I ordered the black and white Sorel boot, and I had read the reviews that described this boot to be really wide and the tongue to be a bit uncomfortable. I decided to order them anyway. Now I have to return them because they are insanely wide and are very clunky. Since I take public transportation on a daily basis, I need to have a boot that allows me to move as swiftly as I would like, and these boots are just too clunky for a quick dash to the train. Oh, and the print is not as cute as seen in the picture.

Great shoe, great service!
This was the first time I have ordered from Zappos and I am VERY impressed! I live in Pittsburgh and we definitely get some sloppy weather and taking public transportation into the city everyday means I need a warm, waterproof, reliable shoe! The 1964 PAC by Sorel has been great so far! They are incredible warm, very heavy duty, waterproof, and cute! It took a few wearings to get them to loosen up (was doing the Frankenstein walk for a few days!) but they are great now -- you do need very heavy socks with these boots as the tongue is extremely hard and can rub against your shin and leave a little mark, nothing major though. Also, I usually wear a 9 1/2 shoe and ordered a 10, fits really well. And, as if the shoe wasn't great enough, Zappos upgraded my order to priority overnight shipping for free! I had my new boots in about 24 hours!! I will definitely order again!

This boot is the perfect combination of warmth, comfort and fashion. It is well-made and fits true to size. Even though the boots are bulky with the boot/footie insert (which is why they are so warm) they are easy to walk in. I have small heels but the boots don't slide up and down like many other boots do on my foot. All around perfect snow boot!

Cute Waterproof Sorel 1964 Pac Boot!
I have been looking for a waterproof boot after getting my feet soaked when wearing Uggs in the snow! After examining all Sorel and other comparable boots, I finally chose the Herringbone (although they really have a Houndstooth pattern). I find the design itself (Herringbone, Houndstooth, whatever you want to call it!) more interesting and stylish than their standard, solid, boring colors. I do admit they are quite wide, but that’s when you wear thick socks! The tongue is a lil stiff, but that is b/c it is the same waterproof material as the rest of the boot… stitched tightly to prevent water leakage. I simply tuck my pants in for added cushioning or I tie the laces up only to the 2nd most top loop. They were a little tough to drive in at first, but that goes with getting used to any new boot. I live in Couthern California, so I don’t know how much daily wear I'll need them for, but otherwise they are good for my trips up to the snow or simply jumping into a huge puddle in the parking lot!

Very warm and waterproof -
These boots are great for the snow. I was looking for something that I could walk through slushy puddles in without worrying about the leaks and these boots are perfect. They are super warm and comfy. They are pretty wide, so I'm not sure they would have enough support for a real hike, but they are great casual boots for around the city. I have the hounds tooth boots and they are really cool looking.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Uggs.

So uncomfortable.
These boots I have a lot of issues with. First off, they aren't herringbone, they are houndsooth. Secondly they are the least comfortable boots ever in the history of the world. The liner doesn't come all the way to the front leaving your skin exposed to the rough tongue of the shoe. Just walking around my house for a day I nearly had my shin rubbed off. Thirdly they are almost impossible to walk in. Too stiff for your ankles to move in. I'm returning these ASAP.

Warm and cozy boots -
I live in NJ so I'm not in the tundra or anything, but I heard it was going to be a bad winter this year and needed some boots to keep my feet warm and dry. I've worn my Sorels a couple of times, and though they were super clunky at first, I wore them in a bit and they became comfortable. My feet were very warm and stayed dry the whole time, even while walking through NYC on a rainy/slushy/nasty day. So I would recommend these snow boots!

Much like another pair of Sorel’s I purchased, these shoes are insanely WIDE. Comfortable? Sure. Cute? Leaves much to be desired. If I want waterproof boots, are my feet destined for a life of ugliness? My tootsies deserve better.

Everything is wonderful -
To be honest I haven't had the opportunity to wear the boots yet but I will soon. I did try them on and they were comfortable.
When I called your company to do a price match, the woman who helped me couldn't be nicer. I have been in the customer service field for 10 years and I am extremely impressed with your customer service. I love that you all sent a thank you card in the mail for purchasing a product from the company. I love your return policy and your shipping and your price matching. Overall I love your company, I have been telling everyone I see about how wonderful it is and I will certainly be purchasing from you all again.

Cute, warm boot -
I have had another pair of Sorels for at least 10 years. They are extremely warm and very durable. When I saw these I had to have them....cute print and warmth.

Sorel 1964 Pac Herringbone -
These boots looks really wide but they fit great with the thick liner and are really comfortable (altho' just a bit heavy). Can't wait to wear them in the snow.

Love these boots -
These are the one and only snow boot anybody should own. They're a classic. They are comfortable, warm and cute.

I have always been a person who believes in giving the best service to all I come in contact with and rarely get it from the retail world, but I gotta say, Zappos beats ALL retail hands down, and free shipping both ways to boot!? This was only my third or fourth time I have ordered from you, but I will definitely check Zappos.com before I shop anywhere else from now on.
