Balanced fit/holds a 17" HP laptop/good value -
I purchased this bag as a replacement for my cross-chest messenger bag to transport a 17" HP laptop. So far - so good. The 4 zippered-openings are great. 2 waterproof chambers for laptop and portable drives/ipod; and 2 other non-water proof areas. Plenty of room to stash everything needed for site visits, air-travel, and daily work/walking/commuting. The shoulder straps are comfortable and distribute weight very well. Sometimes I carry two laptops (multiple detachable drives, 2x pwr supplies, etc)... barely notice the add'l weight. I haven't (don't plan to) use it beyond the current purpose, so I am not able to evaluate it beyond stated experience. I would/do recommend this bag for similar use.

I love my backpack! I bought a laptop a few months ago and I needed a backpack that could fit my laptop, my snacks, textbooks, notebooks and all the other junk that college students carry when they're on campus all day. The first backpack I bought was off luggage.com and it didn't have any reviews. It was the worst backpack ever! Every compartment ripped after 2 months. So I decided to look at Zappos since I buy a lot shoes here. I read the ratings on this backpack and it had plenty of good reviews, so I bought it. I love it! It holds so much stuff! The material is really strong. I'm a biology major so all my textbooks are sciences, my books are really thick and heavy. This backpacks fits up to 3 three inch textbooks, a laptop and a few notebooks. The compartments are really nice, I can organize my pencils, pens, calculator, lotion, money etc. There are also 2 hidden side pockets on each side of the backpack that are really nice :-)

Great features, but uncomfortable neck!
I love this backpack, except that the handle at the top pushes my neck forward, which is really uncomfortable. I tried using the sternum strap, and also adjusting the shoulder straps, but I think this bag could really use a hip strap to counterbalance the pressure at the neck.

There are so many compartments. There is a place for everything. It never feels too heavy. I love my backpack.

Trendy laptop backpack -
This backpack is comfortable. Has plenty of pockets and storage. Very trendy for today. The padded straps are nice. The only reason I gave comfort of this backpack a 4 was I think it needs more padding for the laptop area to your back.

Used for my motorcycle to work and school -
This holds my laptop perfect and very comfortable! I cant even feel it when I wear it when I ride. I enjoyed the free overnight shipping. Bag got here the next day. Thanks so much!!

Backpack -
The backpack fits my 17" laptop perfectly. The side pockets accommodate my power cord and mouse very well. The second large compartment offers enough room to hold other supplies and even clothes and toiletries for an overnight endeavor. I highly recommend this item.
