With the MBT Kisumu I have been able to walk longer distances again without foot pain. I wear my Kisumu daily and find that it helps me with my posture. Overall, this has been the best shoe for me.

I have never paid more for shoes nor had an uglier pair, but they are heaven on my feet. If we lived on land I'd have many pairs but for our lifestyle, these are more than wonderful. I have a stress fracture right foot and these enable me to walk and sight see and have made a world of difference in my comfort. Love 'em! Buy at least 1 pair! You'll be glad you did.

If you have any type of back pain or foot trouble, these are the shoes for you. They also give your legs a great work out as long as you actually walk in them as the video says to do.

Good shoes. Seem to be doing exactly what they were recommended to me for: helping with increasing my stability. As it happens, they also appear to be helping to improve my posture, and, I think, may be helping to take a bit of pressure off my knees, which have been complaining a bit of late. I am glad I bought them, and look forward to seeing more about what they can do for me.

I love my MBTs. This is the 4th pair of MBT shoes I\'ve owned and they have made it possible for me to keep walking daily without pain in my arthritic toes. And Zappos was wonderful to deal with. I tried measuring my old pair of sandals when I couldn\'t find a size in them and ordered a size too small. My first pair arrived in a day and my returned pair did also. Returning the wrong size shoe was a breeze also. No one in my town sells MBTs so I\'m delighted to have Zappos and MBTs.

The shoes I can't wait to wear. Look funny, but they make my feet feel great! I have sesamoiditis with pain in the ball of my foot for 10 months now, treated by physician but ongoing. I can spend an entire day in these shoes and feel better in them than barefoot. I am a true size 9, but have very high insteps. Ordered the 9.5 and with the adjustable straps, it fits perfectly. I had a pair of the sneakers, but the heel rubbed so I like these much better. Zappos is a pleasure to deal with. When I need anything I always look on Zappos first. Walking in these takes some getting used to, but you get a work-out and my legs are now toned and even my abs feel tighter. Great experience!

I discovered MBT shoes by accident. I was in my regular shoe store in Florida, when I overheard the owner telling another woman that six of her customers had canceled scheduled knee surgery after switching to MBTs. At the time I was having great difficulty walking due to severe knee pain, so despite the cost, I decided to buy a pair of MBT sandals for daily wear. (Felt it was cheaper than knee surgery and worth a trial). That was over two years ago and now I only wear MBTs, and very rarely have any discomfort at all in my knees! I find the shoes very comfortable and very long-lasting. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who is on their feet a lot, or has knee or hip pain. This year I bought my shoes online at Zappos and was very pleased with the attention I received when I needed fast shipping service because I was returning to Honduras.

Love these shoes. Zappo\'s rocks. Great service. Shoes arrived in 2 days. This is the 5th pair of shoes that i have bought from Zappo\'s and I would not hesitate buying from this store again. Way to go. And if you are waivering about the price of MBT\'s, they are worth it.

This is my second pair of MBT sandals. I purchased my first pair over 5 years ago, and used them relentlessly until the soles finally began breaking down. I tend to over-pronate and over-stride and these sandals cured me of this, no more knee problem! True, they are not 'stylin' IMO, but wear these shoes routinely so that your legs (and feet) will look hot in your sexy shoes. Also, I cannot say ENOUGH about Zappos service. I order my shoes and got a message within 24 hours that they were upgrading my shipment to same day at NO CHARGE. I quite literally got my shoes on the SAME DAY that i got my UPS tracking email. Zappos totally ROCKS. I only hope the Amazon acquisition doesn't adversely affect this superb company!

For years I have been thinking of getting these shoes. It was my hope that it would help some back discomfort and maybe do a little in the slimming department as well. Anyway - I am so thrilled for having spent the money on them. They are soooooooo comfortable and perfect for summer and fall. If they didn\'t look so silly with dressy clothes I would wear them all the time!

This is my first time to invest in a pair of MBT shoes. I am currently healing from a stress fracture and MBTs are the only shoe I can wear comfortably without limping. My orthopedic/podiatrist said they have the same qualities as the sled boot I had to wear the first 4 weeks of my injury. I went hiking on rocky trails with these shoes and my injured foot survived. I tried one day in regular shoes and my foot swelled up again. So I'm totally convinced MBTs are the way to go while my foot heals. Be advised: They do take some time to get use to. The sole is designed to roll when you walk so they tend to rock back and forth when you are just standing still. This can be challenging at first to keep your balance.

