I am a convert to this brand after buying these shoes! I love being able to wear heels but stand on my feet all day. I had to wear these shoes during a work day that required me to stand for 16 hours straight. Yes, my feet hurt at the end of that day, but they didnt start hurting until the 10 hour mark. I think that says a lot for boots with heels! The leather is so soft and my feet feel well supported during fast city walking or standing still. I love this brand! I only wish the foot wasnt so rounded, style-wise.

Way overpriced but besides that, okay -
I've owned the Terry for about 4 months now and I have to say, they do not meet my expectations of a shoe that costs this much. The look is great, the leather soft and supple, (and waterproof) but as far as comfort goes its just kind of, eh. After wearing them for a while the heal starts to hurt, no real padding on the bottom or arch support. In all, I'd say buy them but only if you can find a great deal. Otherwise, its just not worth it.

What a treat!
Attractive enough for lots of compliments, enough of a heel to avoid the comfort shoe look and super comfortable right away. Whatever stars you have, these Terry's should get.

Pretty, functional, could be a bit more comfortable -
This boot is very well-made and comfortable despite the heel. I wear Danskos and was hoping I would get the same comfort - it's not the same, but as good as one can get with a heel. The stability is good, but my feet are happier when I get out of them. I was looking for something functional as well as pretty and unique and this fits close enough. Wish they were even more comfortable though.

Disappointed -
I own 2 other pairs of La Canadienne shoes and love them. They have a short heel (rare find), are waterproof, and stylish enough that you can wear them at work without changing into other shoes. I ordered Terry in brown and the color was awful. The best way I can describe it is that the underlying color is a deep reddish brown (rather nice) but then it looks like someone polished the boots with a black shiner. There are all these dark brown/black splotches and smears all over the shoe so that the seams and wrinkles are lighter than the rest of the shoe. It looks like you walked through a puddle of water and it didn't dry quite right. I really wanted to like them but wore them with 3 different pair of pants and they still looked ugly. I had to return them. Maybe it was just my pair. I suspect the black ones would look better.

Very stylish and cute.
I love this boot! I have 3 other pairs of La Canadienne boots, more on the cold weather side though. This is the first pair that are more for all day wear indoors and out. They are comfortable, but not as much arch support as I had hoped for, can still wear for many hours, though I would not try to walk a long distance in them, thus the reason for only 4 stars on comfort.

Beautiful boots -
Gorgeous little boots, giving new meaning to the words buttery soft leather. Slightly distressed rich brown leather in an updated Victorian style. Super comfortable and well-lined. They're worth the money.

The Best Boot I've Tried -
I love everything about these boots. It has taken me 3 years to find a boot to replace my "favorites." These have the perfect heel height, the perfect fit, and they are soft and comfortable.

This is an awesome boot, really comfortable to wear all day - I am supposed to have a spinal fusion so I have to be comfortable. They are really cute, lots of compliments and they are completely waterproof to my surprise!!!

Put to the test -
I got caught in a torrential rainstorm last night (the weather reports did not forecast rain at all) and I had these boots on. I felt a little worried about ruining these boots because while they might say they're waterproof, they look too rather delicate. Well let me tell you, these boots are definitely waterproof. I walked through driving rain for about 30 minutes--through pretty deep puddles and everything and my feet were completely dry. This morning, I inspected my boots for watermarks or damage and they look just as good as when I took them out of the box for the first time. I'm very impressed!

Cute and comfortable -
For someone who is most comfortable with my heels lower than the balls of my feet (think Earth shoes) these boots are very comfortable. My husband likes them much better than my earth shoes, too. They are both modern and old fashioned making them a good match for a lot of my outfits.

Unbelievably comfortable!
Just received these boots in black and haven't taken them off yet. Based on other reviews I ordered up a half size and that was perfect. I have wide feet and a bunion on my left foot but my feet fit fine in the boots and the bunion is not bothered. I haven't worn boots in years but having just recovered from a severely broken ankle and surgery I thought a boot might offer some ankle support. These boots are so comfortable and really cute. The leather is super soft, the interior is cushy, they have great arch support, and I like the rubber sole. The heel on them is just too cute. I'm back to order them in brown. I know I'll be wearing these boots a lot this winter. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a cute, stylish boot.

