I am a RN who suffered from plantar fasciitis (key word, SUFFERED). Being an avid Dansko wearer for 12 years, I went on faith, and bought these shoes in hopes to remedy my pain. I have owned them for a year now and they are the best investment for my feet, EVER. I wear a 39 in Dansko and these are, spot on, the right size for me. The only negative for me is that they are a bit mature looking, but with long scrub pants, no one really sees the velcro fasteners. Besides, I gladly traded vanity for comfort! I have not suffered from my fasciitis since I started wearing them - well worth the investment!

I love my MBT shoes.
It truly feels like walking on a cloud. I even bought my sister a pair for her birthday and she is an R.N. in pediatrics and works 12 hour shifts. She agrees there is no other shoe so comfortable and it immediately improves your posture and I had no problem walking in them from the first day I received them. Standing still requires a little balance. We both will be buying MBTs in the future. Thank you Zappos for your incredible customer service.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these MBTs!
I certainly took advantage of Zappos’ free shipping and return policy! Ordered Sapatu in 41 - too big. Zappos didn't have Saputu in 40 1/3 in stock - so I waited for them. Only 2 weeks later, I got the 40 1/3 and they are a perfect fit! These are great and worth every penny. I also like the velcro so they're easy on/off and can be adjusted for the type of socks I wear. My feet feel much better and my posture has improved. I guess the only drawback is that I feel like I need to replace all my shoes with MBTs and that will not be cheap!

MBT - love and hate relationship -
I own two pair of the original (super-adjustable) sandals. They feel so fabulous for my whole body that I keep trying to buy shoe versions to wear in the cold weather and for work or more dressy times, but the shoes are all very narrow, and they don't make them in any wide widths. MBT - PLEASE MAKE AT LEAST A FEW OF YOUR SHOES IN A WIDE WIDTH for many of us who appreciate all the wonderful benefits and are happy to pay the price. So only buy these shoes if your feet run medium to narrow.

Love these shoes. So comfortable and different than any shoes I've ever worn. Back, leg, and heels aches are gone! On-line looking for another pair. Too bad most of the styles are unattractive.

I love my MBTs -
I love all my MBTs, but this style was somewhat disappointing. The shoes are extremely comfortable, but not really stylish and the velcro straps have ruined many outfits.

Good look for hospital shoe -
Only took a week to get completely used to wearing a full 12 hour shift. Lower back pain is no longer an issue during my shift. I am going to order another pair for a friend of mine that had a stroke. She tried them on and felt they would help her walk better.

As usual, these MBT's are great. Ordered a half size larger than my sandals. I wear them with thick socks and they fit great. Looking forward to getting new sandals this spring.

Like walking on clouds.
Normally, I am on my feet most of the day, walking up and down stairs, or standing, always looking for a time to rest my feet. Now, with my MBT's I actually enjoy walking and standing, without needing a rest. I can feel new muscles at work when I wear my MBT's and it feels good.
They are also easy to slip on and off with the hook and loop straps. Looking forward to increasing my collection of MBT's because now I want to wear them all the time, at work and home.

Great comfort, lousy design -
I bought these shoes in June 2008 from Zappos, and loved them immediately. I use them only for work (I am a massage therapist) indoors. After about a month the velcro straps started to curl out and catch my pants. This continued until today when I finally called Zappos and pleaded my case to return them. I have ruined a few good pants (bought on Zappos) because of the velcro getting stuck in my pant leg. It seems too bad that a great shoe is made in such a way that they don't hold up even after a couple of months. Also discouraging is the fact that they are made overseas, is everything now made overseas???

Though these MBT (Sapatu) shoes aren't the prettiest shoes I've ever seen they are amazingly comfortable! These are my first pair of MBT's and I took my time wearing them around the house for nearly a week before heading straight into a weekend of walking. If you are new to these shoes, they require some getting used to. Having the velcro back & side adjustment abilities are proving to be important for me as I think these shoes run wide. Bought these due to constant heel pain and sciatica - heel pain is gone when wearing them and posture improved! Worth every cent! Fastest shipping, Thanks.

Cool shoes! I'm a 53 yr old Critical Care RN who seldom sits in a 13 hr day. Wasted back, neck, shoulders, hips and tired fat feet. MBT's are amazing my back and hip pain seem to melt away when I wear my MBT's. Order half size larger. Zappos you’re the best!!

Perfect for Nursing Profession - I have only worn the MBTs now for 2 years to work every shift as an Intensive Care Nurse, on my feet 12 hrs each shift. The MBTs are the first shoes that have given me the comfort without my orthotics! Recommended to me by my podiatrist. I just love these new ones because they look like the common nursing shoes made by Dansko. Absolutely will never where anything else to work.

Order these a half-size larger than normal -
Because your foot slides forward due to the rocking motion, your big toe will rub against the inside front of the shoe. These shoes are more feminine looking than some other MBT styles, and the straps make it very adjustable.

