Very versatile, useful bag. Well made, high quality.
I've had this bag for a couple weeks now. I find it to be very well made and a joy to use. I have used it in both configurations as a shoulder bag and backpack. It works well in both modes, though I prefer to use it as a backpack. It seems to hold quite a bit of stuff. The area for the laptop is safe, well-padded, and the corduroy lining protects the gear from scuffs and scratches. Changing the bag from a backpack to shoulder bag is easy and quick; it only takes a few minutes. The backpack straps stow away easily and the shoulder strap can be put inside the same place that the pack straps hide in. It has three different areas for putting your stuff. I use it for work and can carry manilla folders inside it along with pens, keys, etc. It also has a small pocket on the side for a can of soda or other small water bottle of similar size. The construction appears to be solid and thorough. It's one of those bags that seems like they designed it while using it. Sometimes you buy bags and it's as if no one tried it out before they finalized the design. But, this one seems well thought-out. I'm very happy with the purchase. It probably doesn't carry as much stuff as one of the messenger bags, but if you want a bag that can switch off and look professional in shoulder bag mode but can also be used as a backpack to carry for longer periods of time, then this is it. I think you'll enjoy this bag. It might be expensive, but I think it's worth it.

It's smaller then I thought it would be (which is good). I was afraid it was going to be a bomb-bastic looking bag. But it has a nice, slim profile. It fits my 15.4" wide laptop and 1 1/2"-ring binder comfortably.
The shoulder strap isn't anything to write home about comfort-wise, but it does have a pull-latch so it's adjustable on-the-fly length-wise. The backpack straps and latches hide-away nicely when not in use. I wish it was more accessible from the outside, but at least I know nothing will probably ever get wet inside in bad weather.

Nice looking bag. Good for air travel -
I bought this bag for a trip to Europe and it did the trick. The computer compartment is nicely padded, which was my most important concern. The only downside is the lack of easy access to the interior without unclasping both clasps, but it's minor.

I have mixed feelings about this bag . . .
I originally bought this because I needed a new bag for grad school that could carry both books and a laptop. I generally shy away from "messenger bags" because they are uncomfortable and hurt my shoulders and/or back . . . that's why I thought this bag would be perfect: the look of a messenger bag that also functions as a book bag.
Well, I've been kind of disappointed. I can't really use it as a messenger bag at all because of the awkward shape and the shoulder straps for the book bag are really uncomfortable. The quality is no doubt top notch, but its functionality is poor.
My advice: get a book bag OR a messenger bag . . . this product tries to incorporate both, but both functions ultimately fail.

 | | Thank you for such great service!! I am blown away by the fact that I asked for regular shipping and was upgraded for free to overnight! I know that you won't do it every time, but what a first impression for my first order. Thanks again, I will certainly order again and I have told at least a dozen people about your site and service.