Very Pretty, but slightly disappointed -
I love the look of this shoe: it is very elegant and looks fantastic. However, there are two problems. First, the zipper on the right boot has a tendency to slide down over the course of a few hours. When you pay this much for shoes, you expect them to stay zipped. I also have another pair of La Canadiennes that do the same thing on the left boot. I took that pair back to the store where I bought them and they tightened the zipper which sort of fixed the problem, but still. They are too expensive for this type of annoyance. Unfortunately, I bought them at the same time and this isn't the sort of problem that manifests until you wear them outside and, after that, it is too late to return them. The second problem is a bit sillier and that probably has more to do with my expectations: while the boots are waterproof, they are hardly true all-weather boots. The padding is too thin on the sole: you can feel the pavement and the cold through the sole. They work great in the rain and light snow, but they are very slick on the ice and difficult to walk in the deep snow. Given how much prettier they are than other winter boots, perhaps they weren't meant to fulfill that function. Still, overall, if like me you need a winter shoe to wear with your work clothes; these are about the best out there. So, happy on the whole, but for the money, I expected more.

La Canadienne Brown Boot -
These are the most comfortable pair of boots/shoes I've ever had. I was concerned about spending so much money on them. However, the money is well spent. They are beautiful and comfortable. The fit is great. I have a narrow foot and they fit snug. So I would say they are a little narrower than a B width. But not too much. I'd love to get a black pair.

Another beautiful product from La Canadienne -
These boots are absolutely beautiful- I am very glad I selected them but now I want more. The 9 fits perfectly and I wear 8.5-9. I have wide feet and they fit well. The style is retro but ultra modern at the same time. I love this line of shoes, they are extremely well made, the leather is super soft, and the quality is superb. Thanks Zappos for the fast delivery.

Terry Boot Shoe -
I have a hard time finding shoes that fit my feet. Mainly because of a bunion on my right. I wear an average size 9 and the minute I slipped this boot on I could tell I would have no problems. It's not a shoe I would consider super cute but it is a good go to boot for everyday winter. I ordered the brown which has the look of being slightly distressed but still is a high quality and very well made. Love the microfiber lining. So far the boot seems waterproof but hasnt really been tested yet in that dept. I would order more La Canadienne's.

This bootie more than met my expectations, super stylish with the latest rounded toe and curved heel. Leather could not be softer, I walked all over Rome in these cuties, no problem. They update anything you wear from casual to dressy, do I like these boots? No, I LOVE these boots!

Great boot -
I am so happy with these boots. I ultimately bought a half size larger than what I normally wear--my regular size was a little too tight, but the half size up is perfect. Love the color, love the style and I especially love the heel. It's the perfect height and perfectly placed and because of its shape, it looks dressy. The bottom of the boot is rubbery and offers traction so I won't slip and kill myself this winter while trying to look good.
I wanted a boot that I could wear all winter long that did not look like I was returning from an Arctic expedition, just getting off my motorcycle or finishing my shift at the stone quarry. La Canadienne delivered.

SEARCHED FOR A MONTH AND GLAD I BOUGHT THESE!!
So far these boots have been great. I have worn them several times and they were comfortable right out of the box. I wear a size ten and have VERY, VERY wide feet, so I ordered an 11 and they work great, especially with thicker socks. The quality of the boot is spectacular and the leather is butter soft. The style is classic and very unique with the heel being a perfect height for someone like me who is 5'9" and doesn't want to look like a giant yet still look dressy. The shaft height is great for both skirts and pants. The only complaint is that the leather on the toes is a bit plastic looking compared to the rest of the boot, but I realize this is because of the special waterproof treatment which I have yet to test out. I live in Seattle and have purchased many so called waterproof leather shoes and have yet to have one that actually works or doesn't mark the leather. For the price of this boot I don't really feel like testing them out, but I do wear them in light sprinkles and they are fine. I have the brown and if I had the money would order the black!! Very much worth the price and so different than anything else out there!

La Canadienne Terry boot is the best -
This is the most money I have ever spent on a pair of boots, but honestly they are so worth it. As soon as I put them on I knew that they were keepers. They fit my feet absolutely perfectly. The heel has nice cushion, the sole in non-slip rubber, they are even waterproof which is so important living in Seattle with such wet weather. These boots are so comfortable and stylish at the same time. What a concept!

Soft, comfy, and stylish -
These shoes are the usual La Canadienne success. I have a large foot with a bunion on my left toe. I hate usual looking boring shoes. I walk 2 miles to and from the university. It is difficult to find an interesting, stylish shoe that fits and can sustain walking that distance. These work. I love them. I've worn them three times already without any blisters or foot pain. The leather is so soft and supple, it is like wearing a glove. The heel is low which makes it easy to walk in them and they are cool looking. I ordered 10.5 and probably could have fit a 10, but decided there is room for thick winter socks. I live in the north where its cold and snowy for many months of the year.

And a little funky too. The fit felt a little loose but I wasn't wearing socks so I think when I wear socks they'll be fine. I haven't worn them a lot yet but they seem quite comfortable.
