Best EVER boots!
I have 4 other pair of Frye boots and I love them all, but these are the most comfortable and cutest looking of them all. For me, there was no break-in period, they were comfortable from the first day, and I wore them all day, with no socks. I did order a half size up and I'm glad I did. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.

I love Zappos as much as my Frye boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If ALL internet purchases were as AMAZING as Zappos...I'd be the happiest camper ever! I ordered these boots last night at 9pm Eastern Time and I got them the NEXT day before noon!!!!! WOW!!! That is impressive!! The boots are BEAUTIFUL!! I own 5 pairs of Frye boots and they always run One size big for me. I am a true 7 1/2 and I always have to get a 7 in Frye. These particular boots are gorgeous and can be worn with anything from skinny jeans to your favorite sundress. I got the grey color. However, they are more of an olivey brown...still hot!! Long live Frye boots and Zappos!!!!!!

Yes, buy them. You won't regret it.
If you like Frye boots, then you need no convincing. These boots are the usual Frye superb quality. Beautiful stitching, nice wood heel, gorgeous shape, high-quality leather, SO comfortable, they take around 2 days to break in, but when you're breaking them in, they're not that uncomfortable, and you'll be getting too many compliments on them that you won't care. After you break them in, they will be, like all Frye boots, your most comfortable shoes. I think the brown looks especially good in the summer, when you can't wear sandals, like at work. They're slightly western, but not in a "I like to pretend I'm from Texas" sort of way. More like a "Yeah, that's right. My boots are awesome and you're jealous" sort of way.

I love these boots. I have been thinking about getting Frye boots for ages and I also wanted some Western style boots that are really plain and traditional. No pointy toes or lizard skin for me, thanks. These boots fit the bill perfectly. The quality is what I would expect and really worth every penny of the price. Frye boots tend to run big in my estimation. I normally wear a size 9 (and occasionally even a 9.5), but got these in an 8.5 because I knew that they would stretch. They require breaking in, but are really amazingly comfortable once that happens. I am not a fan of the Frye boots and will definitely buy more!

I love my Fryes!
These boots look great and are very comfortable.
After being in a cast for 8 weeks with a broken foot, it was hard to get back to normal shoes. These boots are a little stiff when putting on but they are extremely comfortable.

Sturdy and stylish -
After breaking in (approx 1 week), the boots are comfy and practical. Great height and balance without feeling like heels (I am used to flat flats only). Great with dresses and under or over jeans. A great everyday boot which will last. Looks tough, but with style.

These boots are super cute. I was unsure of how comfortable they would be when I first put them on because my heel came up a little when I walked, but then I realized that is part of the design...because they are such solid shoes.
If you plan to do a lot of walking you should put a little gel insert on the ball of the foot and that makes it quite comfy. They make a little bit of noise when you walk due to the hardness of the shoe, but not an annoying "clip clop"...more like an audible soft "thud".
They look hot with a skirt and with fitted pants tucked into the boot. I got the mushroomy color and I think it’s pretty versatile.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase and they are a great addition to my collection.

First off this boot in an 8.5 in this color was sold out everywhere...not at Zappos! I ordered them at noon and got them just before noon the next day. Now for the shoes...they rock! I can run around in them all day...though they are a little slippery when it's wet out. I did have to squeeze my right foot in just at the heel the first five or so times I wore them...I should have just picked up a shoe horn but never got around to it! They are good to go now and I fear I'm hooked on Frye shoes...expensive habit...oops!

BEST FOR WIDE CALF!!!
Oh my gosh!!! These boots are amazing, my calf is like 16" and I can't fit in anything that’s too high up. This boot gives me the choice to show the shaft (I normally hide the shaft because I’m unable to zip it all up) and with that extra cute buckle detail, I feel like a movie star. Although the shaft is short, but for people with wide calf, you should invest in these boots!!! They feel a lil’ narrow for my feet because mine are pretty wide, but I believe it will expand after wearing them for a while. It goes so nicely with shorts and jeans, just love it. Giving it a five star is not even enough.

