After having my MBTs for a couple of weeks, I am still not very satisfied with them. My feet and legs just ache at the end of my long day on my feet and they get really hot. I've never had that problem before. Am looking into getting expensive insoles and maybe that will help, but unfortunately so far I'm not impressed.

Miracle Sneaker and UGLY -
These are definitely UGLY but once you get used to them they do help your posture, legs and butt. I like to walk 3 miles a day and recently recovered (6 mnths) from a left foot 4th mtsl stress fracture. My left foot (not the movie) is flat and pronates so I thought my walking days were over. I thought I will try the MBT and it has been 3 weeks. Because of my foot problem it is the best I can do. If I did not have a foot problem they would be fantastic!! My legs and butt feel more toned every time I wear them. They are UGLY but I don't care!

I think they actually look good on the foot compared to some other all- or mostly black athletic shoes I've tried. The rocking motion is interesting -- I got used to it quickly. The rigid sole means that this shoe worked for me even though I have problems bending my toes (osteoarthritis). 4 stars overall because of the cost, although comfort is worth it to me.

These shoes are saving my back -
Love these shoes. Im a big runner and it takes its toll on my back. These shoes have really helped. I don't wear them running, but wear them around the house/doing errands. Theyre great.
Only slight issue: they are very very hot. Ok in winter, but I wouldn't want to do a lot of outdoor exercise in summer.

MBT -
I love these shoes! I always had read about them, but was very hesitant to buy them because they are very expensive. I am very glad I did. They really build your calves and I can tell my legs are toner. I only wear them when I workout, so I figure they will last awhile. They are very comfortable and my knees do not ache anymore when I high walk on the treadmill. If you order them, you need to order a 1/2 size larger than normal.

Great Shoe - Black -
I love my MBTs, feet dont feel ache after a lot of walking. I do like the look of the shoes, but only rated it a 4 because I don't like the big silver band across the band - I would prefer all black. This is a little more dressy than regular sneakers.

I got this shoe because it had been recommended to help with heel pain. It has done that! I can wear these all day and my heel pain is much improved. I took the advice of other reviewers and got a half size larger than I usually buy and they are great.

Excellent shoe. Love it. Perfect fit with no problems breaking in. Highly recommend. Have noticed that this particular shoe has a wider space for toes as opposed to another I had ordered and had to return. I don't understand the difference in the two styles. They were the same size. Be careful when ordering others, there is a different size adjustment to be made.

I've been wearing these shoes to work as an RN for a year now and I think it's time I made a comment. They are the most comfortable shoes I've found with one exception...they are a bit tight in the toe box. The sizing on these shoes is tough. I bought my true size (39 2/3?) and don't think a half size bigger would be a better fit. I love the arch support and ease of walking. I don't regret spending the money. I'd like another pair but don't see any that catch my eye.

Trading style for comfort well worth it with MBTs -
I own the sandal and this Sport Low. Orthopedic looking, but who cares? Nowadays there are so many funky and interesting shoes out there that this can look like another trendy shoe--but a trendy shoe with function and purpose--immediately comfortable. I am a "power walker" and walk several miles a day. I wore these all day the first day without any problems. I also am cynical about marketing claims but found that these shoes actually do work different muscles and in different ways than with my normal walking shoes. I wasn't sore or tired, my legs just felt different and I didn't vary any other part of my routine other than the shoes. So I think there might be some truth to the marketing claims and it's not just a gimmick. Have only had them 2 weeks so can't judge their durability yet. Great work Zappos, as always.

No more pain -
I had a heel spur that was so painful I gave up my job of cutting hair because I could not stand for long periods of time without pain. I had physical therapy twice, bought very expensive shoes, had innersoles made to the shape of my foot and nothing worked until a sales girl asked me why I was limping and I told her I had a heel spur and was thinking of surgery. The salesgirl in a kitchen store told me she had the same thing wrong with her foot and a customer told her about MBT shoes. I bought them and within a month I was pain free. I have 2 pairs, and am so grateful to MBT company and the sales lady. I can go back to work and smile again. Valerie V, Lyndhurst New Jersey

MBT- a piece of "equipment"
I love the sport --- the most generous sized style of the MBT walkers. They look like a regular pair of athletic shoes and I treat them as I would a good piece of athletic equipment, given the considerable price. But, it is an investment in my health; I liken it to a treadmill. It's helped my joints and back, I'm pretty happy walker.

Best Shoes in the World -
I bought my first pair of MBT's a year ago and I will never buy another type of sneaker in my life. They do what they advertise to do and I have been low back, hip, knee and ankle pain free since. I wore them every day and needed a new pair. You can't go wrong. Be sure to be fitted for the shoe locally and come back and buy it at Zappos.

