The guy from New York is incorrect. These are very comfortable. I walked a crazy amount of miles in these shoes every day, for a week. I was in Japan, in Tokyo. If you have ever been to Japan you will know that there are a lot of stairs and a lot of walking. 10 miles (average) a day, for a week. They were comfortable every mile. Go to a Clarks store and try these on, you will love them!

It is what it is -
If you have a narrow or less voluminous foot you might want to order a half size down or else your foot might slide around too much because of the leather insole. I'm still mulling it over. The shoe is breathable, but not super breathable. (The only shoe that's been able to keep my feet 100% dry is an athletic shoe with tons of mesh near the sole, but it's not something I can wear to work.)

Good Shoe Short Life -
I just wore through this shoe I bought in July of 08. I had heard of Clarks reputation so I got the Un.vaughn from a Clarks store. IT WAS THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE I HAD EVER WORN. BUT it didn't last nearly as long as I was hoping. For me it was an everyday shoe but the two drawbacks were the price and the durability. I was expecting it to not wear out in 8 months when the majority was standing on mats as a bank teller. The comfort was amazing and it is surprisingly light. If you can afford it you won't be sorry but for me I'm in search for something comfortable and durable and not so expensive.

Love these, but..
I've had a pair of these for 3-1/2 months and they quickly became my favorite pair of shoes, to the point that I wear them almost daily. As someone else stated previously, they very comfortable, almost like wearing slippers or moccasins. But just like slippers or mocs, they not for someone who wants a lot of padding or substance between the sole of their foot and the ground they're walking on. The venting really seems to work -- my feet never get sweaty or stinky in these.
Negatives: I doubt I will get a year of daily wear out of them. The Nubuck is looking pretty beat up, but nothing has outright failed, so from that perspective it seems they are well made. Lastly, I have a hard time with the price in light of the fact that they are made in China. Nonetheless, I'm going to order a couple of spare pairs. I like them that much and can afford it. I guess that's what Clarks is counting on. ;-)

Some good features BUT sole is too THIN.
I was looking for a good walking shoe. The saleslady recommended this new line and it felt great the first time I tried it on but that's because I was indoors. The moment you walk on hard concrete you realize that the soles are WAY TOO THIN to be proper walking shoes. There's nothing between your feet and the ground. After walking outside for about 10 min. it dawned on me why Clarks call this line Un-Structured....there's no structure!! If they want to call this a walking shoe then they'll need to beef up the heels and soles a lot. If you're walking only indoors it feels fine but not recommended for outdoor walking-around-town use.

Comfort and style -
The unstructured line has soft leather and a comfortable fit. The Un.vaughn is like wearing slippers all day and its style is great to wear with casual attire.

 | | Dear Zappos. First: Let me express sincere appreciation and GRATITUDE to an organization that is STILL able to understand Customer Service. My contacts with Zappos personnel were informative, exceptionally helpful, etc. The process of exchanging for a larger size went without fault. Secondly: You carry a good product line. Again, many thanks for a job well done! Respectfully, Robert G. | | ~ Robert G., September 13 2009
