Wow! Fantastic comfort right out of the box and good looking shoe. I wear 13C and have trouble finding shoes that fit, but these feel great. Also, I got next day delivery at no charge. Great service!!

I have been buying this same shoe for over ten years because of its traditional style and comfort. The composite sole is also very important to me since I tend to drag my left foot do to childhood polio and I therefore wear out leather soles in six months. This shoe can be worn for casual or dress occasions.

Riva is both stylish and comfortable -
I can hardly find shoes in my small size, with an extra wide width, these shoes are extremely comfortable due to the rubber soles, yet, they look sharp because of the soft kidskin uppers. I am going to order another color.

Very stylish and comfortable shoes. They feel a little strange because of the continuous sole (no gap between heel and sole) but not hard to get used to. Zappos service and delivery were great.

My husband absolutely loves these shoes. They fit perfectly and for a man who has so many problems finding narrow shoes, he is in heaven with these.

Feels like a gloves on your feet -
The leather is soft. The slippers are very light and it takes a while to get used to wearing them. Perhaps, because I am used to slippers with flat soles that fit loosely, although I only buy slippers in my exact size. (9 1/2 C) The only negative thing about these slippers is they look too nice, more like street shoes than slippers. They are well worth the price.

I tried this on in a store. It runs about a half size big. I usually am an 8.5 and sometimes a 9. Usually a euro 39. My foot is medium width, but just a hair wide (though not enough to buy a wide size). Anyway, the 8.5 in these was quite loose. I would have needed heel pads, even with mid-weight socks. The 8 felt great. I didn't get them though since they didn't have an 8 in the color I wanted, so I'm so glad Zappos got them in stock! Yay! The buckle straps are flimsy, but unless you touch them, they don't look too cheap. There is a bit of cushion in the footbed, so I think they'll be reasonably comfy.

My husband has been wearing these shoes for years. Recently he realized that he needed a wider shoe, and was thrilled that Zappos offered it in a wide. Now it is even more comfortable.

Quality issue -
This is a great shoe which is stylish and very comfortable for daily use. However the buckle on the top (with the "F" on it) popped out of the shoe one week after I got it. I currently had to reinsert it and glue it back on. Not very impressive workmanship.

Dress comfort -
I have owned sveral pair of these shoes over the years the leather uppers are soft and very comfortable not much in the way of arch support but I doubt anyone would be doing much long distance walking in these shoes. The leather lining gives the shoe the look and feel of quality.

I was so pleased to have found exactly the shoes I had been seeking. They arrived in good form and are, in a word, perfect. Many good buys can be found online, but most of them are negated buy shipping charges. Not so with Zappos.com. My Florsheim Rivas were just as comfortable as I had remembered. I had had a pair just like them but they were lost during hurricane Katrina. Thank you Zappos.com.

Zappos, you're the greatest!
Shoe-shopping has ALWAYS been a dreaded experience for me. I have big, wide feet. Stores never carry my true size, and I always end up with something that almost fits but pinches my toes or is too narrow. Twenty years or so ago, I had a pair of Thom McMann shoes that were an exact knockoff of these Rivas. They were too small for my feet but were still the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn. I actually had them resoled when the low-lifespan rubber soles characteristic of these shoes wore out. When the uppers finally started to come apart, I had to search for the real thing, and I found it at Zappos - and for the first time in my adult life I have shoes that actually fit my feet! I bought the burgundy first, and just recently added a pair of the black ones. I plan to order a pair of brown ones next. Just like everyone says, these shoes are the ultimate in comfort. Wearing these with a suit almost makes you feel like you're cheating -- but they are as classy in appearance as any other dress shoe! One final note: Zappos, I have ordered from you several times now. The shoes always arrive much faster than anyone could expect, and when I have had to exchange something, your service was hassle-free. I heard about your company from a Sears shoe department salesman who buys all his shoes from you. Please stay in business forever and keep doing business the way you do!

Nice shoe, but...
This is a nice looking shoe and fits reasonably well, but it doesn't hold my heel well and it feels as though I will step out of it.

For my dad...
I bought this shoe for my father. It is his preferred style in a shoe, but not mine. That is why I gave them a 3 star rating. He said that they were very comfortable. He is extremely happy with them.

Soft as a moccasin -
Softest leather I have seen in anything short of a slipper or moccasin. They look great, wish they had the wider sizes, the 3E is a marginal fit for me but it's OK (wear a 6E when I can find it).
These are NOT walking shoes, soles are very thin and you can feel the slightest underfoot irregularity similar to a moccasin or slipper. Great at home, the mall or dining but not for use off finished surfaces.
Don't misread this, I really like the shoes and recommend them for casual or dress occasions.

These shoes are great! My dog chewed my first ones and I was insistent on having another pair so I had to wait for them to get them in stock. I saw a pair of shoes in a store on Saturday that I wanted, but they didn't have my size. I found them in my size on your site and ordered. I realized that the zip code I used for delivery was wrong and called customer service. She fixed the zip code and then said that she saw I paid for 3-day shipping. She said she would upgrade me to free 1-day shipping (without any request on my part)! Amazing... Well, I thought the shoes would be here on Tuesday, but they were delivered this morning (Monday) by 8:30 am. You guys must have a great relationship with FedEx!
