I love Sofft shoes and have many pairs, so thought I'd try this ballerina flat. I've never been able to find one that is comfortable. As someone with a high arch, flats like this always hurt my foot in the toe area. But not these. They are actually comfortable to wear and cute as a button too. I got the red color, which is a deep burgundy that will look smashing this fall.

I bought these and they were smaller than I expected. They're very cute, but be sure to order them at least a half size bigger than you expect.

My feet got eat!
I so love these shoes and they go perfectly with this awesome brown dress I recently bought... However, these are the most painful pair of shoes I think I have ever worn. I was so disappointed because I wanted them to be perfect. I have wide feet, but I have good luck with a W in general. These shoes were so unbelievably narrow. I wore them out clubbing for my birthday, and (despite having a few drinks, ha!) my feet were killing me so badly that it kind of put a damper on the evening. My toes felt like they had been crushed. As others have mentioned, the arch support is in a strange place and felt uncomfortable. The heels are extremely stiff and I had enormous blisters on the back of my heels by the end of the night. It took six weeks for the blisters to fully heel, that's how deep they rubbed. For what it's worth, I wear an 8 or 8.5 in shoes. So, to get a size 10 is something I've never done. These shoes are just so cute; I want to make it work!

Leather heel cup was very uncomfortable and felt like it would eventually cause blisters. The shoe did not look great, kind of matronly (I'm 26 with horrible feet). They were very casual looking and the arch support was sufficient, although not great.

Great basic black flat/low heel!
I really like that there is a lot of extra cushioning in the bottom of this shoe & it didn't cut into the back of my heel (& require heel inserts) which is the case for me with most ballet flat type shoes I try. The front part did rub the top of my foot a bit the first 1-2 times I wore it, but that went away. I love the patent leather stitching up the back, makes it a bit edgy. I have a size 8.5 wide-ish foot, so I ordered a 9 (M) & it fit fine.

Comfortable yet dressy enough for work -
This is a cute patent leather throwback without being a childish Mary Jane-ish shoe. I wear it with suits on days when I don't feel like struggling with uncomfortable heels. Your feet need some downtime, and these will give them the vacation they need.

Cute, but...
I got the red ones... it's a great, old-fashioned dark bing-cherry kind of red, and the color really comes alive in the sunlight. I got the 9 narrows, but actually found the narrow size to be larger than even a normal width shoe (I've never had a pair of Sofft’s before these, so I'm not sure how they usually fit)! However, I decided to keep them anyway, determined to make them work, all because of that beautiful dark red color. After a day of walking in them, and I have never experienced this with any other shoe, I had no blisters but my toes (as well as the ball of my foot) were positively aching as if I'd been lifting weights with my toes all day, and it made the last block home feel like I was running the 26th mile. It was a weird feeling, because I hadn't noticed that I was holding my toes any differently than usual throughout the day. Anyhow, I sadly gave them up to my little sister, who has slightly wider feet. No toe-cleavage with this shoe, by the way, and I have long toes too. I'm not a fan of that toe cleavage stuff... it's like having five little butt cracks hanging out, no matter how narrow and beautiful your feet are.

I ordered a 9 medium, but they were just too snug, so sent them back and got a 9.5 medium instead (I've never worn a 9.5 before). Still a bit snug across the toe, but not enough to be uncomfortable and I'm assuming they will stretch a bit as I break them in.
And yes, the arch support is inexplicably set too far forward in the shoe (I only really noticed it on the right shoe, but it was like that in both pairs that I tried on). It's not necessarily uncomfortable, but it does feel like you've got something bunched up under the ball of your foot, so I'd say it's annoying more than anything. Honestly, this shoe is just so cute that I'm willing to deal with the annoying arch support placement (I'm hoping that it'll smoosh down a bit as I break them in and will be less annoying).

Actually not so soft...
The cushioning on the soles of this shoe is great. It will make you wonder what other shoe manufacturers are thinking. But, the patent leather lace-up detail on the heel is so stiff. I took a 20 minute each way, round trip stroll 6 days ago and I still have serious cuts on the back of my heel - I am still wearing shoes without backs! When I heal, I am going to insert pads on the heel - it’s too late to return them. But they are adorably simple.

