I love them. These are my first pair of Dan Post boots and they are great: soft, comfortable, sexy and well-made. The service from Zappos.com is great, too. I am very satisfied.

Overall the boot is comfortable. There is slight rubbing on the sides of my ankles and I hope this newness takes care of this after they are broken in. They felt a little large; however, that may be because I wear a thin sock.

Great boot and lightning fast shipping -
I've been looking for another pair of black cowboy boots but wasn't having any luck. Found these on Thanksgiving night and was pleased with the price and the higher shank. (One of the problems I had encountered when looking for cowboy boots is most seemed just a tad too short and I wanted something to come up higher on my leg.) Wonder of wonders, the boots arrived at 9:30 AM the next day! They fit well and I was even able to fit my arch supports in them. I rushed out to the local western wear store to get silver tips put on the toes. Silver boot tips cost about $25 but protect those pointy toes and look oh so cool! By Friday afternoon I was sportin' these great boots. They were very comfortable. I have since worn them to work and, like almost any other cowboy boot I've owned, after 9-10 hours wearing them; they were just a tiny bit uncomfortable. But, heck, I've worn them a lot and walk all over the place in them. People have asked me where I got them and given me many compliments.They look good under boot cut jeans and with dresses and skirts. I wanted a boot that didn't break the bank yet looked great and could be worn all day. Every cowgirl (even if you live in the city) needs a pair of black cowboy boots and these fit the bill just fine!

Wow!
I don't understand where earlier reviewers discussed the need to (briefly) break in these boots. They felt great right out of the box! They did not come in my half size, so I may ultimately need a thicker (or extra) sock for best fit. Not as heavy as I expected, which is both a plus (more pliant) and a minus (will they be as durable?). And I love the way they look, too! Thanks Zappos, for expediting delivery, even though I didn't request it.

Great cowboy boot for dressier occasions. I received MANY compliments wearing them to a rehearsal dinner with a red dress. My feet got a little sore after wearing them for over 6 hours, but they were much better than wearing heels, and they were brand new, so they will probably break in. Overall, great fashion boot.

I haven't had a pair of western boots in awhile and these were comfortable from the moment I put them on! I love how they look! I ordered them at 10 or 11 PM on a Monday night and they arrived the very next day! Zappos upgraded my choice of standard delivery to next day delivery - imagine my surprise to see them less than 24 hours from the time I placed my order! Thanks Zappos!

Great Boots!
This is my first pair of Dan Posts, and I love them. I have always worn Fryes, but this time around Frye did not have what I was looking for. I ordered these boots for their looks, but when I tried them on for the first time, I was amazed at how well they fit, and how comfortable they were. They look very narrow, but they don't hurt my toes at all. Also, there was virtually no break-in time needed, and they are true to my size. They look great dressed up or down. Overall, I am very pleased with these boots, and if I can just get the longevity out of them that I always do with Fryes, then I might be changing brands for good.
