Beautiful boots, shame they don't fit!
These boots are visually gorgeous and are of very nice quality (I bought the mink color). I like the round toe and the thicker, stacked heel means more comfort. I have 14½" calves and have NEVER found a pair of boots to fit around them, so I had high hopes that these would fit perfectly. However, while the boots fit my calves (with room to spare!), the rest of the boot does not fit the rest of my leg, causing the leather to sag and droop. I looked like a sad elephant. The boots are also sized quite large - I normally wear a 6½ - 7, and the size 6½ was MUCH too big (I probably could have gotten away with a 6, maybe even smaller). I'm disappointed because they really are beautiful, reasonably priced, and made of real leather, but I guess they're just not for me.

Best for bigger calves -
I like the round toe, lack of buckles or weird textures, and the more functional heel (not a skinny stiletto). Unfortunately my legs are apparently thin by today's standards, and most tall boots - including these - are too wide in the calf and ankle. I'm 5'2" with an average build, and the shaft was way too big! I measured the widest part of my leg to be about 14" (give or take 1/4") so the circumference given in the description is probably pretty accurate. They are nice looking, no complaints about that, and the foot seemed comfortable. I wear an 8 or 8.5, and usually buy an 8.5, which would've fit perfectly.
No reason not to buy these if you have bigger calves & ankles.

A nice, plain, wearable, work-appropriate boot.
These are quite comfortable. They seem true to size and width. I got them to wear to a work seminar weekend to wear with skirts and trousers. They look nice although they are very plain. They serve their purpose well. The leather is soft and the heel is very stable.
