Great Shoe - Will Order Again -
Compared the Kayanos to a pair of NB 1223s. 1223s are more of a Motion Control shoe. Plus, they hardly have any upper top toe support. Gives it a very spongy feel when you pick up your feet. Loved the Kayanos. Perfect for mild overpronation. Will definitely order again after these are done.

The shoes feel great on my feet and provide the most comfortable feel in a running shoe. This is my second pair of Asics Gel Kayano and I love them; will never buy a different style of running shoe.

Will be running sneakers going forward -
Have always used Asics 2120, 2130 after finding that Asics sneakers are the right shoes for me. However, putting on these shoes for the first time it fits and feels better than the 21 series. May be a little more money but for your health down the line - priceless.

Heavy old guy 200# 35 year runner with sore feet. What great shoes. No heavy legs and feet feel better. I bought a half size larger.

Kayano 13 -
Not nearly as well fitting at the previous Kayano's I have owned. The IX, X and XII that I owned wore much better as well as fit better. I do not get the overall support that I have from the previous models as well. I do a lot of hill running and do not get the support I desire.

Fabulous shoe!
I love these shoes. I wear them for every day use as well as exercise.
Before I bought these, I was having a lot of trouble finding shoes that were wide enough in the toe area. I was told to try a men's shoe even though I am a woman. I love them and now I do not need to wear orthotics.

No good -
Well I normally wear the Asics Gel Trainers DS, but I decided to make a change. I bought these shoes because I wanted to add a little weight to my training shoes. I started to run with these and after a while they got so heavy and I was stomping so loud and hard. My arches on my feet felt like they were falling. The only thing that I hate about these shoes is they are so heavy.

I order these for a late Xmas gift. Due to the size they are hard to find. Above all these are the best shoes on the market. Comfort and fit and durability. Zappos once again came through. Will not order anywhere else online. AAAA+++++

I liked the Kayano 12 -
I am on my 3rd generation of the Kayanos and I don't like the 13 as much as the 12. I recently bought a new 12 and confirmed that the 13 did not fit as well. There was too much movement in the heel.

The Best -
This is a great shoe. I switched from Nike Shox to a pair these and there is no way that I am going back. I am a moderate over pronator so this shoe is perfect. I have not had any quality problems. I probably have about 1000 to 1500 miles on mine so I think I am going to get the 14s when they come out.

Wanted best shock absorbing running shoe to reduce impact on joints. Needed wide width, stability shoe. Tried on several but judged this gel heel better than same class Brooks or New Balance (both PU foams) for lowering impact. Also has slightly better arch support than New Balance. Found the colors and use of "shiny" metallic stripes a bit cheesy but these are serious runners not fashion statements so no big deal. Biomorphic fit and support are excellent.

My second pair of gel-kayanos, and another good pair. The heal feels a little lose for now, but I think once I break it in it will be good - I think the heal might have a lot more padding than I am used to. I have pretty narrow feet and the shoes feel fine for that. I have only run on them a few times but they feel great so far - they rock well into each step, have great stability, and breathe well.

Anomaly?
I have owned 4 pairs of the Kayano Gel Series, including two of the current 13 model. I really loved this shoe yet for some reason this particular pair does not seem as comfortable as the last - - the support does not hit my foot in the same place. Also, after less than two weeks the treads are starting to separate. Maybe Asics changed sub-contracting factories or QC has gone down. I am disappointed.

Big disappointment -
I bought this shoe because I have worn Gel-Kayano's for several years and loved them. NOT this one!! I can’t return them because I threw out the box since I trusted Asics to continue to improve this model, or they would be returned.
Leg cramps after 20 minutes on treadmill. Switched back to my old Kayanos and no problem. The shoe feels skimpy and cheap.

Asics Gel -
These shoes are well worth the money! They are comfortable and great for walking and running. I have flat and wide feet and for years I have had problems finding a shoe that fits me properly. I finally found a shoe that doesn’t feel or look wide. They have a wide toe box so your toes don’t feel crunched at the bottom when you walk.

CONVERTED FROM NB TO ASICS... GREAT SHOES!
I used to only buy New Balance but my last four pairs of shoes have been Asics and I will never go back. Asics give great arch support and are very stable on uneven surfaces. My feet are so appreciative of my recent convert.

Not what I thought they would be -
I had been running in the line a step below these and thought I would amp it up for the marathon I am training for and I am very disappointed. They have given me massive shin splints and I wish I could go back to me older style. They are really light weight and I think I would dig them if they didn't make my shins scream. Since you can't tell this thing by trying out your shoes on carpet, I’m a bit stuck with these.

On my third pair -
I jog/run 2-3 times a week, nothing too ambitious, 8 1/2 mins/mile on my best day, 4-6 miles a run - maximum distances I've run 17 miles. I replace the shoes every 6-9 months. I can run in these shoes the day they arrive without fear of blisters or discomfort. Besides the comfortable cushion they provide, the best feature is the sizing - they are comfortable with feeling tight and that’s important since your feet swell during the run.
