I have a serious problem with swelling of my lower legs and feet. Regular crew socks literally cut into my legs and feet. I purchased these socks knowing that if they did not help, I could return them to Zappos with no problem at all. These socks are a godsend. They are by far the finest socks that I have ever owned. They are so wonderful that you really don't know that you are wearing socks and they are stylish in appearance. They don't look like they were purchased in a drug store, and they keep my feet dry. I can't believe that there is no elastic in these socks, either. As for the price, my wife works in a clothing store and brought a pair to work. The store owner recognized the socks immediately as being the finest that you can buy and he also could not believe the price I paid. He explained that they normally sell for 1 1/2 times the price we paid. Thank you, Zappos, and please keep them in stock.

Very thick athletic sock -
I bought these for my edema. The W in size description means WIDE. The socks are very thick with a padded foot bed. They are too thick to wear with any of my shoes. I am keeping 1 set to sleep in on nights my feet are cold but I can't use them otherwise.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: ECCO, Kangaroos & Privo -always fit & no break in time.

Disappointed with socks -
The socks were huge, much bigger than the description. Almost as if they had been worn and washed for many years. Too expensive to be of this poor quality. I have a problem with swelling of the feet and legs, but these socks are too big for the swollen feet and legs. Disappointed.

My dad loves his new socks...even if they are white.
For most of his adult life my father has worn black dress socks. Several years ago he developed diabetes and unfortunately edema in his feet and legs, as well. Trying to find comfortable socks has been a trial by failure after failure. But I found what I wanted first try on the Zappos site. Now I know where to go to get some more socks for my Dad. Even if they only come in white.

Great sock for legs with edema -
I very often have edema in my lower legs and ankles area, as i am on my feet for 8-10 hours everyday. This socks were great as far as the stretching and comfort for my swollen legs. The part of the sock around the foot was a bit thick though.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: If you need comfortable shoes, definitely check out the Asics Gel Cardios..THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!!!
