Shoe part felt great standing in them. The calf was GAPING. I could have tucked in an extra wide flare into these. I don't have skinny or thick calves and by the measurements it should have fit. I love Zappos and their customer support. It's so hard to find anything to wear because of foot pain; I don't look anywhere but here.

Finally!
It was so hard for me to finally find a pair of boots that fit over my calves. These boots not only accomplish that but are comfortable and stylish!

Note! It has a zipper!
I ordered these boots thinking that they were standard western style pull on boots (why else would they have those tabs at the top?) - But they have a side zipper, which really kills the look, in my opinion. I re-read the description and sure enough it mentions the zipper - so my mistake there - but still the zipper just looks odd.

These boots are wonderful. The leather is soft and the lining is also soft but keeps your legs warm. I put them on and wore them all day when I first got them and they were absolutely comfortable and I got lots of compliments on the style.

Great boot - finally I found the boot that fit right. Perfect... I wore this boot to Las Vegas for New Years Eve and we walked the strip for hours. I could walk for more hours... my feet never hurt with this boot... I love it. Thanks Zappos for excellent service... you all are great.

Boots that fits for larger calves/ankles -
It has been such a challenge for me to find boots that fit right. I finally got onto Zappos.com and ordered 4 pairs of boots - thank goodness for the easy and quick return process. This is the only pair I ordered in this style, so I was pretty happy to find that they fit so much better than anything I've tried on in a store. I have larger calves (probably almost 15" at their widest) but short legs, especially between my ankle and knee. I was looking for a boot that was less than a 15" shaft and could fit around my calves. I was sick of trying on boots that went all the way up to my knees, which is so uncomfortable. These boots do feel a bit narrow, as my feet are a bit wider by the toes, but not enough where it is uncomfortable. I am thinking that these will stretch as I wear them more. I don't usually buy my shoes in larger widths, since most are flexible enough to stretch - but I might have exchanged for one width up if I wasn't so impatient! The calves are almost too big around, but not enough to where it looks weird. The extra room ensures that I can wear them over jeans. The only thing was that the leather was a little white, almost dusty or dry looking on the outside section of both boots. I'm going to try to use leather wipes on it and am hoping it's not permanent. I would have exchanged for another pair if I hadn't waited a while for these to come into stock in my size. I've walked a bit in these, and they are comfortable so far; but the real test will be next week when I take them with my to NY and walk around all day in them!

Lovely shoe -
I had been looking everywhere for a tan boot to wear over jeans & leggings...every pair I found we too tight on the calf...these are great, plenty of room...I can wear them all day! They're not super comfortable towards the end of the day, but I've never had to take them off and walk home barefoot! I usually wear a 7 narrow but these 6.5 wide work just fine.

I originally ordered these boots in the wide calf version, but they were way too big. This one is perfect. I wore it all around NYC last week and felt great. And they look good with skirts and pants. I did order the wide width toe box, because the regular was tight!

Great Boots -
I had given up hope of finding an attractive, wide-calf leather boot until I found this one. It's perfect! The "foot" fits my size 10W perfectly and the calf is just wide enough to tuck in a pair of skinny jeans. Nice boot and good service from Zappos, as always.

Want a boot that fits over jeans...and socks?
I LOVE these boots. They fit perfectly over my jeans and with socks. Not only are they comfortable, but also very stylish. I highly recommend these...I get nothing but compliments from my co-workers!

Not quite right -
Nice looking and good quality. Unfortunately, they’re too wide for my ankle, which moved around way too much. Overall, the shank is too wide, so they fit loose. I had to return.
