!! Thanks Zappos for being so patient with all my returns.

 |  | I want to personally thank all of you for sending my shoes standard overnight, even though I opted for UPS ground shipping. I only had one pair of black oxfords and they became unglued after doing some yard work. I have black jeans and clothes to wear them with, and needed these shoes very badly.
