Although I've only just received these Softwalks, the fit and feel are amazing for someone who has had a lifetime struggle finding narrow casual shoes. Dress shoes, no problem, thank heaven for Cole Haan and Stuart Weitzman, but casual shoes have always been a compromise; I'm delighted to find a brand that will hopefully become a mainstay. (I tried some Clarks shoes at the same time, but they were just a bit too wide.) I am worried about the slickness of the soles so I'll have to be cautious on linoleum and carpet at work. Also, I'd be willing to pay more for real leather lining. Finally, Zappos staff have been terrific!

Wow! I really love this pair of shoes, just a little funky great with a pair of jeans and they fit very well. Comfortable and well constructed. I think these might be my favorite purchase from Zappos. I would recommend them to everyone, and of course the service at Zappos can't be beat.

As others have mentioned, the top of the toe box can feel a bit tight, but I\'ve noticed that as I wear the shoes, the egg-crate compresses just enough for that to resolve, and the shoe is very comfortable.

This pair is very comfortable. I am on my feet 12 hrs and more, great stuff. Actually, I have ordered quite a few pairs from Zappos and all of them have been really good! Happy with all my purchases. More power to you guys and efficient shipping!

Amazing insoles, but the colors on the heel completely clashed with the color of the upper. Not an attractive shoe. The soles of the shoe were also very slick on carpet.

When my sister-in-law invited me to visit New York City with her, I knew I needed to have a pair of good walking shoes. Naturally I turned to Zappos! The SoftWalk Montclaire lived up to its name and description. We walked all over the City and my feet never felt any pain. The inner soles massaged the feet at every step and the heel height is exactly correct for a good walking gait.

These are very cute shoes. There are bulky but work with pants or for a funky look with skirts and tights. The only downside is that they run a bit big, and my feet slide around in them due to the slick interior. I am going to add insoles, and then I think they will be perfect!

This is a very comfortable shoe. Normally, I wear a wide width, but with this shoe I needed to order a medium width and one half size smaller than I usually wear. And as always, Zappos provided their outstanding customer service in the form of very fast shipping.

I get compliments every time I wear these. I have the dark brown patent leather. The shoes are a little snug around the sides, but otherwise very comfortable. Highly recommend them!

Love this shoe! It's so comfortable, excellent arch support. I think it's cute! Have been looking for a pair of blue shoes I could wear with jeans or business slacks. These fit the bill.

Mmmm, love these shoes. I'm a hairdresser, an extensions specialist and loctician, my feet get an intense workout every time I work, 3-5 days a week. I really enjoy the support in the heel when I'm shampooing or rinsing, as well as the ball of my foot when I'm standing in one place for hours on end. My arches stay well cared for, too. I can wear these with mid weight sock or tights. They go great with all my attire. You can walk a couple miles after work in them, like when you are meeting friends at an event. Yes, after a day like that, my feet are sore and anyone's would be, but these shoes allow me to push the average limit without too much punishment. For me, they work harder then other varieties I've had; for the average shoe wearer they will be a dream.

Finally! A career shoe that fits! I have a very wide foot and nothing ever fits me right. Wearing nice shoes for the workplace or a special event is nearly impossible for me as a plus sized girl. I took a chance on these Mary Janes, intending to send them back the next day. I was shocked almost into near tears upon trying them on! They are so comfy and are wide enough for my fat feet. I did select the wide width size, but am used to trying on Wides at Payless, which doesn't seem to mean a thing when it comes to fit. I have only worn them around the house for now and my only complaint is they seem a bit slippery, but maybe that's because they're new. So comfy!

Extremely comfortable shoe. I'm a physician on my feet all day and find the Montclaire even more comfortable than Danskos. The Montclaire sole is much softer than the Dansko sole. I also think the Montclaire is slightly more attractive (at least in the black patent). That being said, I would only wear them with full/flare leg trouser that cover the top of the shoe. The shoe also gives you a few inches of height without feeling like a high heel at all. I agree with the other negative comments that the shoe makes a noisy clunking sound when walking on hard surfaces and there is a little breaking in time with the top of the shoe.

Love these shoes! They're clunky in a hip sort of way and they are extremely comfortable with wonderful cushy but supportive soles. Best with pants, jeans, or a funky skirt.

Very comfortable! These shoes are very comfortable and true to size. They did rub the outside of my foot a little because of the patent leather but after about 2 uses that subsided. I think the tumbled leather would be even more comfortable but they did not have my size.

When sitting at a desk with only limited standing time, these shoes are great. When standing at a Cash Register for 3 or more hours my feet were only marginally sore compared to my other shoes. These aren't the best shoes for standing in for long periods of time, but they look great and they are comfortable to walk in.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I own! Even more comfortable than my sneakers. I have walked miles in these shoes (at one time) and they are wonderful. It is great to have attractive shoes with a heel that are comfortable. The only thing is the size seemed a bit big. I have had these shoes for a while now and they are holding up well. Great casual shoe!

These may be good for narrow feet, but for regular feet, they are too tight. The cushioning in the soles is so puffy, it pushes your feet up and into the edge so that the seam hits just behind and above the ball of your foot.\r\n\r\nOnline, I thought these looked a little dressier than my Dankso clogs, but in person, they look too matronly to wear with anything other than long pants.

I like the Softwalk Montclaire in plain black leather. I did not like it in the patent leather. The same size fit differently. The plain leather one is pretty comfortable while the patent, for me, fit too tightly with the top strap pressing down too hard.

Great shoe for someone who is on their feet all day. The shoe does run a bit large, order 1/2 size smaller. There is a little break in time, but not enough to be uncomfortable for long. I wear these shoes for up to 10-12 hours at a time and my feet and legs never hurt! Would buy these again.

Luxury in a clog/mary jane hybrid -
These are beautifully made shoes and are worth every penny. Dressier and sleeker than Dansko and other clogs with a footbed that is pure joy to step into. One of the few tailored shoes that come in width variety - and even the WW do not look like they were made for Herman Munster. Very chic. RECOMMENDED!!!

These shoes are so awesome I did not even need my orthotics. Shoes are impossible for me to find, but these are wide & sorta stretchy so they come on and off. Scale of 1-10, 10! I’m doing all my shoe shopping at zappos from now on.

The insole is incredibly comfortable. I was sincerely impressed the very first time I put them on. Once I wore them without socks (my mistake) and by the end of the day my feet didn’t feel as good as when I wore them with trouser socks. Aside from that, I really do like these shoes.

I bought these shoes a couple of months ago and they are great. They fit true to size and look great with a dress. The comfort is perfect for tired feet that need to walk a lot. Shopping, working, pioneering, whatever you do you'll enjoy them.