The ultimate nursing/working gal's shoe -
Let me start by saying I love shoes!!! I am addicted to shoes. But I have to have shoes that are comfy and provide good support. Even my dress shoes have to be comfy, because I walk everywhere.
I don't think I will ever need to buy another brand of nursing shoes. In the past 4 years I have bought no less than 5 pairs of professional shoes, none of them cheap (including Dansko's and Crocs), and still would finish the night with sore feet, and knee, hip and back pain. As soon as I put these shoes on I knew I had found something special. It's like walking on spongy moss. Within a week of getting these, two other ladies I work with also bought a pair, and they love them.
My pain level at the end of my shift has dropped significantly. These are better than custom inserts. Just buy this shoe. (And buy them from Zappos, so if the fit isn't right the first time you can send them back and get ones that do fit without wasting too much time and money. I never order shoes anywhere else anymore). I've had back pain for years. I feel so much better. You can't spend too much on a good pair of shoes.
I recommend these to anyone who works long hours on their feet. I just wish I knew about them all those years I was waiting tables for a living. I bought the Sapatu in white in a size 9, and most of my shoes are a size 9. They fit fine, nice wide toe box (I have very wide flat feet and its difficult to find shoes that fit). I liked them so much that I wanted a pair of walking shoes for my off time. I bought a pair of the sneakers and found that I did have to go up a half size to a 9.5. The toe box is more narrow, but I still found them to be comfortable and well worth the $$$, bunions and all.

Knee, Hip, or Back Pain?
MBTs are great! They cost a bit, but the rocker bottom forces you to stand and walk correctly and will definitely help your pain. Takes a bit of time to get used to walking in them, but they are well worth the time and money. They also come in white for those nurses out there.

I love this shoe. I am a nurse and am on my feet for a straight 13 hours normally. There was no break in time as these shoes were comfortable right from the start. I had to order a full size larger than I usually wear, I ordered my regular size first, but had to return. I got my order the next day and Zappos even sent my replacement shoe the next day before I had even returned the smaller shoe. Some of my nurse friends are planning to order too.

I work in a Level I Trauma ICU - a very fast paced arena. I am 58 and wore these shoes for the first time for a full 12 hour shift - they are tremendous. Normally, my right hip would ache and feet would become fatigued. In these shoes, I had spring to my step, no fatigue and no ache in my hip. I have worn Danskos and Drews - these are far better. And my younger colleagues thought they looked great. I also order the Chapa in the 37, but they were a bit short and reordered in the 37 2/3. Give these a try - they are like no other shoe you have ever worn.

These are the best shoes ever. I used to wear running shoes to work and my arches and feet would be killing me by the end of the day. I couldn't even stand on my own two feet they hurt so bad. I did the unthinkable and spent all this money on these shoes and I would do it again. It took three weeks to get used to them and my feet don't hurt at all after standing all day. I could run a marathon if I wanted to. Keep the receipt, it's tax deductable as part of your uniform. Thank you.

This shoe is very comfortable. Like other reviewer I've found that this is one size smaller than my regular size of 71/2.Thank you very much ZAPPOS. You are the best company in America. I've order this one Wednesday last month and I've got it the next day. For that price I hesitated to order it for many months, now I can work more past my retirement because of this very comfortable MBT shoes.

This is my second pair of MBTs, which are almost all I wear these days because of an assortment of back and leg issues. They're lighter and easier to get on and off than the sport show I have, but they feel just a wee bit less stable. And they're look a little bit less athletic shoe-y.

A great shoe.
I wear a 9.5 Wide, but the Sapatu has a wide toe box; a 10 fits perfectly. The Sapatu is initially a little snug across the top if you have a high instep. I've had two surgeries on the same foot in the past 18 months and lived with pain until I discovered MBTs. This Sapatu style looks great with pants, looks comfortable with a skirt, and crosses seasons because of the open heel strap. I'm only sorry I didn't know about MBTs sooner. I have a casual pair of MBTs, now the Sapatu, and I will buy the Shadow as soon as I save enough money. Thank you MBT and thank you Zappos for setting an example to the retail world of what Customer Service really means. If your feet hurt, try MBTs. If you buy shoes, buy from Zappos.

Perfect in every way except width -
I have found MBT shoes to be the answer to my prayers in that the construction of the sole or base is extremely accommodating to my arthritic toes. They eliminate the pressure that I would normally be putting on my toes in other type shoes. They also help maintain a posture that has eliminated back problems for me. However, the only MBTs that I am able to wear are the open toe, open back style because the closed shoes available are not wide enough. Having just retired early from a teaching profession, I probably would not have retired as early if I had discovered MBTs sooner. They are a magnificent shoe for teachers or anyone who has to be on their feet most of the day. I would love to purchase MBT tennis shoes if they came in wide. Also, I noticed that a new women’s' shoe has been created that has a strap across the top of it. I wondered if a similar shoe without the strap is or will be available in brown or black leather...