I wore these shoes 3 months and the outer sides on the bottom near the heel split apart. Not worth the price. I would not buy this product again.

Roll on -
This is my 2nd pair of MBT's and I actually did the Breast Cancer 3 day 60 mile walk in them. No blisters, comfort and absolutely left my feet and legs in much better shape than most of the walkers I saw in other shoes! You have to build up your mileage though - they really do make different muscles work in your legs so you must get used to them. Once you do - lookout, you'll never walk in another shoe!

Good stuff -
It seems a good shoe and you can really feel it's working out the muscles on the legs and calves. I am still breaking them in. When sitting while wearing them my feet go numb. Overall it seems to do what it's meant to do.

If health issues require you to start walking BUY this shoe!
I found out I had severely high Diabetes. I was forced to go from inactive to active. Doctor said loose weight and walk at 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. In a high-end catalog I read about MBT walking shoes. They are designed to simulate walking on sand. Forcing you to walk using more muscles but less stress on knees, joints and lower back. So you build muscle, increase metabolism. All this innovation creates a more intensive walk-workout than other walking shoes. Still letting you walk within your abilities. ATTENTION!! MBT walking shoes are exercise equipment that look like shoes (Im not kidding!). You have to get used to them. YES they are very expensive but now my blood sugar went from 350 (very high) to 85 the norm. With dieting and walking with my MBT's I lost 48 lbs. So if serious health issues force to go from inactive to exercising INVEST in MBT shoes.

The best walking shoes ever!
It took me a while before I got used to this shoes but this is THE BEST walking shoe that I've ever owned. I took these shoes to a 15 day walking tour of Europe and my feet never got tired... I have lower back issues and I didn't experience any problems with my back or my feet. I recommend that you give yourself a while to "break into these shoes" before you really appreciate the shoes.

Walking on pillows -
Like no other shoe available anywhere. Like strapping pillows on your feet. Only downside is they are a bit heavy. Similar to a heavier Skechers shoe. Nice styling. Took about a 1/2 hr to get used to the balance, and have worn them daily since receiving.

Have back problems and they really help my back. It is much better and do not have to take Aleve like I used to. I was getting cramps in my legs like crazy and they stopped after I started wearing these shoes. I have 3 pair and that's all I wear.

Lifesaver for injuries -
For the injured exerciser, this is a lifesaver. If you still want to exercise, walking in particular, this shoe will allow you to do that. Somehow it balances the foot so that if you have a heel spur or other type of situation, you get enough comfort to walk for miles. It is advertised to create a more intense workout, but for me it enabled me to exercise again when no other sneaker helped.

Awesome -
I was leery of spending this amount of money on shoes but they were definitely worth every penny.
I spend a lot of time at the ocean, and the MBT people are correct, walking in these shoes is like walking barefoot in the sand. I have a compression fracture of the L1 vertebra in my back and have been in have been in constant pain. The fact that I stand for 8 hrs a day on concrete doesn't help. My MBT's have made a world of difference. They even help with your posture because if you are not balanced and standing straight you feel like you are tipping either forward or backward. I have recently had problems with my knee (Baker's cyst and possibility of torn ligaments). The shoes don't relieve all the pain but wearing my MBT's I'm in much less pain than when I'm wearing my orthotics or my crocs (which I thought were the most comfortable shoes ever). I would recommend MBT shoes to anyone and am saving up for the sandals.
If you want to know what walking on a cloud feels like you have to try these shoes. I also wouldn't buy my shoes anywhere other than Zappos, the service I received was excellent.

Worth the money...
These shoes aren't the prettiest, but they are well worth the money. I have had back, hip and knee pain for years and within an hour of wearing these shoes the pain is GONE. I am NOT kidding!!! I was very skeptical but now I am a believer. I also told my chiropractor (who I hope to see less of soon) about them in case they might also help his other patients. True, they won't win any fashion awards but neither will I, so who cares? They feel great. I have been avoiding going places like Disneyland where I have to stand in line because my back couldn't handle it but now I think I might try. Order a size up - they do run small - and watch the DVD that comes with them. They are not hard to get used to but you need to understand how they work. Enjoy your MBT's - I am! :-)

 | | The product was as advertised and of high quality, but what impressed me the most was the customer service. I order one day with regular shipping and these shoes were delivered the following morning at no additional charge to me. Customer service like this does not exist today, except at Zappos. | | ~ Tuck , August 20 2008
