Many a mile in a short time…
Brand new... took to Eastern Europe for a walking, train trip. First day a blister, wore different shoes for a day so it could heal… then I LIVED in these boots for close to 3 weeks. They turned out to be not only comfortable yet keep my feet dry in the rain. A long skirt, tights and a short skirt, or long pants and this 60's plus gal was out and about.

Loved this ECCO Wave GTX Boot -
Walked all over Ireland in this boot...or that's the way it seemed. Was comfortable, stayed dry even in the "boggiest" of trails. Gave me great traction on steep grades and was good looking enough to wear at night in pubs. Loved these boots. I did buy an inexpensive arch support at my local drug store and that made the boots feel better. Wore them morning til night for 3 weeks.

All-day boot.
This boot fits extremely well. I was able to wear a heavier sock because it can be tightened up with the laces. The look is good but not special. However, it is well worth the money for the comfort it gives.

Magnificent boot -
I bought this boot to travel to London and Paris in March. It was perfect. I can ASSURE you it is completely waterproof, not just water resistant. I thoroughly tested it. There's not a lot of arch support in it, so I bought an orthotic before I went, and my feet DID NOT HURT throughout hours of walking and stair climbing. Certainly one of the best pairs of shoes I've ever purchased.

Ecco Wave GTX Bootie -
I bought this boot for a trip to DC in February. It fit very well without a breaking in period and got even more comfortable with wear. I walked all over DC in cold (but not snowy) weather - my feet never got cold and felt great all day. Now I wear them to work (in California) and they're great here, too. My only complaints are that the loop on the back sometimes hangs up the hem of my jeans and the laces slip a little (like most cord laces), but those are little quibbles - overall the shoes feel perfect and I get frequent "cool shoe" compliments. I started buying Eccos because I'm on my feet all day and was developing foot pain from almost any other shoe - they're more expensive, but definitely worth it for me.

The best fitting shoe I have ever had!
I have had a very difficult time finding comfortable shoes. These are the most comfortable boots and my orthotic wedges fit very nicely. I plan on always having a pair of these boots in my closet! Ecco’s: please create more in summer type shoes.

This is a great boot. Very comfortable, true to size and looks good. Wore it in New England weather with heavy socks and my feet stayed warm.

COMFORT PLUS!
The ECCO Wave GTX Bootie is extremely comfortable and well-fitting. If you are considering purchasing a pair, it may be beneficial to look at the “larger view” from the front and the side. What you see is what you will get. The fit is true to size with a roomy toe box that allows the feet to spread and toes to wiggle. The arch is perfect. The Gore-tex lining is flawless as I have had many occasions to prove this winter. These booties easily transform from outdoor to casual indoor footwear. If you purchase a pair, try them on and walk around indoors for five minutes. You will find that they mold to your feet in that short period requiring hardly any more breaking-in. I can't say enough about these booties. They are my third pair of ECCOs and I recommend them to anyone looking for comfort, fit, style, appearance, and functionality.

I wear 5 1/2, but 6 with an ankle brace. Your online catalogue said a 6 would be size 37; but I know I wear 36 and ordered 36. They fit fine; 37 would have been too large. I think the sizing in the catalogue should be revised.

Amazingly light and comfortable and warm -
I tried lots of different boots with different insulation and none fit well. This is really comfortable and surprisingly warm. No insulation except the gore tex lining and a thin fleece lining but that seems to work. Not clunky like most boots. Laces allow me to wear thicker wool socks when cold or lighter ones when not so cold. I wear this to work with pants and it looks great.

Better than expected -
My foot measures 12A. These shoes "fit like a glove" with or without bulky socks. Pretty amazing. They also force my foot to align naturally rather than fall inward (whatever that's called). And the laces stay laced! Never had a shoe with skinny laces that stayed laced. Have worn them in temps below 20, and ice and they're great. I love them so much that I bought another pair of Ecco shoes and like them just as well. Highly recommend. Well worth the money.

Glad I didn't send them back -
When I first put them on the arch bothered me a little, after wearing them for a few hours it bothered me a lot...so I put an orthotic inside which felt better at first but later became ineffective, I took it out and put the shoe on without it again, this time it was heaven...I love the shoe! Few days of pain was well worth the end result.

I was disappointed in this shoe. Ecco makes great shoes but this one fell short. They have little support and feel more like I'm wearing a pair of galoshes. For a winter walking boot and at this price I expected something more substantial. I love the free shipping and returns policy and Zappos ships fast so I am still a loyal Zappos fan and will keep shopping.

Comfy soft boots -
I had a broken foot and was only able to wear one pair of shoes. I ordered these boots and they ran big on me. Zappos was great and sent me the smaller size immediately even before I had the chance to send the others back. Size 35 was perfect and fit well. Oh happy day, I now have another pair of shoes that don't hurt my foot. They felt like I had worn them forever. Can't beat the Zappos customer service. Thank you so much.

Ecco Wave (or Swash) casual boot -
I have just purchased a pair of these boots, the ones I have are called Swash but I believe they are the same, just a different name. For some time now I have had trouble finding comfortable flat boots that are suitable for wearing in a smart casual office. Ecco have come up trumps each time. They are smart and very comfortable, a bit like walking on cushions really. If you have never worn Ecco's before, give it a go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
