The most comfortable boots I ever owned. I live in NH and I have been wearing them most of the winter.

A bit disappointing -
Think this one runs a bit small. The left boot rubs my big toe and presses the nail down in a rather painful way. Right boot is just fine. This pair of boots has a heel that gradually slopes inward like an upside-down pyramid stack and this can catch you off balance when walking on uneven surfaces. You have to think about where you are placing your foot as you walk. Wish I could send these boots back but did not realize the issues til I had worn them outdoors.

I have had major foot reconstructive surgery. This shoe does provide comfort as well as fits my orthotics. The narrow heel does take away from stability, seems like it is a signature design aspect to the Propet shoe line.

Propét Scala Brown Nubuck size 11XW -
This boot felt an entire size too small (more like a 10 than an 11). The overall appearance & feel was very cheap. The leather/hide felt paper-like. The sole was not a walking sole, and the weird heel made it feel like I was precariously balanced/perched on top of it, easily able to roll right off & twist an ankle. Very disappointed in this boot.

Rats, I really liked this boot too.
They really are cool looking boots...but just wasn't a good fit for me. I have duck-like feet and usually wear an 8.5 WW/EE and that's what I ordered these in. The fit was good except for the stupid tongue of the boot. It has some padded ribbing right at the widest part of the top of my foot and was very uncomfortable to wear. It was a tight fit to get into it, but once the foot is in, it is very roomy. It fit even better without the removable inserts...but there was no getting around that uncomfortable tongue piece. It broke my heart to have to return these, but I did. Another thing to watch out for is if you are large ankle/calfed. If so, you will no be able to tuck jeans into this boot...leggings maybe. Zappos made the return process super easy though. I am currently waiting to receive the snowflake boot by trotters...I'll let you all know how that goes.

Did not fit as I had hoped -
I have a pair of sling back Propet sneakers so I had high hopes for these boots but they did not work for me. Order an 8 XW and they were too short and too narrow. Soft leather and nice double zipper.

Can't really rate these because I couldn't get them on! So I gave an overall 3 stars because that's a neutral rating. They're not bad looking, but think they're smaller than marked. I had to check both the box and the label inside to confirm it was a 6W (my usual size) when I couldn't get my feet inside.

This is my second pair of shoes (boots) by Propet and they are my favorites. Having high arches and wide feet (also a foot condition that involves calluses on the bottom of my feet that crack), these are incredible! Comfort plus. Both pairs I was able to wear all day long and not be uncomfortable. Long Live Propet!!!
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Any other Propet! Softspots a close second.

 |  | I just wanted to thank you for being so wonderful. Last week I ordered a pair of shoes but when I got them home the color didn't match so I needed to return them. What I didn't realize was that when I shipped them back to you, my cell phone charger was also in the box. The last couple of days I have been going crazy looking for it. But to my surprise it showed up today. My UPS driver just dropped off a tiny Zappos box. As I opened the box knowing that I hadn't ordered anything, I was amazed and grateful to find the charger in there. This little gesture just proves how much your company goes above and beyond for their customers and I for one truly, truly appreciate it. When you say "We are always here for you" you really mean it! I love your company, site, and all you stand for and do for your customers. I can't thank you enough for making my day! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
