Wonderful shoe - I usually have to wear sneakers due to a severe case of plantar fasciitis. I have had pretty good success with Clark's in the past, but this shoe is by far the best that I've gotten from them. I had to attach a heel pad to keep from getting a blister, but otherwise I can wear these comfortably without socks. Excellent fit for narrow feet.

I've had the best luck with Clarks shoes in the past and this one is no different. It's comfy, funky, cute and fits my wide, flat 11 W foot like a glove! The closures take a little getting used to; don't be afraid to pull on them as they stretch quite a bit. I also ordered the Clark Un.tale slip on in brown and it's magnificent as well. The price of Clarks is well worth the superior make and styles!

Orthotic Friendly!
I just landed a teaching job and needed to find shoes that were dressier than sneakers that I could do a lot of walking and subway-riding in. Problem is, I have knee issues and wear orthotics, and can't wear most dress shoes. When I saw these shoes in the store, I got excited because they had a removable insole. Sure enough, when I removed the insole, my orthotics slid in easily, without changing the fit of the shoe. What's more, the soles have good traction and keep me stable while standing. I wish they looked a little less rustic, and I wish the straps were easier to fasten (I break at least 2 nails every time I put the shoes on), but I've seen much clunkier orthopedic shoes, so I can't complain too much. Also, the shoe is a little loose in the heel, and I fear that it will only get worse--but that's not a big concern since the shoe has a strap.

Ahhhhhh -
This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. It doesn't feel like you are even wearing a shoe at all!!!! I have them in both brown and black!

Awesome Shoe! These are the most comfortable shoes I've purchased in a long time. They're true to size and soft inside. I'll be purchasing them again as soon as my size and color choices are back in stock.

Walking on clouds -
I bought these while in NYC visiting my sister. We'd done a lot of walking and the shoes I'd brought were killing me. I worried with new shoes and more walking but these are like walking on clouds. I couldn't stop remarking on it to my sister for the rest of the visit and wear them all the time still. They only lose one point for style because they could be considered a bit of a granny shoe. But really, they are cute, even for a granny shoe.

Clarks Un.fasten black leather 9.5 -
I love my Clarks Un.fasten! Even though I was looking for comfortable shoes, I wasn't sure about the look of these at first and kept telling my husband I thought they looked like granny shoes. And they do--but I've barely worn any other shoes for the past few months since I got these. They are so light and comfortable on the feet, with far more arch support than most shoes. I do agree with reviewers who say the back of the shoe sometimes rubs a bit and the elastic is a bit hard to fasten, but I'm willing to overlook these two small issues in exchange for the amazing comfort. I'm usually a 9 but got a 9.5 in these for the best fit--the strap keeps the shoe secure on my foot.

Cute everyday shoe -
I have been wearing this shoe almost every day since I got it. Yay Zappos with your fast delivery. Yay Clarks with your dependable comfort. I did have a short breaking in period in the back. It was noticeable, but not painful. This cute shoe works with jeans, khakis, and a casual skirt.

Good looking shoe for hard core walking -
I was looking for the perfect shoes that would allow me to walk long distances without compromising looks. I found that in this pair. My feet feel as though they are in heaven!
The reason why I rated comfort with 4 stars is because the edge of the back of the shoes cut into my heel. However, once I put a band-aid on my foot to protect the area, they were perfect!
Another detail... they are kind of hard to fasten, and they tend to be a bit tight on the top of the foot. If you are not sensitive in that area though, I don´t think it will be a problem. Also it seems the strip gets looser and comfier the more I use them. I recommend wearing socks too. I tried them without during a long walk and my soles burned a bit from the friction, though perhaps that happens with any shoe?
Anyway, I do recommend them, they are extremely cute, extremely soft and it seems they will last forever.

Are they orthopedic?
I love to wear the shoe. The comfort and construction is wonderful and worth the price. The problem is it looks a little like an old womans shoe. Not very hip or modern. If comfort is the point - then go for it!

Clarks Un.fasten -
I was told the shoes were a non-break-in shoe. I did find that I had to break in the right shoe. The first day I wore them I had a blister on the back heel. However, once that was over with, the shoes are great. I'm actually buying another pair in blue.

Brown Un.fasten -
Very comfortable; supportive, especially compared to most shoes; well made.
A different type of Clarks shoe that I tried (Gingham, I think?) felt a little bit uncomfortably narrow to me, but these are perfect. I've tried on other shoes from this line of Clarks as well, and they are all just as comfy and supportive.
The leather seems to be good quality, and the detailing is quite nice. They're not going to make a crazy fashion statement, but they do add a little bit of style for work or casual outfits and are comfortable enough that you won't care anyway. (They also won't go out of style, which is another plus.) I do think the button makes them super cute too.
I would say these are worth the $.

 | | Dear Zappos:
Just a quick note to tell you that every time I call your company, the people I deal with are so nice. They are patient and helpful. Perhaps they should help the airline industry, in teaching good customer service, and manners. Your employees are the best.
Thank you.
