Great boots, very light and they need no break in. I have been wearing this particular model for several years and love them. Zappos has also been very nice to deal with.

Very satisfied. As others have stated, these boots are comfortable straight away. I quickly replaced the insole with green Superfeet and love the comfort. Buyers should know these are not stiff shoes. If you hike a lot of rocky or rooty trails, or carry 30+ pound packs, I would consider another shoe (Vasque perhaps). Anything less and you cannot lose with these. They are my shoe of choice for any traveling I do involving outdoor activities. Excellent craftsmanship in a real quality boot. I highly recommend these; comfort and quality in a lightweight, but supportive boot.

(Men's size 10B; bought 10.5M). I bought a pair of these back in '01 and they lasted 7 years. Awesome shoes. I really wanted a new pair, but at the price they better be perfect. Tried a pair of 10.5 Narrow. Turns out that they lowered the heel ridge so that with custom orthotics, the ridge sits right on the heel instead of just above, so I get significant heel slip. (Same story with the medium width.) That, with others' complaints about stitching, was too much for me. A shame; they really were very lightweight and comfortable. (BTW, these shoes cannot be re-soled.)

This is my fourth pair of Lowa Renegades which I guess pretty much says it all about how much I like these boots. They're light, tough, and at least in my experience require about 15 seconds of "break in" time. Great boots...and outstanding service from Zappos.com, I might add.

Great friends with these boots...in less than a month.
I have a high instep which can make it hard to get boots on and off. Not with these, undo the first eye's and a little pull on the tongue and step out...very nice. The boots can be cinched up to give great ankle support as well as aiding in walking by giving you a little kick forward with every step. I bought them to use in my fishing boat in the spring and fall, hope to stay warm and dry (I'll post another review if I get wet feet)? Minnesota, nine months of winter and three months of tough sledding.

I bought my first pair in 2006. Black. I used them for everything, believe me. I hiked, biked, snowshoed, worked, walked on sidewalks etc, etc. I completely stopped to use my other shoes. Great comfort, light, flexible, these boots are top of the line. Only problem I had, a couple of weeks ago I went for a snowshoe trip, 6 hours in wet heavy snow. My feet started to get wet after 3 hours, stitches broken. So I went and bought another pair (brown this time) and plan to have those old ones fixed.

Was looking for comfort work boot on concrete, I am on feet all day. These shoes are a comfortable shoe but not on concrete. Looks good, quality seems good, would be better for casual wearing and outdoors.

These are great boots -
I bought my first pair nine years ago and I just bought my fourth pair in 2009. I walk about 20 miles a week with my large dog since I got him in 2000 (that's 1000 miles a year, equal to 8000 miles, all the way across the US from Pennsylvania to the Pacific and now we're back home again, metaphorically). I've traveled in Africa and Cambodia too wearing these boots. They are wonderfully comfortable in the cold Pennsylvania winters, and in the hot tropical summers. I just love them - wear them all the time, wear them out every two years, get a new pair. What more can I say?

I LOVE these boots. My feet pronate, supinate, and I have a recently healed broken heel. (Yes, a healed heel.) These boots are comfortable, fit perfectly, (buy a half or full size larger than usual) and negate all my foot problems.

All around Good Quality -
After driving all over the city and searching several Brick and Mortar stores, I finally found this shoe online at Zappos. Ordering and shipping was a breeze and Fast delivery as promised. The shoe itself is high quality, and after just a couple of days of wear felt very comfortable. I usually wear a 10 Med width and these shoes fit true to size. My first shoes from Lowa and certainly won't be my last. The styling and color are exactly what I was looking for. I wear these shoes everywhere and they go great with jeans and cargo pants. Excellent!!! Good job Zappos!

Never a problem....
I bought these for a trekking trip thru the Andes. I had owned an older pair for about 5 years and they were comfortable right out of the box. These are also very comfortable right out of the box. I did two long training climbs without a hitch and then logged about 80 miles in the highlands of Peru.
As waterproof as I would want them to be (they're not mountaineering boots) and all-day comfortable. I wish I could add stars to the ratings!
Only downside is that the insole could have more cushion, but not a problem for the first 100 miles.

Classic-looking lightweight boot -
These Lowas are well made and are comfortable right from the start. They fit well, have a very stable footbed and of course are completely waterproof. I found the last to be somewhat narrow for a "D", but I'm hoping this will ease a bit over time.

Exceptional Comfort -
I've been wearing this boot for about two weeks now and I am pleased with the comfort and the look. It is an extremely light weight boot, so time will tell how durable it is. I have had good luck with Lowa in the past and I am thinking about purchasing another pair to rotate. Zappos service as is expected was excellent.

Great fitting boot -
I started wearing Red Wing hiking boots a few years ago because I was tied of everybody telling me to just snug up a medium width on my narrow foot because they didn't make shoes in a narrow width.
Imagine my surprise when Red Wing decided to stop making the boot I liked in a narrow width... What's up with that?
After some web searching I found the Lowa Renegade GTX. It was a little more expensive than the Red Wing boot I'd been buying, but the look was almost identical. These boots fit like a glove right out of the box. I wear them on a daily basis and have been extremely pleased. I will definitely buy this boot again when the time comes to replace this pair.