This boot is simply the best! It looks great with dresses, skirts, jeans, whatever! You can dress it up or down. It's a must for your shoe collection if you like to be cute and sassy!! I bought it in cognac and it's an amazing color.

Comfy and cool Carmen’s!
After the disappointment from the Campus boot, the Carmen has the perfect heel height for me, provides arch support which affects my instep comfort and looks great worn under and over jeans, plus skirts! They are absolutely the coolest boots around-even on the East Coast!

Overall the boot is stylish. Returned because it was not gray or mushroom (as another review put it). The color is definitely a light brown. I also did not like how the boot made my legs look. They hit at the wrong spot on my athletic (larger) calves. Buckle is a fun touch!

I love the boots however they are too narrow for my foot. It looks like you don't offer any other widths so I'm going to have to return them. I'm bummed because they are beautiful!

I am in love with Frye’s! I bought these in grey, which is more accurately a mushroom color--very neutral. Great fit, although I probably could have gone a half-size smaller...I figure I'll wear them with thicker socks. Extremely comfortable and I love the back strap. I bought the taller version of this boot in brick too, and I absolutely love those as well. I cannot stress enough what stylish and well-made boots these are!

Love them!
I wanted boots that looked somewhat like cowboy boots, but not with a tall shaft and not too much "flair." These are perfect. I wore them for the first time today, and the fit is snug, but I'm sure they will get more comfortable after I break them in.

Love these boots!
I originally bought these boots in black from another retailer - but then checked Zappos and I should have known, they were much cheaper! So, I ordered them in brown to see which pair I liked more. They are both super cute, but I went with the brown - plus I saved $$$ compared to the other retailer. My favorite part of these boots is the cute strap in the back, too bad you can never see it when I wear jeans!! These are great and worth the money, I have a feeling they will last me a long time!

I love these boots and hope they last forever! Versatile, classic and stylish at the same time. I've worn them with skirts and jeans--they really go with almost everything. And super comfy from day 1. I never thought I'd spend over $200 on a pair of boots but love these so much I just ordered the Lisa shortie (sorry but not available on zappos).

They were true to size, comfortable considering that they are a high heel (compared to what I usually wear). The leather soles were slippery @ first, needed to be scuffed up a bit. I did not get any rubbing or blisters from them, as I do w/ most shoes while breaking them in. Frye’s are my favorite brand of shoes. These boots are very unique and stylish... I have received many compliments on them even from strangers!!

Dressy rugged; and color, fit, and slippery fix -
The so-called "gray" color really looks like a blend of brown, gray, and green, and depending on the colors of your surroundings, it takes on any one of those. Benjamin Moore paints would consider it to be a "complex neutral". I saw that Frye has a distressed leather in a shade they call "fatigue", like army fatigue, and this has that look too. It's a lovely color, truly neutral. It's a pretty shiny leather but with sort of aged/darker areas around the toe and heel.
Fit was tough for me to decide. I usually wear a 10, but am a 9.5 or 10 wide. I tried this boot in 10 and 11, and ended up keeping the 10, even with my usual Smartwool (medium thick) socks. The 11 felt pretty comfy but I clomped around too much with my Smartwools. I would judge the width as a true Medium, not Narrow.
As far as them having slippery soles, they do, and you can take them to a shoe repairer and have him or her add non-slip pads. (You can also get heel protectors to keep the heels in great shape for years to come.) I LOVE these boots, and the quality is evident from the start.

Love these boots!
I was looking for a good pair of boots which I can wear any time because it takes "commitment" to wear long boots if you know what I mean... They go well with both pants and skirt. Just right height of heels that are comfortable at the same time make my legs look good. Very well made. Good quality of leather and heels. Frye always makes good shoes. I am absolutely loving them!!!

Stylish Frye -
These boots are very nice, very rounded toe, lots of room. Actually true to size, I've found some of Frye’s sandals are sized somewhat small.
These I bought in a taupe color, which was not offered at Zappos.
