Perfect shoes with the velcro strap, especially for someone with 1 size 9 1/2 narrow and 1 size 8 wide feet, post surgical. Love Zappos, the best company to work with!

I absolutely love these shoes. Finally, I have found a mary jane with good support that is not too sporty. Zappos got them to me in 2 days with no extra charge. Great service.

I normally buy Earth shoes or Rockports, sometimes Walking Cradles, because I like flats that I can wear with dresses as well as pants. I needed some navy blue flats this time & couldn't find any in these brands so I tried Arcopedico for the first time. Since they cost more than I normally pay, I did not expect to be disappointed, but I was. The leather is thin, which makes the shoes comfortable, but already after a few wearings they are conforming to the shape of my feet instead of holding their own shape. The most unpleasant thing though, and the reason I certainly will not buy the Mary Jane style again, is that the Velcro strap does snag stockings. Another reviewer had warned of this & I thought I could be careful enough, but it is not just in putting them on & taking them off, even simply wearing the shoe causes the loops to snag the stocking.

Zappos customer service was phenomenal, as always -- in this case, delivery the very next day! This was my first experience with Arcopedico. Since I had read such good things about it, I was expecting the "Scala" to be much more comfortable than it turned out to be. (The soft leather of the "Shawna" felt much better. The "Scala" had to be returned.) As for looks, the basic shoe is attractive, but the foldover strap makes for too much bulk on top of the foot and looks rather clunky. The Velcro, horrid stuff, tore up the stockings I was wearing to try on the shoes. I wish the strap were instead like what is on my favorite old pair of Mary Janes (Ecco), which offer adjustment by means of a traditional single-layer leather strap with an elastic insert on the buckle side -- much more attractive on the foot and not unkind to stockings. I hope Arcopedico will modify its design accordingly.

I'm on my feet from 10-16 hours a day at work so I need a comfortable shoe with arch support, these did the trick. No break in time and very cute. Worth the money. Only problem is the velcro will snag pantyhose if not careful.

Really cute Mary Janes. Arcopedico makes very comfortable shoes. I have several pairs in various styles and colors. This style has a slight wedge, which is good for comfort and for a little boost in height for those of us who need that! The red ones are beautiful as well and make me feel like a kid again!

Living in Florida, this shoe is so not me! But I need something stylishly comfortable for an upcoming trip to Rome, so this is it! Eye-catching, understated style. And so comfy for walking! As for Zappos, I have NEVER dealt with a nicer, more efficient retailer, ever. The service was unbelievably fast, the next day it seems. I love this shoe and I love Zappos, and I highly recommend both. Thank you!

These were really cute, simple mary janes. Unfortunately, even though they have the same footbed as the Vittoria and the New Queen II, the uppers didn't stretch much, and consistently rubbed my feet in an uncomfortable way. I wear a 39 in Arcopedicos generally, and I should have ordered a 40 in these.

These shoes are indeed good for people with bunions and narrow heels.The Velcro strap makes them easy to fit. They actually weren\'t as comfortable as I expected, and I will need gel insoles with them, but it\'s very hard for me to find shoes that fit so I am keeping them.

These shoes were comfortable the minute I put them on. I have inserts and they fit well in this shoe. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well on a narrower heel and these were great! The sole gives a great cushion.

This is my first experience with Arcopedico, and I am very pleased with the fit and look. I wore these for a full day on a trip into the city; my feet didn't get tired, a result of the good arch support.

The most comfortable Mary Jane I have ever found!
Since discovering Arcopedico's Scala in a highly regarded travel catalog several years ago my feet have been extremely comfortable.
I've tried other types/brands of Mary Janes and nothing has compared thus far.
Being a children's librarian I'm on my feet most of the day. These shoes look nice with all types of outfits. The leather breathes well and in 5 years there has been minimal scuff marks on the leather work.
I wish the style was more readily available and in a wider range of colors. However, Zappos was able to find the colors and size I needed very handily.

These Arcopedicos are the third pair I own. I reach for them all the time, because they are very comfortable and attractive. The look good with pants and skirts -- probably not so great for a very dressy look.

These shoes are the best teaching shoes I have ever purchased! I am a teacher and on my feet most of the day. They have all day comfort even when walking from classroom to classroom since I do not have my own room (elem music)! I would recommend these to anyone especially those who stand or walk a lot.

I had bought a black pair a couple of years ago and decided to order a brown pair before they were no longer available. I have had many positive comments regarding these shoes...asking where I had purchased them. They truly are the most comfortable shoes in my closet.

These shoes are very comfortable and actually look nice too. I ordered the black suede ones and really like how those look. I wore the shoes for a week and one of the straps came unsown...for shoes this expensive this probably shouldn't have happened. Zappos replaced them and I checked to make sure the straps were securely sewn into the shoe. Hopefully these won't fall apart. I got the black leather this time, but I like the black suede much better

Cute but not comfortable -
These shoes are so adorable, but sadly they provide little if any arch (or any) support. They feel like you are walking barefoot, which may work for short uses but not for hours and hours of walking on pavement. Another problem: the velcro strap has only one position -- you can't really loosen it because then it doesn't lay flat -- the strap is designed so it only works when it's in the fully tightened position.

These are extremely comfortable. I have pain in my big toe joints and this shoe is adjustable enough to allow more room across the toe area. That is hard to find in shoes today!

Cute red shoe -
I have a teeny skinny foot that's hard to fit and I mostly wear lace-up shoes for good support. For years I've been wanting a cute red shoe that I can do a little walking in. There have been many returns in my efforts to balance cuteness and support. At last, Scala is here! Zappos had it in my two possible sizes (5. and 5.5), I had time to test them on carpeting, and now I have the shoes I've been wanting for years. I haven't had occasion yet to wear them outside, but I'm looking forward to that.

AND I was upgraded to priority status. I have to say WOW. This is the most impressive online service I have had from retail - ever. I bought my wedding shoes from you back in Feb, and I do recall how fabulous your customer service team was. I can't believe I have waited this long to purchase from Zappos again. You went above and beyond my expectations and I greatly appreciate that-esp. in these times. I order online a great deal because of my busy schedule and it is hard to go out and go shopping. This is the best treatment I have had by far- and I haven't received my shoes yet, but I know I'll get 'em much sooner than I thought. KEEP IT UP!!!
