I bought these sandals to replace a pair of Merrell's that had lost their support and I was experiencing hip and ankle pain when I wore them. When I first put these sandals on they were very tight, but they stretched out enough that I wore them on a trip 2 weeks after receiving them. I walked a lot on the trip and didn't have hip and ankle pain, but the sandals did rub raw spots by the toe strap and the edges of the straps. The arch support was a little too high for my foot in the beginning but it's getting better as the foot bed is compressed with more walking. These are cute sandals that provide support, but they do require a breaking in period of time.

My feet are still getting used to these shoes and I\'m still breaking them in after about 2+ weeks. I think that once these are really broken in, they will be very comfortable. I think it might just be tough getting used to a flip flop that has really good arch and foot support. As others mentioned, they get the bottom of your feet black while they are breaking in and if you have wider feet, definitely order a size above your usual. With all that being said, I feel that my arches will thank me for wearing these instead of my usual non-supportive Target flip flops.

I just received my sandals and I love the way they look and the support they give but I agree with a few of the other reviews that the straps are a little tight (especially on the right) which forces my foot back and it is just on the edge of the heel plate. I usually wear a 71/2 but bought an 8. Does anyone know if the leather strap stretches? This would help, if not I will have to send them back. They are really great sandals.

These sandals are a little bit narrow in the ball of the foot. They took my feet about 2 weeks to get used to, and have since become the only sandal I wear. The leather rubbed my foot skin and I had to wait for it to become a bit tougher. Normally I can't stand in one place for long before I get uncomfortable and my back starts to ache a little, but in these I have no problem. I wear them now when normally I would be barefoot because they're so comfortable...

My only complaint is that the footbed turns the bottom of your foot black. Based on previous reviews this is only temporary however, it has been 1 month, and I'm still scrubbing my feet at night.

These shoes are adorable! They are dressy enough to wear with capri pants and look great with shorts, too. The foot bed is extremely comfortable with outstanding arch support. I have a very high instep and could not get the strap in a place that was comfortable. I was so sad to return them.

I needed a sandal with good arch support. These fit the bill & are excellent. The shoe feels a bit narrow & I have narrow feet. Also, the foot bed is kinda slick, so as I walk my foot slides. I find myself holding on with my toes, which causes my calf to cramp. I really like the way they look & the support they give me. I just wish Chaco would make the foot bed softer, so my foot wouldn't slide.

Comfy, but...
Didn’t fit. I usually wear a size 10W, so I ordered the 10 first. They were very snug slipping on and my foot almost hung off the back making them look too small. I sent them back and ordered an 11, but they are too big! The strap is much looser and they slip around too much when walking, so I'll have to send them back. If the sizing had worked for me, I would have loved these flip flops though--they have great arch support and a footbed that is molded much like a custom orthotic.

Not my favorite, but still a good shoe.
Regardless of the fit, this is a very cute shoe that bridges the gap (quite nicely) between casual sport and fashion- a hard thing to do in a flip flop! I found the foot bed of the 10 to be a bit narrow so I exchanged it for an 11. I think a 10.5 would have been perfect. All the same, they are comfortable and sure to get a lot of wear.

Flip-flops with style...and arch support...A++++ :)
I need arch support for my right foot, I thought
I would have to wear only sneakers with inserts
all the time, and ugly sandals with arch support.
When I found Chacos, I was thrilled! I like wearing
flip-flops...now I can have my support, and style
too!!! The first week my feet needed to adjust to
the support. Will be buying another pair as soon
as I can...wish they were a little cheaper in
price...only have 1 pair right now.

Great Flip Flops!
These flipflops have barely left my feet since they have arrived. They provide excellent arch support (I have high arches) and plenty of traction (no slipping around on wet surfaces like with cheaper flip flops). The sliding strap is nice because it adjusts to the foot and holds the flip flop securely on your foot. Nice touch! They arrived quickly and were exactly as described!

Love Chacos! Bought these to replace an original black pair that I had completely worn out. Chacos are great for my feet - have plantar fasciitis and I can wear these all day, all summer long. The only criticism I have of this particular pair is the color rubs off onto the bottom of my feet when breaking them in. I have several other colors and never noticed this with them. But, it is temporary and the sandals are fine once you break them in. REALLY wish Chacos would make all season shoes - their footbeds are the best for support!

The first couple of times I wore them the strap would get caught on top of my foot, but it was no big deal. Now that I've worn them more they are like an old good friend! I love these shoes!!

PERFECTION!!
It just couldn't get any better. These are the MOST comfortable shoes I have ever walked in. Covered ALL of the Vegas Strip and my feet felt great!! Not only were the shoes great the service was GREAT also, I got the shoes in two days and the price was fantastic. I love Zappos.

The fit is right on so if you like roomy order up, but the arch support is awesome. It is just like walking barefoot in the sand! Very comfortable right out of the box. I want more!

Nice form, a little hard. I love the way they look. They are comfortable, only I have lower arches and the high arch can be painful to stand on. Walking is totally fine. The arch seems higher than my Z2s. I also have wide feet and wish the switch came in W like my Z2s. They do rub at the top of my foot, caused a little sore the first few days. But other than that, I get lots of compliments and really LOVE this shoe. I hated not having support in flip flops, and this does the trick!

Love my other Chacos, not sure about this one -
My other Chacos, the one's that are more like a regular flip-flop, are great. These have a leather sole and for some reason are hard to keep on. My toes do a lot of work trying to grip them. Kind of exhausting. They do look hip. The sole has the same great shape as the others with lots of arch support.

I love this newest brand of shoe! A friend recommended Chaco for its arch support. I visited a local outdoor sporting store to check on sizes. The size I needed was out of stock, but the salesperson said she could "special order" for me. The shoe would arrive in 2 weeks. Little did they know--I could order from ZAPPOS and have the same shoe in 1 DAY!!! And...that is exactly what I did. THANK YOU, ZAPPOS!!

Chacos are great!
Chacos really seem to know how to design a sandal that fits a foot. Good arch support and nice smooth feeling underfoot. Unique design for a basic flip-flop; cute and comfortable.

Flip flops can be good for your feet!
After reading about the dangers of wearing flip-flops all summer in the news, I decided to find a "foot friendly" pair. These Chaco’s fit the bill. They are comfortable, cushioned, have good arch support, and can be worn around town or to the beach and pool. They ran small for me- I ordered one size up which is perfect!

Love them!
I bought these because I read that they were better for your back than the normal flip flop. You can feel the difference when you put them on. And, they're cute. I've gotten lots of compliments. Only problem was sizing, they run pretty small. I typically wear a 7.5 and ended up with a 9 in these.

Disappointed -
I ordered these based on their appearance (having had no experience with the brand), but was disappointed with the fit. They felt too tight across the top of my size 6 foot. While I know Zappos would have gladly refunded my $$, I decided to let my Mom try them out...she's quite happy with them.

Another great Chaco!
Chaco’s are so comfortable and these flip flops are no exception! They are nice and casual and super comfy. I thought they were a half size smaller than the other Chaco’s.

Man oh man are these uncomfortable!
I had high hopes for these, as I've heard great things about Chacos. However, these are CRUEL shoes. The fabric is somewhat rough and lies flat and awkwardly between the toes. The leather rubs and I have had blisters wearing them around the hotel. The sole is hard and strangely-molded and just plain uncomfortable! Too expensive and completely uncomfortable.
