Best boots ever -
I live in NYC and I walk everywhere. I wear my Frye boots a lot, and they are great, but they're not dressy. These are just as comfy and a lot sexier. The braided detail is feminine, the heel is updated, and they look great with short skirts and sweater dresses. I walked 40 blocks in them the first day out. They are TOTALLY worth the money. Also, I have wide feet and calves and they fit great.

So soft, but tight in the calf -
I bought these based on the reviews for the shoe being comfy...and it would have been, but it was pretty tight in my right calf. These definitely feel like they would be comfortable to wear all day, but not for the big-calf sisters.

Marvelously comfortable and pretty!
Based on other reviewers' comments (thanks, everyone!), I ordered this in my regular 'comfy-walking-shoe' size of 9.5, not my 'dressy-shoe-size' of 9, and was thrilled with the fit and the comfort. A lightweight sock provides a perfect fit for me. The boot has a lovely soft leather shaft, and the only thing I might change is to be able to shrink the top a tiny bit (my "resting calf" measurement is 14.5", and "standing heeled calf" is 15"), but I've chosen these out of several other boots - Clarks Rhodes, Nine West Earnest, Ros Hommerson Hart - for an upcoming two-week trip to the UK, and I'm sure I'll be a happy traveler!

Stylish and comfortable -
For the longest time I was looking for the "perfect" black pair of boots and now I have found them. The shaft length is just right, the leather is very soft, the stitching on the back is a beautiful detail, but most of all they are very, very comfortable. I've worn them all day running around NY and have gotten many compliments. My only criticism is that the ankle is a little large, so I have to wear a thick sock.

This is a sexy boot that reaches up to a couple inches below the knee (I'm 5'10) and is loose enough in the calf for me to tuck my skinny jeans into. Fairly comfortable considering the heel height -- I'm a college student, and I can walk across campus in these without too much pain. Also, they keep my feet warm and dry.

Excellent boot! Unbelievably comfortable for the stylish look of the boot. They are beautiful boots, but also wearable. Soft, padded footbed and flexible sole. My husband bought these for me and when I first saw them, I thought "this boot is going to be uncomfortable like all sexy, good looking boots" - I was so wrong. I *heart* these boots!
I've been a big fan of Sofft for the last few years. When I found this boot I was VERY excited and ordered it straight away. Unfortunately when I measured my calf I did so with my foot flat, not thinking about what would happen with a 3-inch heel. Turns out my calves are too big!! Took them to a local cobbler, who can't stretch them due to the so cute seaming detail along the back of the boot. However, I can say that they were very comfortable (I wore them around my house for 3 hours after my 10-hour workday...zipped only halfway up). But overall, a beautiful boot well made of quality leather. Wish it came in wide shaft!!

Attractive and comfortable to boot!!
I ordered these boots just before going on a trip from Atlanta to Lake Tahoe for a week. I wore them during both travel days and was very comfortable. The heel is attractive but not too high. I would recommend them to anyone.

Really Comfortable -
I have an extremely wide foot but a thinner calf. This boot fit both, it was a definite keeper from the moment I put it on. It is true to wide width. The only change I would make would be to make the calf slightly smaller the arch support better, but it's not bad. Worth every penny.

Good looks & comfort - mostly -
Very nice looking boot and very comfortable. I wear a 9 but picked up a 9.5 - makes them more comfortable to wear for a long period. Only problem, if your calf measures larger than 16" they're going to be snug; 16.5" and they are too snug. They won't stretch enough to accommodate more. I would kill to find a company that produced good quality FASHIONALBE boots for women with larger calves without looking like rain galoshes. I want HEELS.

These are the most comfortable high-heeled boots I've ever worn -- instantly comfortable and they look great. They run on the large size -- comfortably wide too.

Love these boots!!
I normally wear between a 9 or 10 wide (when I can find wide) depending on style and brand. I got these in a 9 1/2 wide, and they are a perfect fit. I love the style, and the heel has rubber bottom so there is no slipping or loud clacking noise when you walk.
They actually don't make my feet look big. Very comfortable, even with the high heel. I am so happy I decided on these boots. I got the brown and they are more like a dark chocolate color, not a milk chocolate color. The calves are a little big, but my calves are kind of small and I do have the same problem with most boots. Hope this helps.

I wear them a lot -
I do a fair amount of walking in NYC and these boots feel great. I have terrible achy, bunion feet and I can always get through the work day. They nice when I put them on and did not really need "breaking in". They are great for work and I wear them with skirts all the time.

Great Boot!
I had bunion surgery last year and this is the first heeled boot I've worn since. I've worn them for more than a 12-hour day with no problems. I thought they felt very true to size.

Love these boots!
I've been looking for a nice boot for awhile now that looks great and that fits comfortably, too. I have wide feet so none of the new styles ever fit in a way that would allow for me to wear them for more than a couple of hours. But these fit great! The cushioning, width, and heel height is perfect; and I can actually wear these ones all day!

Great boots!
They are very comfortable and nice looking. My only complaint is that the heel has already started to get chipped, so I will have to replace them at the end of winter. Still, they were worth the expense!

Just received these today and I could not be happier. These boots are beautiful, the leather is soft, color is great and the detail up the back makes them stand out. They are super comfortable and very cute on. They are a bit loose on my calves, but it's okay with me because my jeans fit comfortably tucked in. So glad I found them!

Another great shoe from Sofft. I didn't imagine that boots can be this comfortable. I don't have big calves and they were a little loose, but the foot is so comfortable that it is worth it. As usual, the buying experience from Zappos was superior.

These boots are so cute and seem like they would be very sexy. The fit was comfortable. However, this boot is definitely for people with wide calves. I have standard size calves and these boots were flopping around on my ankles and legs. I would have put up with it because they were comfortable and cute, but there was so much excess room that just walking around the house in them felt a little weird on my calves.

Love these boots -
They fit great and the leather is so soft and nice, they feel broken in right from the start. I work on my feet and wore them comfortably for about 5 hours, but then the height of the heel became a little sore. There is enough room for a wide foot and a high heel and... so cute.
