The size in these shoes was right. Other models I tried on (like the Kaya) were 1/2 size smaller. For about a month, I've been wearing these shoes for my 20 minute walk between the parking lot and my class (I hate taking shuttles) and not only is it a pleasurable walk, I think it's helping my thighs become leaner! I've read claims about cellulite, but I haven't noticed that (yet). The shoelaces are a bit cumbersome, but I have high arches and other shoes are tight on the top of my feet. The shoelaces allow finding the right tightness for walking, which for me, it's not the same as for sitting during class or just walking short distances. I'd recommend this look over the tennis shoe style or the Kaya if you want something a bit dressier.

Purchased shoe for work. I stand in one spot most of the day and discovered that these shoes are probably better for walking. Great cushion and reasonable arch support. Not the most attractive shoe. Fast shipping from Zappos, but slow refund.

Looks great, but too narrow -
I've been looking for the best looking MBTs for ladies that would be appropriate for work. While it looked great with slacks - I'm sorry to say the width was just too narrow. Ouch! I guess while it would take some time for the leather to give/stretch, I don't think I would be able to tolerate the pain while breaking it in, so unfortunately I had to return these. Will keep looking for a black colored MBT that will more than likely look good with work clothes and provide more width comfort.

I wish they worked out -
I love MBTs & these felt wonderful when I first put them on, but when I wore them to work, they cut a hole in my ankle. I wanted them to work so badly - they're a bit more stylish to wear to work with trousers. In terms of service, Zappos is a rock star. I received the shoes REALLY fast & the customer service follow up was impeccable. Zappos is the greatest retailer I've ever used.

Great for my knees -
My knees were starting to bother me when I walked up and down stairs. But after wearing these shoes for only one day, the knees were better -- and continue to improve! Love these shoes! I wear a 7-1/2 AA, and this shoe was only slightly too wide for me. (Socks fill in the extra space.) So if you have wide feet, this may be too narrow for you.

Really like my MBT's -
These shoes have saved my back. Albeit not very attractive, the are extremely comfortable. It does take a week or so to get used to them, but once you do, it's like old hat! I originally bought a pair with velcro and they kept getting stuck in my pants (velcro strap). So I traded them in for this pair with laces. I am thrilled. Most people said to get a 1/2 size bigger, which I did, but now that they are worn in, I should have just gotten my size. As a massage therapist, and on my feet for 7-8 hours a day, I can continue to do my job with no low back pain, HOORAY!

Love MBT'S but...
I always wear MBT's especially at work but this pair feels like it a size small. I thought they would break in but that didn't happen. Suggest purchasing a larger size.

Narrower and tighter than other MBTs -
I wanted to love this shoe, since it's a little dressier than my other MBTs and I could wear it to work - but it is cut narrower and the toe box is much tighter and lower than the others, so unfortunately it's going to have to go back. On the other hand (foot?), if you have found other MBTs to be too wide for you, this one might well do the trick!

Professional relief -
This shoe has saved my life at work. I have a job where I am constantly on my feet. Due to a lifetime of ill-fitting shoes, I have recently experienced severe foot pain. Only since I have been wearing my MBT's has the pain subsided to the point I feel like I can do my job without the interruptions caused by foot pain. These are smart looking professional shoes that look great with my dress slacks.

MBT First Timer -
I wore these shoes a few hours a day to get used to the unique soles. From the first day my feet and knees felt better while I was wearing the shoes. At work I have to wear all black and this is why I chose this style. I wear orthotics and still could wear my regular size shoe.

A very professional-looking shoe!
The Amali is an extremely professional-looking shoe. Just dynamite. I have three pair of MBT's, so I knew what to expect in terms of comfort. The first time I wore the Amali, I wore them for two consecutive 10-hour days on the convention floor. In 22 years of conventions, my feet have never felt this good. Order 1/2 size larger. The Amali makes your feet look small. After three foot surgeries, MBT is the only shoe I wear.

A little bit of break in time, but fantastic -
I had actually heard of these from another person with foot and joint problems (and I'm a youngin'). Still recovering from knee surgery, with plantar fasciitis and hip sciata...I know, I'm a wreck...I decided to shell out the money to try a pair of MBT's. I decided to break them in slowly. My best advice is to wear good wool socks, Smartwool is a good choice. They are a little tight at first, and I did get some blisters on my heels, but it is getting better. What I do notice is my legs don't cramp up when I walk (and I walk 3 miles home), my knee doesn't hurt anymore, and my hip feels better. I don't wear them all day, but mostly for my exercise of the day, my walk home.

I've been having problems with my feet for a while now. My doctor told me about MBT's but I felt they cost too much. But I figured it was cheaper in the long run if I just bought the shoes. I did and now I will not wear anything else. They are truly wonderful to my feet.

I like this shoe because it looked like a dress shoe and I wanted I could wear it to work. It just didn't fit quite right on my narrow foot. I really liked the leather but the sides kept cutting into my ankles when I tried them on so I didn't want to chance trying to break them in and still having the same problem.

Think about what you spend for other things -
Read the promotional materials to learn about the benefits of MBT. As to these shoes:
They are expensive but sturdy and should last a long time, and the benefits to your body (see above!) make them well worth it. They can eventually be resoled, although that process will cost as much as the new shoes you're used to buying.
These shoes can make your feet feel very hot. Once you decide you love them, you may also buy the MBT sandals.
