Worth every penny! Initially, some thought me crazy to spend more than 30 dollars on shoes, but I thought these would be a worthwhile purchase, and so far, so right! Though they take a few days to break in, the more broken in, the more comfortable they become. I wear them with socks, without, they go with jeans and skirts (if style matters to you) and honestly, one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned. Rarely do they ever leave my feet.

Great service & very upbeat, pleasant staff. Had to return 1st pair (too small) and replacement pair was here next day, before my return was in the mail. No billing problems; just great folks to deal with! The sandals are a replacement for a pair I've worn for 15 years! Zappos was the only place that had an exact replacement for an excellent price. These sandals are probably the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn. Birkies are well worth the money!

These old favorites packaged with the Birko-flor are perfect for my narrow feet. I had to punch another hole in the strap, and I had my husband cut the strap a little shorter. These are the most comfortable shoes I own!

Super comfy -
These are truly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I normally need to wear inserts with my shoes for extra arch support, but with these there isn't a need for it. After wearing them for a week, they mold to your feet, and your feet won't slip around in them.

Zappos is awesome! I don't know how they do it, but I ordered a pair of shoes one night and the next day they were on my door step! If you are questioning ordering shoes online, doubt no more, with free shipping both ways you have nothing to lose! If you need to return a pair, no problem, just print a free UPS label and back they go. I recommend this company to everyone! Okay, back to the Birkis: these are great shoes! Very comfortable and the straps are in just the right place for a perfect fit!

Birks ROCK!!
Is this your first order of Birks? If so PLEASE buy them and wear for 3-4 weeks! They get "broken in" and actually form to fit your feet...These will become your most FAVORITE pair of shoes. This is my 7th pair...Don't spend your money on cheap imitations...pay the price for the real thing; your feel will LOVE you for it!

The only problem I have with Birkenstock is my toes are very short and the ridge is uncomfortable. I wish they came in more colors. I love my Birks and wear them out.

One of my all-time favourite shoes -
This one works for me so I keep replacing it every 6 years or so. They last a very long time! I'm an 8.5 to 9 shoe and bought the 39 narrow. I did find it for a bit less at one of the shoe warehouse places locally, so I might check there next time. But overall, I was very pleased with the service from Zappos.

Tried and always True -
I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks 10 years ago, fell in love with the comfort, support, and fit, worked my way through 3 more pair then I just couldn't seem to find my "dream" pair when I was looking until I stumbled upon the exact ones on Zappos.com. I've fallen in love again!

I have foot problems so the Birkenstock's are great. I wear these sandals as slippers in the house and they are very comfortable.

I can't live without my Birkenstocks -
I've worn Birkenstocks for years and this pair is just as good as the other pairs I've had. The last pair lasted for 15 years and I have every reason to believe these will do the same. Added to that is the low Zappos price and the great Zappos service. I do believe the sizes are slightly inaccurate. I usually wear a 39 or an 8. I always order a 38 in the Birkenstock brand.

LOVE my Keens! Last year I bought the Payless knockoff version of these shoes, and the sole cracked within a few months. This time I decided to buy the real thing ;-). And wow--the Keen footbed is FANTASTIC! I usually wear a women's 6 or 7, but a friend told me I could get the same fit--at a much lower price--by buying a kids\' 5. That's what I did, and it's working out beautifully. The shoes are very comfortable; I can wear them year-round with my thick hand-knitted wool socks, and I never have a moment of discomfort. The finish on the leather upper is rather unusual - it's got fine, even vertical lines along the length; really more of a texture thing than anything else, and certainly not distracting. I imagine this is part of the water-resistant treatment. Another interesting note is that the "tongue" of the shoe connects fully to the side pieces via a mesh connector. This can create a rather tight fit, as other reviewers have noticed. I just loosen and scoot and adjust the bungee, though, and it sorts itself out eventually. These shoes do definitely respond well to a solid breaking-in period, but once you get there you'll never want to put anything else on your feet!

Good support for arches, ankles, and posture. I have high arches, have had both ankles rebuilt, as well as my low back. These sandals are a perfect fit. After a couple weeks, the straps stretched and tightened back up to snug the sandals comfortably against the soles of my feet. They immediately set my body into proper posture, something my physical therapist and I have been working to achieve for the last two years. I plan to buy another pair shortly so I have several on hand. Strongly recommended.

Berkies Last -
If you get one that really fits, they last for years! I have had my last pair like this one for 10 years. It always takes me short sessions on wearing them to break them in (or me in), but they are tough shoes.

Fit a little differently. When I first tried on the Birks I thought they might be too big (I'm a women's 7.5 and ordered the recommended 38). I did also order the normal (which equates to wide in the U.S.) since my foot is a bit wider than normal. I read numerous articles on how the shoe should fit. Basically, unstrap the sandals and set your arch over the arch in the footbed. If your heel is in the heel cup and your toes are over the toe arch, they fit. I wore them a few hours a day (at first with socks) to break them in. I have problems with bunions (another reason to get the wider size) and my feet don't bother me at all when I wear the Birkenstocks. The sandals are well made. Overall, I think they're great!

Since I spend so much time with and on my feet, I treat them with kindness and comfort by wearing Birkenstocks every day. These sandals are as comfortable as can be.

My favs -
I have been wearing Birkenstocks for a long time, ever since I began having some foot problems. I love them. I thought I'd try the Birko-Flor to see if I'd like the manmade straps as well as the leather and I do. They are every bit as comfy and good-looking. I love the width a Birkenstock gives me in the toe box area. I was prescribed with orthodics, but still go back to the Birkenstocks for the most comfort.
Some people think Birks feel too wide, but the lady who sold me my first pair told me that your foot is to fit down into the footbed and the straps should be fairly loose for comfort. The sandals don't fall off because the foot has the toe bar and the deep footbed to keep them in. You will need a little break in time to get used to the footbed and allow it to mold to your feet.

I love this shoe! This is my first Birkenstock. I heard about them, but thought they were "dorky." Well I just turned 40 and I've gained weight and my feet don't like it. I have plantar fasciitis. Very painful and uncomfortable heel and arch pain. I ordered these on Tuesday and had them on Thursday! FAST delivery. I also ordered a black pair of closed toe for work along with some cute Dansko shoes. I'm a convert. These shoes are sooooooo awesome. They cradle my poor, sore arch and I'm wearing them around the house to break them in. The doctor said not to walk barefoot on hardwood, so these are my solution. I love, love, love them. I wonder if they will stretch and if so, next time I'll get a smaller size.

Flor-licious!
As a long time Birkenstock wearer, I really want to support and purchase Birki-Flor products, as I try to live a more animal-free lifestyle. They're nice, retain their color well, and are very functional. Because of the "roughness" of material, you do develop almost a callous or rub line along the top of your foot where the sandal hits.
