Not great. I've owned a pair of Borns before, and they were comfortable for walking a lot, so I thought these would be as well. These shoes are like women's shoes (and I can say that as I'm a woman!). You can practically feel every pebble on the ground while walking. Not what I wanted. They are cute though, although a bit overly casual for dress pants.

These shoes are great. They were comfortable from day one, and they look great. I bought them to go with jeans and a button-down shirt. I love the styling of these shoes.\r\n\r\nThe only criticisms I have with them are that the laces wore out very quickly. I wish Born had included another pair of laces or sturdier ones. Also, these shoes are terrible to wear in cold weather. The leather is not very thick, and cold travels right through the soles.\r\n\r\nI strongly suggest applying several layers of weather-guard to them. I only sprayed them once, and after a rainy day the leather was badly stained.\r\n\r\nI highly recommend these for people who want a casual look but want to avoid sneakers. Very classy. I will definitely be buying another pair in the future.

This is an extremely comfortable shoe for its type/classification. I have owned these shoes for roughly a year and I still look forward to wearing them. The only Con that I can think of is the style is a little less formal than I expected. The shoes look great with a pair of kakis or jeans. However, they look a little out of place with Dress Chinos which keeps them in my closet a few days of the week. Overall the comfort aspect far outweighs the slight disappointment in appearance.

I normally wear a size 14 although a 13 1/2 would be perfect. I previously bought a pair of Born in size 14 and wore them for several months but they looked like clown shoes because they actually turned up at the toe because they were too big. I then decided to try a 13 in a different style as my original style was no longer available and they fit perfectly. They are the only shoes I've owned in the last 30 years or so that I can wear all day without pain in my bad feet. They are great shoes.

On behalf of my husband who can only be bothered to try on the shoes that show up in the Zappos boxes... Borns are usually a solid brand. These are no exception. They pair well with the dressier side of business wear, while retaining all the desirable attributes typical of the brand: light, profoundly comfortable, and such. He hasn't had them more than a few weeks, so I cannot speak to their longevity. But, they've made it into the heavy work week rotation, so that's a positive indicator.

Great looking shoe and very comfortable all day. I would recommend this sharp looking, yet classic shoe to anyone that is looking for something on the dressy side of style, but also true comfort. The Born line of shoe size does seem to run 1/2 size larger than marked.

Very Pleased.
With dress shoes I typically destroy my feet for a couple weeks. This was NOT the case with the Linden. I wore it to a conference out of the box. By the end of the first day I had a little bit of a sore on my foot, but it never became a blister. The shoes are just real comfy and require little to no break in period (though I would not recommend high levels of activity to start with). As for sizing, I ordered my size 8 1/2 and returned it for a lower size 8. However, I like my toes to go to the end of the shoe without a lot of space. So take that into consideration. Shipping was fast - Zappos is pretty fantastic.

Awesome shoe - still great after a year of heavy wear -
Great fitting and looking shoe, has lasted an entire year of wearing them 2-4 times per week to work. For whatever reason I prefer these with khakis and chinos, but not with dress pants… but that's just me. Great comfort and looks, lightweight shoe that's held up very well. Still looks great and will last me another year for sure!

These are the perfect shoes for almost all occasions.
My old boss recommended Born to me. It is rather tricky to find a pair in stores. I found a pair of Lindens at a Dillard's and I was in love. They only had the Charcoal colored Linden, but I wanted the Cigar. Zappos came through with a cheaper price. They aren't as dark as the picture makes it seem. They are a nice brown, toward the darker side, but not as close to the dark chocolate color I've seen in pictures. Nike's Banger shoes fit me in 13 perfectly, these fit me perfectly in 12. I would say 12 is a better estimate of my size. They are the only two shoes to ever fit me properly. I love these shoes. Everyone thinks they look amazing, dressy or casual.

Very nice.
I found that the shoe initially felt tight, but after one day of wear they felt perfect. Absolutely the shortest break in ever. Very comfortable.

Nice and wide, very durable, super comfortable... these are a nice alternative for those of us who need to get dressed, but still want to be comfortable.

Great Style and Fit, WOW!
Born shoes are truly a wonderful fit and style. With one pair already in my closet that took the crown as most comfortable, I have been in need of a nice black shoe that I could use that looked the part for both work and semi-casual events. I suppose, to no surprise, they fit the bill and are a great shoe in both look and comfort.

Good shoe. Born’s tend to fit my feet exceptionally well. Very comfortable. I bought the cigar color first and ordered the nutmeg as well. Lots of room in the toe box. Moderate support. The smooth leather of the cigar color takes boot grease well and waterproofs nicely.

Not as happy as hoped -
When I first put them on, they felt great. However, after wearing for just a few days, the support started to drop making the sides dig in to my ankle. The left shoe didn't settle evenly and started to impact my step.

My first pair of Born shoes, and I'm quite pleased with the quality and fit. I've already ordered another pair (different style). If the shoes hold up well--and I think they will--Born will be one of my favorite brands. Of course, Zappos service was fantastic.

 |  | Thank you! I have a grandson whose birthday is November 11th and this will make him a very happy boy! Yes, he does wear size 7 in mens and is only 8 years old. I live in Texas, and with his order going to Michigan, he has to deal with much colder weather, he has a greater need for his comfort in their colder weather. I will be ordering from you for all his clothing needs, but have to confirm, I have a son-in-law who wears size 15 to 15 1/2. I will be shopping for him as well as my daughter who wears women's size 8.
