My husband had to fly to Denver during their recent snow storm. His snow boots were missing. I placed an order with Zappos and the shipped his new Sorels to his hotel up on the hill. Awesome customer service!

Okay! For my first pair of snow boots I decided to go with the Caribou. I must say the look good, but they are poorly made! The first pair I ordered had the biggest air pocket in the sole of the left boot so I called Zappos and they immediately send me a second pair. Turns out the second pair had the same problem only a bigger hole in the sole of the left shoe! If you were to go out in the slush and snow with Caribous, I know they will eventually fall apart fall and soak your feet. There are some reviews out there on how flawed the are and even pictures of people pressing the water out of their boots. If you ever decide to get a pair: Look for a small hole on the side of the of the soles of both shoes just to be safe. Also listen for hissing noises coming from your boots. If you notice this immediately contact Sorel and let them know that there is a serious flaw with their boots! Try not to get pissed when talking to customer service because they don't know what's going on; it's the CEOs that need to tighten up!

I bought these for my husband after I bought a pair for myself last year. He spends lots of time outdoors in the cold, sometimes slushy, Chicago winters and was envious of my cool-looking, super warm-looking boots. The defining moment was a weekend he spent camping outdoors in January in Wisconsin and realized his current boots couldn't hack it. He loves his Sorels. Fit perfectly, true to size and room for a second pair of socks. Later this winter he'll have another outdoor camping weekend and will test the true grit of these boots, but I can assure you he will have a warm, dry experience based on my own experience of these boots. He uses these to exercise the dog for long periods in the park; and to walk through our woods in the snow. Don't waiver; if you're looking for good, tough snow boots, just get these.

Just received today and these boots virtually need no break in. I was a little worried about the size 10 boot, my normal size is 9-9.5 in boots. Going by the size chart I decided to go with the 10 and I will say that with good insulated socks these fit perfect. Should do well in upper NY this winter. They even upgraded my shipping for free. Ordered Thursday, received Monday! Thanks Zappos; been a customer and staying a customer.

Good looking boot and comfortable, but the shaft circumference was WAY TOO LARGE for me. I wouldn’t describe my calves as small and usually boots are too tight for me, but I’m going to have to send these back.

Hard to find Sorel in Dark Brown -
I must say Zappos wowed me!! I ordered a pair of boots for my husband and found a pair of Sorel's for me that everyone else was sold out of- I called them while placing my order online to see if I could get faster shipping and they took care of me 100%- They upgraded my shipping to overnight at no charge.. I will buy from them again...Thanks.

As always, Zappos delivers. These are great boots that have kept me warm, dry, and comfortable. The sole does not pick up mud due to the open tread design. The lacing system is very quick. I expect to get a lot of miles from these boots in the heavy Lake Erie winters.

These are great waterproof, comfortable boots that keep feet warm, but are a little on the heavy side.

Great winter boot -
This boot is everything advertised. No break in period required its comfortable right out of the box. The only downside is the boot is so well insulated, if you wear it in less than bitter cold weather, they can be too warm.

Great winter boots!
I bought these for my husband who did not own a pair of proper winter boots even though we live in upstate NY. He was reluctant to wear them being quite fashion conscious and one of those guys that's "fine" wearing whatever, but once he spent a morning snow blowing the driveway in them he was sold. He loves how warm and dry they keep his feet. Granted, he used to wear leather ankle boots so this is not a great comparison. Anyway, no complaints so they get the thumbs up.

Very warm, completely lives up to its reputation -
I bought several pair of winter boots and took a long time to find one that got the job done right, and the Sorel Caribou was definitely the clear winner. My only disappointment with it is that it is a pretty heavy boot. I have plantar fasciitis and have a hard time finding boots that work for me, because most have so little arch support, but the Caribou provides a good amount of stability and also allows me comfortably slip in extra arch supports. The heavy weight does make it painful on some days with the plantar fasciitus, but it's getting broken in well and will become more flexible by the looks of things.

Great cold weather boot -
I have been wearing Sorel's for 20 years. If you live in a snowy environment or plan on spending time in the mountains skiing or other winter fun, these are great boots, very warm and comfortable, a must have for cold weather.

Super cool looking, classic, and comfortable -
I love these boots. We wore them sledding and our feet were very happy. I would recommend these boots to anyone. The fit was perfect with plenty of room in the toe for thicker winter socks. You don't want to squish socks or you won't be warm. I'm glad to have these in my arsenal.
