I'm so disappointed. The boots are beautiful, exactly what I wanted. After reading reviews I decided to order a wide boot, but they just don't work. I like to wear skinny socks, but I can't due to the very snug fit. Plenty of toe space but just too tight. Darn.

Love these boots & love Zappos. These boots are true to fit and wear great right out of the box with little break in period. Very comfortable and look good with pants and long skirts. My first pair had a manufacturer's defect in the toe, but Zappos took them back (even though I had worn them) and shipped me a new pair right away. Zappos you guys are awesome!

I love these boots! Comfort, height, funkiness - they have it all! The wide toebox is particularly appreciated. I walk about a half mile to work and back, so I have high standards for comfortable and stylish shoes I can wear all day. There is a gel-type cushion built into the heel of the shoe - at first it felt to me like the insole might be peeling out or sliding forward, but I got used to it quickly and have come to appreciate the cushion as it helps me stand longer and walk farther without fatigue. I also really like the longer shaft, as I can cross my legs without my socks showing,unlike most other ankle boots.

When I first tried on these boots I was worried about the width. I don't usually wear a wide so I ordered the regular width. They were a bit snug around the arch at first, but after wearing them for a day they stretched out a bit and fit great. If you are someone with a wide foot, definitely opt for the wide. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than what I usually wear and the length was perfect. This is a great boot, and with the chunky heel, it is easy to wear all day, very comfortable.

I have purchased 2 pair of the Fitzwell Riana boot. One for myself and the most recent pair for my daughter. We are both thrilled with the boot. The leather is soft and beautiful. People comment on them constantly, asking where we purchased them. The fit, for both of us, was right on. Love the style, but it was at least a whole size too small. In Chicago winter, you wear thicker socks, but even thin trouser socks were very uncomfortable with these boots. I love the square toe and the chunky heel, which are so hard to find these days! The stitching on the outer part of the sole is rubber, rather than real thread stitching, but nobody would be able to tell. Overall, love the look, but will try a larger size. I usually wear 8.5 and will try the 9.5, as the 9 was too small.

Very stylish boots. Great chunky heel. As advised in the reviews, I purchased a half size larger boot and they fit perfect. I wear with a trouser sock and I have a high arch and they are still comfortable. I found the heel to be a little hard from the inside of the boot, so I did put in a half insole for heel and arch support. I am very happy with these boots. I bought the black ones first and soon as I got them, I bought the brown ones as well. If you're looking for a stylish chunk heel boot, look no further, order these!

These boots are fabulous! It's hard to find a chunky heel anymore. I bought a 1/2 size larger (because of the reviews) and they fit great. I do have a wide foot and that wasn't a problem for me (as other users said that may be something to watch for). I did have to put a half insole in for more comfort on the heel and arch, but other than that, they worked out well. The leather is thin with a suede lining, so they are definitely a dress boot. I love them; I bought the black ones and soon as I got them, I turned around and bought the brown ones!

The boots I purchased were perfect. This is a nicely crafted shoe with a fine grade of leather. Even the inside of the boot was stylish, and built for comfort.The product and Zappos' service exceeded my expectations.

I normally wear a 7.5 medium and ordered these in a 8 wide based on reviews. They fit perfectly and are quite comfortable. I'm not in love with the way they look, but overall like them enough to keep them.

Loved the boot but didn't fit -
I loved the look of this boot. Unfortunately I have a wide foot and it pinched the forefoot. Was wide enough on the calf. Really wished these would have worked for me. I did get the Gabriella Roche Melissa which seems wider in the forefoot area.

I was unsure at first...
When I got the boot, putting it on with my regular tube socks was impossible. I thought the shoe was a full size smaller than marked. So I wore them around the house on carpet with thin trouser socks for about 30 mins. The next day I wore them to work (I'm an accountant, so I'm up and down periodically). By the end of the day, the boots had begun to stretch because they are leather. I've had these boots for over a week and I wear them 3 to 4 times a week. I love these boots now. I have gotten tons of compliments; they look great, feel great, and get great traction.

Great stylish boot for a decent price -
I purchased these boots for work because they seemed to be a comfy boot at a reasonable price. I couldn't afford to shell out the money for boots from a known brand like Born, so these seemed like a viable option.
Upon opening the box, I was a little surprised at how "cheap" they appeared, but after wearing them a bit they softened up a little and looked much nicer than I originally thought.
I ordered these in a 9.5 (normally an 8.5-9 depending on width) and was glad because the 9 I ordered in black was way too small in the arch. I think the 9.5 are a bit too big, but the arch is so snug that a 9 wouldn't do. I also have a wide foot, and didn't notice problems with these boots as far as width was concerned.
I also liked that despite my large ankles and calf, these boots fit. I have a hard time finding boots that fit because of this, but I think the height was perfect to accommodate my large calves.
Lastly, I also ordered the Gabriella Rocha Melissa boot because I wanted to see which would fit better. They are the EXACT same boot. The ONLY difference was the little Fitzwell gel bit in the heel. I guess both places get the boot from the same generic factory because every other detail was exactly the same. I chose to keep these because of the gel bit, though it is rather useless in the heel, would be much better in the toe portion. I would like to add a full gel insole, but think that with the low arch clearance this will be impossible.
Overall, some flaws, but for the price, I got a decent boot for work and for walking around the city. In Germany this is truly an accomplishment.

Love this boot -
Like many of the other reviewers, I had best luck with this boot by ordering a half-size larger than I usually wear (8.5M instead of 8M). It is snug through the arch, but fits me well because I have a narrow foot. They look great -- the square toe and chunky heel are indeed hard to find. I think that look is more sought-after than shoemakers realize -- this boot was sold out of my size twice (over a year) when I tried to order it! I finally ordered in the dark brown, which is very close to black anyway, but my size in black became available the next week so I exchanged. If you want something similar but a bit lower heel and not so narrow, try the Fitzwell Rika -- I liked that one too, just preferred the more interesting look of the Riana. The Rika fit me true to size -- an 8M -- and not snug through the arch, so it may be a good alternative for people who like the Riana boot but don't find it quite comfortable.

Shaped funny -
This boot looks cute but there is something strange about the way it fits. I normally wear an 11 or an 11w and ordered an 11w. This boot fit on the length but the width was entirely too narrow. Further, the shoe feels as if it presses down from the top. Perhaps it would be a better fit for someone with low arches and narrow feet. This was my last attempt at the Fitzwell brand as every shoe I've tried from Zappos with that brand has been badly sized.

I agree with many reviewers who wrote that these boots seem a little tight in the middle, and feel roomy around the heels and toes. As I am wearing them in, though, the fit continues to improve. The design is just as nice as it looked on-line, and I am very happy with this purchase.

On the narrow side -
I bought these boots because I read reviews that suggested they ran narrow and I have somewhat narrow feet (and a low instep). Me and my narrow feet find this boot to be quite comfortable, attractive and versatile, although their heel support thingy took some getting used to. Overall, I am quite happy with them, and would recommend them!

Way too small -
I normally wear a 5.5 medium & ordered a wide based on reviews here. The wide is really a "smallish" medium (regular width). The heel was very tight (as reported) but I felt like it could break in easily. The leather is supple and very nice. The length of the 5.5 fit, so I know the 6 would be too long, it's just not wide enough!

Very pretty -
I love this style with chunky heel, and for some reason they are hard to come by with any designer. MAKE MORE! This shoe feels very light on my feet after my regular Harley Davidson boots. Leather does not feel like the price of this shoe though, but I am keeping them nonetheless. They are true to size, but word of warning - I have very narrow feet, and these fit like a glove. If you have wider feet, you will have problem breaking them in.
