Good deal -
Fits good, feels good, overall a very good boot. Zappos return policy is great, had a different boot that I could not fit and they exchanged without question to this boot. Great company!

Good looking boot -
Had the boots for two months and they never really fit right. The heel cup area is wide, allows too much movement of the heel. Toe box is narrow. The boots held up really great except for a small area where the tread was separating from the boot. Returned the boots due to the defect of the tread.

Great backpacking boot! Viva Scarpa!
I went with Scarpa boots after using a pair of their climbing shoes and loving them. I just got back from a 10 day/+40lb backpacking trip and I have to say I love these too. The toe box is generous, the sizing was spot on (I wear 9.5 and these are 42), the sole is well lugged yet great for edging on short climbs, the liner keeps your feet bone dry, and the tensioning system holds your heel super secure. I was the first to put my boots on in the morning and the last to take them off at night.

Quality boot -
I bought these based on the review by Backpacker magazine. I couldn't decide between this boot or a few other brands that were more expensive, I was not disappointed. They are slightly more green than they look in the picture but they still look good. I have a narrow heel and basically every boot or shoe I have ever owned has given me blisters the first few times I wear them, this is the first pair of boots/shoes that did not. I have not had the opportunity to take them for a real test as I am still breaking them in. They feel like they will break-in fairly quickly and already feel like they are forming to my feet.

Comfort, Italian Quality, Good Looks -
I got a pair of these since I had a pair of Triolets, SL-3s, and Charmox. Scarpa is one of if not the best hiking boots that come out of Italy. I also have models from La Sportiva, Zamberlan, Asolo, Gronell, Lowa, Garmont, Aku, and Kayland and they are all in the top tier of Hiking/Trekking boots that come from Italy or nearby that part of Europe w/ the Asolos from Romania.

 | | My first experience with Zappos.com was during the winter a few years ago when I needed a pair of silver sandals to wear during the holidays. I saw Zappos.com advertised at the airport and thought to see what they were about. The rest is history. During that search for sandals I had as many as nine pairs here to try. They came the day after I ordered them via FedEx and those I didn't choose (I ended up with two pairs) I put back in the box, taped it shut, attached the prepared return label they had enclosed with the shipment, and dropped them off at the packaging store that same day. They were gone almost as easily as walking away from a pile of tried on rejects in the department store! Since then I use them more than 70% of the time when I am shoe shopping. There really isn't anything quite like trying on shoes with the clothes in my closet as well as trying for fit and comfort. It's an ideal way to buy shoes and I highly recommend it! There isn't another web shopping site anywhere that makes it any easier! | | ~ Fran C, September 13 2009
