NB WW 844 is the best!
I've been a fan of the NB WW 844 for several years (the 844 was preceded by 843 & 842). Although a bit pricey, the 844 is worth every cent. I have had other NB models but I feel the 844 is their best. The toe has extra room which allows my bunion to be undisturbed, and it's extremely well cushioned. I buy 2 pairs a year -- really love them!

Wonderful shoes, service and price!
These shoes are amazingly comfortable and well constructed. I ordered this pair to replace my originals that lasted through nearly 8 years of 12-hr shifts in a busy ER. Not having to think about my feet is very important and these shoes are "invisible" from day one. I use Zappos for all my shoe shopping; without a doubt they provide the most efficient, expedient and worry free customer service of any business I've ever dealt with. Returns and exchanges are handled with the same attention as new sales and they are fast! Great shoes, great service...what more can you ask for?

844s are the new 843s. Somewhat less cushion than in the 843s and a bit wider in appearance (i.e. clumsier looking). Otherwise quite comfortable.

THE SHOE for serious walking -
I had worn out my 843's, and wanted a new model to walk in Disney World. It surely lived up to my expectations! Both models ran 1/2 size short, so 1/2 size up fits perfectly. I am a narrow, and this shoe fits the bill. I will stay in this shoe for all of my serious walking ventures. I appreciate them making the 844 more attractive than the 843, and hope they continue this trend with new models.

A pleasure to walk in -
Having had a recent heel stress fracture and plantar fasciitis I have tried many walking shoes without much success until I found the New Balance 844. It is very comfortable with a roomy toe area without being too wide and the arch support seems to be in the right place for my foot-many brands seemed to be too close to the heel. Will buy again.

Great New Balance walking shoe -
I ordered the NB WW844 two days before my husband and I were walking in a 10K event. Thanks to Zappos, they arrived just in time. Despite being brand new with no breaking in time, they were perfectly comfortable and a great fit. I need a shoe with a wide toe box and a narrow heel which is hard to find, but these are just right. My husband said they look a little like short boats, but who cares? They feel great! I got them in white and they don’t have much other color, just a little blue.

An old friend -
I have worn-out several pairs of these over the years. They are my preferred walking shoe for keeping my huskies in shape. I have learned that New Balance tends to run a tad small, so I order up a half size. This pair is D width, but I probably could have been OK with B. Excellent arch support and padding around the ankles.

New Balance Higher Number Shoes -
I have been treating for shin splints for a couple months and these shoes are the perfect combination of cushiness and stability. They allow room for my orthotics as well.

I have had plantar fasciitis and have put in an additional NB insole. Works great!! I would recommend this tried and true walker.

Good from the beginning -
I have purchased these exact shoes at a New Balance store so I was familiar with the style. I walk a lot and these are so cushy and comfy, right from the beginning. As long as this shoe is available, it is my walking shoe of choice. As to looks, it's a utilitarian shoe- looks like any other athletic shoe.

I ordered the WW844. I also ordered the #792, as the #791 wasn't available. As it turns out the 844 was a lot more comfortable for me. It has good cushioning and with high arches and a history of plantar fasciitis, this is important. I ordered a half size larger.

I walk approx. 3 miles every day. Outside most of the time but inside at the mall when it is snowy or icy. This is my favorite walking shoe. I also use it for just shopping and doing errands.

Have gotten used to ordering the NB shoes 1/2 size larger than I normally take. Shoe is nicely cushioned with room in toe box to wiggle toes. Sales person on phone was extremely helpful and expedited shipment so I could have it for a school trip where we do massive amounts of walking.

My New Balance WW844, are just great. The fit for my narrow feet,11n is just right. I was able to walk around all day at Disney World and did not have any feet pain, toe problems. Very pleased with the shoes.

I recently had foot surgery and had to wear a good walking shoe for months afterwards, this one worked great!

This shoe is very comfortable. It is lightweight and my feet do not get too warm or sweat - even after a long day. There is plenty of cushion in the heel when walking. My first pair was the 843 and I have worn them through all weather - even snow - for the last few years and they are still in really good shape. Great shoe!!

I love this shoe so much that I purchased 2 pairs. The shoe is very comfortable; it is a great walking shoe! My toes have room to spread out and at the same time I have tremendous support for my arch, heel and ankle. I definitely recommend this shoe for anyone with wide feet. I did have to order a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear.

 |  | Last evening I ordered some Sperry Top-Siders that I will need by next weekend. Everyone else I looked at would push my delivery date out to the end of next week, for a price that made me uncomfortable. I received an email during the night (I'm up at 3 am) that said my delivery method had been updated from a 3 business day order to "special priority processing." I also received an email saying that shipping had happened already at some earlier hour of the night. Now, I am totally blown away by the fact that I have already received the shoes...at 2:50pm this afternoon! I cannot thank you enough for this service and making me feel like my business was your most important of the day (or night?). Of course, I will recommend Zappos.com to anyone near me.
