I guess this would qualify as an "off label" use. I referee soccer as a hobby and I've developed chronic tendinitis in both Achilles so I was looking for something to provide more support and stability while running up & down the field. I was only able to use these a couple of weekends before the local fall season ended, but they seemed to be an improvement over the soccer turf cleats that I was wearing. They are heavier than soccer shoes, but I'm old enough that speed is no longer an issue anyway!

A great shoe. I have problems with my ankles tending to turn in. While wearing these shoes, my ankles are straight. I also like the extra traction of the small rubber cleats. I like the looks, too. I have a wide foot, and this shoe is extremely comfortable. A great shoe.

I purchased these turfs shoes for my 11 year old son for his upcoming baseball season. We thought they would be more comfortable as he is in them a lot. He has enjoyed them. He feels there are much more comfortable than cleats, and does not have any problems slipping while pitching on muddy mounds. I have ordered him New Balance cleats for baseball for the past three years. We find they fit his wide feet much better than other brands.

Good traction, mediocre support -
Comfortable to walk on pavement and turf. It should have more secure arch and heel support.
