Great for kids with super wide feet! I ordered the 8 1/2 in XW for my 3 year old daughter. I have problem after problem finding the right fit for her feet because they are so wide AND chunky. These shoes fit her feet perfectly.

Cute sneaker -
Although these are a cute sneaker, they are synthetic. I was disappointed, because Stride Rite usually puts out a great shoe for kids. My daughter loves them, but her feet get so hot and sweaty in them because they do not have the breathability of leather. Next time I will read the reviews more carefully before I purchase another Stride Rite shoe or any shoe for that matter. As always, dealing with Zappos is a pleasure!

Narrow shoes -
My daughter hasn't put them on yet. They look very cute but seem to be very narrow compared with her other shoes. They're cute and reasonably flexible (not too stiff), but if you consider buying them, I recommend a wider size, say if your kid normally wears "M", buy "W" for this one.

My daughter is still complaining that these shoes hurt. I keep hoping they will soften up.

Daughter's butterfly tennis shoes -
These have been great tennis shoes for my daughter. She not only loves having butterfly shoes, but also enjoys how they feel.
