Mine are now 3 years old and have been everywhere -
Still in great shape replaced the inner soles after trip to Thailand and weeks of sweat. I use these shoes with brown socks and they pass for tennis shoes when traveling. I will buy another pair and I'm thinking about some Keen hiking boots.

Quite possibly the most comfortable shoe ever -
After an initial break-in period (several hours), these shoes are incredibly comfortable. I can wear them all day with no discomfort. Great support all around, including the very important arch area.
Add Keen customer service to Zappos and you simply cannot go wrong.

Cool Keens!
A great shoe; comfortable from day one. Great for wading in ditches, or walking around town, with or without socks. Cushioning is great and so is traction.

These are really great shoes. They were very comfortable the first time I wore them. The overnight shipping was incredible. I couldn't be more pleased.

So comfortable, sneaker alternative -
I got these shoes after I bought a pair of Keen Vienna’s and couldn't believe how comfortable they were. I wanted shoes that could be a sneaker alternative and didn't have traditional tying laces (I'm always in a hurry). I always wear socks with them and have had absolutely no problems. I take daily 3-mile walks on sidewalks and street and haven't had any knee pain; these shoes have great support and cushioning. I got my usual size and though the front of my foot is wide, the toe box is plenty big.

Great sandals -
Bought Keen Newport last may, love the shoe and bought Newport H2 and Taos. I wear a size 10 in the Newport. I ordered a 10 in Taos but it was 1/2 bigger to make a perfect fit. These shoes are delicious to the feet. I have a weight problem and having a comfortable shoe to walk for long hours is hard to find. But I have my answer with the Keen. The return and exchange possible is the best that I have perfect customer service. Better service than going to a store. The no shipping is just a great offer that no one should refuse.

Another winner from Keen -
This is my 5th pair of Keen! I wear between a 9 and 9.5 in the Keen brand and ended up with a 9.5 in the Taos. Have been wearing them for the last few days and so far they are comfy and no signs of discomfort whatsoever. Arch support is great and I should know, having plantar fasciitis. Having the adjustable toggle is very nice because one shoe fits a bit looser than the other. I have orthotics and can use them instead of the Keen removable insole if desired. Great service as usual from the Zappos team - couldn't ask for better! Thanks!

My favorite shoe, ever!
These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! There was absolutely no need to break them in--and they have a bounce to the heel that makes walking in them effortless! Took them hiking in NM and they were great! I have never gotten a blister, a rub or had any degree of discomfort wearing these shoes! It's amazing!
I've read the other reviews, and for people whose heel seems to slip, I would suggest pushing your heel back against the inner heel of the shoe, and tightening the toggle lace very tightly. Your heel will then not slip, and your toes will be free in the toe box.
So-o-o comfy. Because I love this shoe so, I wanted to buy more Keens in different styles, so I tried the Salem and the Lucca, but the fit just isn't the same. Right now I'm waiting on the Targhee II---it would be nice if it was a keeper like this one!
And Zappos has been great!

Narrow is Nice -
One of the reasons I purchased this shoe is that the reviews said it was narrower & since I have narrow feet, I relied on other people who had worn it & am very glad as the fit is fine. I appreciate the sturdiness of the shoe & especially like that it can be tightened so easily. Since I need more arch support, I simply inserted an "across the counter" type of support & it was worked fine. The shoe was great for hiking at Yosemite. Definitely recommend it!

No more overheating feet!
I purchased these particular Keens to add to my Keen collection because I needed shoes to run and hike in that would let my feet breathe especially in the "heat storm" summer of 2006. They were really good for that, they don't let your feet slide when they're sweating and you can run in a river without getting a zillion tiny pebbles stuck in your shoe. They were almost perfect. I had to buy some Dr. Scholl's heel liners to keep my heel from slipping. Other than that they were true to size, looked super cool and had awesome arch support!

KEEN fanatic!!!
I LOVE these shoes. I already own the Newport H2 sandal and I wanted these because they have a closed heel and I can wear them into the cooler months. The difference between the two is that the Taos have a more cushioned foot bed and feel AMAZING. They are also narrower in the toe bed than the Newport H2 which are slightly wide on my feet but still very comfortable. By the way, my husband loves his Keen Newport's and I think every man's legs look amazing in these shoes. Also, when we wear our Keen's, especially when we are traveling, people always ask if they are comfortable and we end up talking about the merits of this brand.

Nice but narrow -
These are very nice all around, but I found them to be a tad narrow & I consider myself to have pretty average width feet, I would recommend folks who consider themselves to have wider feet to get them in a wider version if available. Other than that I do love the way they sound and feel when your hiking on the trail, they also are nice & durable and have a nice cushiony arch support & lift in the back with a bouncy step like sporty shoes should feel. Good shoes can’t go wrong with Keens.

Great Shoe!
Wore them when I hiked Mt. LeConte in the Smokies - the support, cushioning and traction were great! I plan on wearing them when hiking in St. John's next month. When I first wore them without socks, I developed a blister on my little toe, requiring me to wear socks with them (I usually wear a 6, maybe I should have gotten a 5.5?). Even though the heel slips a little, I did not get a blister there. Haven't tried them in water yet.

Love the shoes -
I usually wear a 7 but had to go with a 7.5 in these shoes. They are great for all-terrain hiking, but you should really wear a sock. Even though they have some anti-odor soles, my feet still got stinky-GROSS! I love the shoes though and am now considering the Targhee!

Heavenly Hiking -
My 4th pair of Keens (H2, Monterey and Sydney), the
Taos is by far the most comfortable...excellent
heel cushioning. I started with a size 6 and found
it slipped in the heel...although my other Keens'
are a 6. The 5 1/2 was perfect...these are like
your most comfy tennies, with air-conditioning!
Good with light socks also.

Great looking shoe, very light weight. However, it ran half a size larger and wider. I can see why blisters would be a problem-the heel cup is too wide, and my feet run a medium width-so it would probably work better for those with wider feet. I’m sending mine back as there are no 4.5's.
The Keen Boulder felt less wide than this one.

I have Morton's neuroma and plantar fasciitis. I wear 8.5 but ordered this shoe in a 9 because that's the size I wear in my Venice H2's. Unfortunately the Taos is narrower than the Venice H2 in the toe, and the heel seems to slip no matter what kind of socks I wear. A 9 is actually too long, but I don't think I'd be able to get my foot in an 8.5 because it runs so narrow (and I have normal sized feet). The insoles are comfortable, so it's too bad I'll have to return it. I love Keen's though, and am sure I'll find another Keen that will suit my fussy feet. And thanks to the great service at Zappos, I'm also sure I'll be a returning customer whenever I need shoes!

Great Shoes!
This is the third pair of Keen's I've purchased and I love every pair I've owned. It takes about an hour to "break them in" and then they are so comfortable! People often ask me where they're from.

The shoe feels great on the foot. The device that keeps the laces snug comes loose which affects the fit.

Great hack around shoe-
I have been a keen fan for several years now; this is my 3rd pair of Keen shoes and I am planning on getting more. My husband bought the Taos first and I thought they looked great. He said they were very comfy and yes they are. I wear mine all day and with out socks and they feel great. A great all around shoe for camping, light hiking, and mall crawling, too.

Update on the heels!
Ouch! I ended up with major blisters on my heels. Something is not right with the heels on these shoes. I am basically in love with everything else about the shoe, and after massive blistering initially; I think I am past that stage. I just can't see how anyone could wear these in without blisters. They are plenty big on my foot, so that isn't the problem. It’s the material or the height or something of the heels. WATCH OUT for these, and I say that reluctantly, since I'll probably love them now that I have toughened up my heels.