Ouch!
These looked so cute and had great reviews, so I thought I would try them. I ordered 1/2 size up and a wide width, but they were painful the moment I put them on. Sorry, but these do not live up to the other Sofft shoes I own.

Disappointingly uncomfortable -
I bought these because they looked like a very versatile dress flat. I wear a size 12, medium to narrow depending on style. This shoe felt true to size, but the arch support is in the wrong place for my foot. It feels like it is too close to the front of my foot.
I could overlook the strange arch support location, but what makes this shoe extra uncomfortable is how high the back comes up on my ankle and how sharp that edge is.
With a name like Sofft, I expected more comfort, and I was very disappointed. The shoe is wearable, but I wish I had returned it before I wore it.

Super cute and so comfy!
This shoe is super comfy! It works well with no socks and with thin socks. It ran small as the other reviews mentioned and I ordered this a 1/2 size up, perfect! The red is a very cherry red. The patent leather puckers a little when you step, but I hope this won't be an issue. Overall a very nice quality shoe.

Not wide enough -
I ordered this shoe in wide and it did not feel wide at all. I am usually able to wear wide shoes from this brand. The shoes are adorable and it makes me sad that I am going to have to send them back.

Comfy but not for me -
I wanted to love these sooo badly! They were ridiculously comfy! It wasn't the fact that I needed prob. a 1/2 size bigger, it was the shape of the toe that got me. Somehow it wasn't round enough or pointy enough. Somewhere in-between just made it drop in stylish points for me I guess. I would love Sofft to come out with pointy shoes!

Comfy, cute and versatile -
I took the advice of several reviewers and bought a half-size larger on this shoe. I'm glad I did! Although my foot is a fairly typical size 5, the 5.5 fits perfectly. I can't imagine my regular size working. That said, it is an adorable shoe and can be worn with all sorts of styles for all sorts of occasions. It's incredibly comfortable, which is a lot to ask of a flat since I find most flats to be lacking in support and comfort. This one holds my foot and carries it through the day in style and comfort. I highly recommend it!

Leather is too hard and scrapes up your heel -
Although I love the look of this shoe, the stitching on the back make the back of the shoe ultra stiff and it ends up scraping up the back of your ankle/heel. I only wear these if I know I am not going to walk a lot. The toe is very narrow as well. Hoping they will soften up but I can't bring myself to wear them long enough for that to happen. Too bad.

Had to send back my usual size and order a half size larger. Now they fit great and dress up or down. The patent makes them work with any look.

It’s a cute shoe, has lacing up the back, which I could do without. It is narrow, even tho I ordered a wide. The arch is not in the right place! So it hurts. It’s in a strange place.

Beautiful detail, beastly fit -
I love the way these shoes look with the corset-like lacing up the heel, but they are SO uncomfortable. There's something about the fit along the top of my foot that pinches a nerve and hurts like crazy. I tried and tried to be patient and break them in, but I just couldn't take it. So that's why I give these shoes such a low rating ... unfortunately.

These shoes are very good looking; the lacing at the back is really cool. I bought a half size larger and they fit fine. I got the red and fell in love, ordered all the other colors which are all gorgeous and none fit, all too big. Such a bummer. Seems to be the story with this shoe and it's too bad. Haven't worn them to see how comfortable they are but they seem pretty cushy. Love Zappos with the no charge shipping and returning. I'm pretty sure I'm addicted at this point. ;-)

Love these shoes!
When buying quality shoes I always purchase a 9W, because I've found that better quality shoes run a little smaller. These fit perfect and I love them!! Please remember to take out the small cardboard toe shaping guard before wearing. I had read some reviews prior to purchase and you might not notice it if you weren't looking. Reviews have stated what limited toe room there is and that could be why. I see nothing wrong with these shoes. They are a stunning addition to any outfit. I have purchased another two pairs. Thank you Sofft!!!