Excellent product if you are a fan of this kind of shoe, which creates a different posture and increases the effort in walking slightly. These are quite sturdy, and while they look awful in terms of fashion style, they are comfortable, quite adjustable, and look like they will hold up for years.

I LOVE these shoes! Are they a little funny looking? Yep. Do they feel funny to walk in at first? Yep. But these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I'm training to do a 60-mile walk, and I just recently walked 16 miles in these MBT sandals, and my feet felt great, no blisters, and most of all my lower back and hip had no pain whatsoever. I HIGHLY recommend these funny little shoes.

These shoes are great. There are 3 different straps that you can adjust to fit your foot. I have a few foot issues: one being that I broke my right foot so it is a good bit wider than the left foot. The shoe does a great job on correcting my posture. I also have the low sport MBTs and love them as well.

These are the craziest shoes I have ever owned but they are a lot of fun, too! I say they are crazy because the curved sole of the shoe makes you balance yourself all the time. I found this disconcerting at first and I could only wear them a few hours at a time because you unconsciously work your leg muscles to stay balanced and I would get sore and my legs would ache. Now I can wear them all day (but not every day). The adjustable straps make it possible to adjust to any foot width and the shoes are extremely comfortable (once you build your leg muscles up). I love the way the footbed feels and the construction of the shoe gives me the extra cushioning I need but almost never get with sandals. It's true that the shoe makes you adopt a straighter posture although I can't say whether the shoe is improving my back (which seems about the same). I concur with the other reviewers who say to buy a shoe smaller than what you normally wear (although mine fit me perfectly because I have a wide foot rather than a long foot so didn't have to order another size).

Can't say enough good things about Zappos! I wanted to try two different styles of sandals and two different sizes. I received the shoes a day later! Returned the pairs I didn't keep at Zappos' expense. Was so easy. Also found the folks at Zappos so friendly and helpful. The MBT Kisumu is just like walking barefoot, only much, much better! I normally wear a leg brace and can walk as well or better without the brace when wearing the MBT shoes. I also own three pair of MBT Mary Janes, one of them for dress. The exercise and better posture that comes along with MBTs is icing on the cake!!!!!

These shoes are terrific. I have a black pair of MBT sandals and wanted one in another color. This is a really neutral color that goes with everything. The comfort is outstanding. I can walk for miles in them right out of the box and have no complaints. They have multiple adjustments, so they will fit any foot, and they are actually quite nice looking.

These sandals are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I can walk around in these sandals for hrs and I have no back pain at all. I have found MBT's run a little small so I would get a 1/2 size bigger next time and I will be ordering more. Zappos is the BEST place to order from!!

The mbt Kisumu is my second pair of mbt's, and I love them! The brown ones fit slightly differently than the black, as the black are unisex. I have them in the same size as my running shoes, which is a half size larger than my dress shoes. It's possible that the same size as dress shoes might have fit; they were not available to try. The adjustable straps create a great fit, the Nubuck is very soft, and they actually look pretty good as far as casual sandals go, certainly not dressy. More comfortable than the fixed strap mbt's that I tried. A wonderful sandal, particularly if one has back, knee, or foot pain, these alleviate all those and are great to walk or stand in!

What you get is great comfort, an easy stride, and a pretty clunky look, frankly, but to no longer have aching joints, painful lower back, or chafed toes is a tremendous positive. They do make me taller than my husband, which is taking some getting used to. It's still too cold here to wear them outside, but they've been great around the house and on vacation in southern climates.

I love these shoes!! Didn't have to break them in. I plan to wear them all summer. I have acute sciatica and already notice a difference. Yes, they are expensive...but worth every penny! Would buy another pair. P.S. Zappos you’re the Greatest!

I have 2 pair of the Kisumu, and I love them. I can adjust them in 3 places and they ae very comfortable. My back, feet, and legs do not hurt as much since I have been wearing them. I got my normal size, they are true to size.

Can't beat this shoe for comfort!
I have arthritis in my right foot. With this sandal and with other MBT-brand shoes (I own 3 different styles), I can now walk in comfort wherever I go and feel stylish! Even my Primary Care Physician, who doesn't have arthritis in his feet, asked me about the shoe because he was considering purchasing a pair to use in his practice. I found that MBT shoes run a full size smaller than marked. The shoes are expensive, but worth the price to me.
