Feels a little bit narrow, but the leather is very soft and the sandal is very comfortable. This is my third Chaco flip and my first one that is leather. Great pair of sandals.

I bought the flips because I am so thrilled with the Chaco Hipthong (I have 2 pair). As other posters, I have plantar fasciitis (am now pain-free), and need sandals with good arch support.The leather flip does run small and tight. I ordered size 8, but had to return for size 9 (my other Chacos are size 8). My only complaint is that the toe piece is a little uncomfortable, but hopefully that will ease with wear (this is my first whole day wearing them). They are stylish, not quite as good an arch support as the hipthong, but overall I am very pleased. Plus, Zappos' lightning fast shipping can't be beat!

I wear orthotics every day to work for severe flat feet and to prevent plantar fasciitis. I've been looking for a slip-on sandal with good arch support and a firm bottom. I wear a 9.5 dress shoe and 10 with my orthotics, so I thought I would be ok with the 10. I had tried another Chaco sandal in a 10. I thought I tried them around the house enough to know that they would work, but when I wear them for very long, they just feel too tight. I think they would work well for foot support, but definitely order up a size. The top strap is too tight. I'm hoping mine will stretch over time.

After wearing relatively flat rubber flip flops for years, I finally decided to splurge. Worth every $ spent. Amazing arch support, and unlike the discomfort of walking all day in other flip flops, these stayed comfortable all day long and my feet never hurt. These do run small though and are good for narrow feet. If you have a medium width foot, I recommend you go one size up. I'm normally an 8 and they were too tight and too narrow for my med. width foot. So I got them in a 9 and they fit like a glove and were the perfect size.

Too narrow for me -
I really wanted to like these Flips, but they were just too narrow for my medium width foot and my toes kept falling off the sides. I ordered the (non-leather) Flips in the same size and they fit like a dream! I love Chaco's sandals!

Too tight, stains easily -
If you have wide feet, these are not the shoes for you. I bought them and was very disappointed. However, they are probably great for narrow feet. Also, they (I ordered light blue) had picked up stains from the packaging in the box, so presumably they will stain easily.

I love my Chacos!
I've worn Chacos for years. The leather flip is my favorite and I own several different colors. I have plantar fasciitis and the curve of the footbed has helped cure it completely. Just a note: the flips tend to run small. I typically wear an 8 and have 8s in all of my other Chaco's, but in the flips I wear a 9.

These are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn. They look great, feel great and provide my foot with plenty of support. I will never buy any other flips! Wish they came in more colors.

I've been wearing the brand Rainbows for years. I play tennis almost daily and injured my foot in a singles match. I could hardly walk the pain in my heel was so awful. The orthopedist diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis (acute). I already knew this was the case but was glad to hear he thought it was from an injury...not chronic. I changed my flip flops to Chacos because of the arch and heel support. They've been great! The doctor put me in a moon boot and orthotics, which I hardly needed to wear after purchasing the Chacos. I even wear them like bedroom slippers! I also bought another pair and now have the black and buff.

Chaco Leather Flip -
I bought this sandal because I have plantar fasciitis and needed something with good arch support. Most of my summer flip flops are perfectly flat and were killing my feet. I searched the internet for "sandals with good arch support" and found this shoe. When I read the reviews on the Zappos website, every one said, "Excellent arch support." So I bought them and they do indeed have excellent arch support. So I can still enjoy wearing sandals in the summer despite my foot problems.

I haven't worn flip flops for a long time because they're too flat. These work! I bought two colors. Yes, you do have to break in the toe piece. And the dye on the black ones does stain your feet. Hopefully that's a short-term thing. I scrubbed the footbed with water and they do seem better.

Love my Chacos - If you want the ease of wearing flip flops and slides, but need a little support, Chacos are the shoes for you. I bought my first pair of casual Chacos (non-water type) three years ago at the recommendation of a professional fitter at an outdoor store in Asheville, North Carolina. I was hooked! Not only do these Chacos look good, they are very comfortable and even after a full day of wear, my feet still feel great.

Nice shoe - feels dressier than the usual flip but still comfortable enough to walk the dog! Zappos delivery service is still amazing; I ordered 8pm and received the next day! Thanks Zappos.

Comfortable!
I just received my flip flops yesterday. I wore them for 6 hours and loved them! I have plantar fasciitis and am flat footed. The Chaco’s arch support felt great. They did leave a black mark on the top of my foot where the straps lie on the foot but it was gone this morning. I found the fit to be perfect. Perhaps if someone is a half size I would recommend the larger whole size. I also have a narrow foot and liked the snug fit. If you have a wide foot you will need to wear for a few days to stretch them out. You will love these flip flops!

Very comfortable, definitely a buy. One caution, if your feet get wet or perspire your soles will be black. I also have red ones and they did the same thing.

More Than A Flip!
This is a wonderful and cute leather flip. The only reason it did not get 5 stars for comfort is that the leather straps did require a few wearings to mold to my foot. After only a few wearings, it is my favorite flip. It's a great shoe with wonderful support; even better, believe it or not, than my Eccos and Borns, which I also love. I got these flips in blue. They were my first pair of Chacos. I'm excited since I was notified by Zappos.com that they were available in my size in the brown, so I snapped them up. Great shoe and great store!

Cute but tight -
I wanted for these shoes to work out but they were very tight on my feet and caused my feet to go crooked in the shoe (point inward on the footbed instead of going straight.) Reluctantly, I am sending these back as the buff color is a very nice neutral color.

Great Flip Flop -
I have been wearing the Reef Swing for years because of the arch support. Lately I've needed more, so after reading the reviews for this shoe, I decided to try it. I love it - I can wear it all day without any problems. All day with a lot of walking is a bit much, though. It did take a few wearings to break them in, too. My only complaint is that they're a little "athletic" looking. The Reef Swing, I think, is a better looking flip flop.

I've had 4 pairs of these. My Basenji keeps finding them and chewing them up – they are her favorite shoes! Mine too. I have to be very mindful of not leaving my shoes around with this puppy. These Chacos are a wonderful fit; I wear them for casual and work in the garden. They are stylish and dog approved for chewing. I hope this is my last pair for a while.

Great after initial break-in -
After an initial break-in period where the strap rubs the top of the foot near the big toe, this flip-flop is fantastically comfortable and supportive (hard to find)!!! Could be a little longer in the heel area, but wonderful overall.

Comfy and classy -
These sandals are very comfortable after a three-day breaking in time (the little toe piece was a bit stiff at first) and they look very classy. The arch support feels great, they're a lot better than the flat floppy flips.

Better than I had hoped -
These are the best flip flops ever! I love flip flops but have been unable to wear them recently because I needed the arch support. These flips were the answer. Great support - Others mentioned they ran small so I went up in size and they are perfect. They do stretch and relax with wearing though, so if they are a little tight at first just wear them for a few days and they will stretch out. I just came back from a long weekend trip (lots of walking) and I wore them constantly. I would definitely buy another pair.

Break in your Chaco's first and you'll love them -
A friend recommended Chaco's because I needed to find a flip flop that had good arch support b/c of some hip problems. I put them on the minute they came and yikes - they were not the greatest flip flops ever, as my friend had said they were. But I read a few reviews on them and talked to her and suffered through the first two weeks to break them in. Am I glad I did! These things are awesome! I bought a pair of Reefs and they are going back, to be replaced by a second pair of Chaco's. Goodbye Reefs.
