Great boots! I tried several pairs of La Canadienne and this pair was perfect for walking long distances as well as looking good with skirts. Also, thanks so much to Zappos great customer service who helped me with getting the exact pair of boots I wanted!

These are very nice boots. They are comfortable and well made and I wish I could have kept them. Unfortunately, I have to return them because they are not made for narrow calves.

I sent these to my daughter. I had sent a half size smaller first and she returned those and I reordered the next size. She got both in only a day or two and the return was processed very quickly as well. I guess if in doubt, order the larger size. The service was the best!

A comfortable, nice quality boot in a gorgeous rich brown leather. They look great with long skirts and dresses. I wish they were an inch taller, as they don\'t look quite as good with above the knee skirts. Also, I have small calves and there is a gap in the circumference between leg and boot, unfortunately.

Boots are great! I have a wide foot and they fit perfectly! I am going To Europe for a 2 week vacation and wanted something that was stylish, water-proof and comfortable to walk in. These "fit the bill".

I was hesitant to spend the money on these boots, but the good reviews were encouraging. I was NOT disappointed. They are super comfortable, warm and very hot! The leather is very soft and a rich brown. I don't have terribly wide feet, but I ordered the the wider size and was glad I did. They fit perfectly. I will agree with others who note they don't have super arch support, but I suspect I can put my orthotics in them. I haven't tried yet. I'm sold on La Canadienne boots and the Tracy boots are great!

These are wonderful - they run small, I usually wear a 9 and I needed a 9.5 in this boot. Very satisfied with them!

Great boots, wish I could keep them. :(
I have one foot that seems to be permanently swollen due to surgeries. These boots fit wonderfully on my "normal" foot, but were too tight on the surgery foot. I wish I could keep them, but they were too uncomfortable on the one foot. :( I ordered the wide-width and the circumference at the top was perfect - which was surprising since I have athletic calves (15 or 16") and can't find a boot that fits at the top.

The best boots!
This is my 3rd pair of La Canadienne boots, and are the best yet. No break-in period required -- they are as comfortable as bedroom slippers from the first wearing, yet they still look sleek and handsome. I absolutely love that they are waterproof -- great for traveling. With La Canadiennes I buy a half size larger so that my orthotics will fit. Excellent boots.

Warm!
The La Canadienne Tracy boot is both warm and comfortable. It doesn't have much arch support so I need to add insoles. (The insole that comes with them are not removable.) Otherwise they felt true to size, and are warm, waterproof and reasonably stylish. They don't look as lugged in person as they do in the photo. The brown is a very dark brown, quite nice.

Best boots I've ever owned -
I've only had these boots for 2 weeks, but so far I love them. Living in Vermont, I was looking for something warm, stable, waterproof but yet good looking enough to wear skirts. I work at a college and walk around on campus a great deal, and I'm concerned about falling down when the walkways get slippery and the snow is deep. So far, these have met all of my expectations. I ordered the wide width and they fit just fine.

Classy and Timeless -
I was looking for beautiful, well-designed boots that are comfy and would be neither in nor out of fashion. I needed boots for dressy occasions but also serious winter as I live in Minnesota. These boots were great.

High quality leather and supportive sole. Feels like you are wearing a good pair of walking shoes. The fit of the shaft of the boot is well designed through the use of barely visible gussets. And waterproof! This is the kind of boot I need for all but the dressiest of occasions. They look fine with skirts and pants.

Great Winter Boot -
This boot is really comfortable and warm. It does not come all the way up to the knee but is a great height for wearing with pants or long skirts. It is pretty snug and not really designed for wearing with pants tucked in. I have been wearing them a lot. I live in the northeast and they are perfect for cold wet or snowy weather.

Like other La Canadienne boots I've gotten, these are comfortable. I got them in wide and my regular size and the fit was perfect. I have wide calves (15") so I have to tug a bit to pull up the zippers. After they are zipped, they are fine for my 12 hour work day. However, the ankle areas are not smooth - perhaps the calves are too snug.

Great casual boots, especially for larger calves!
These boots fit very well because of the stretch panel on the side. Even though I am short (5'1") and thin, I have large calves for my size (around 15") and have a hard time finding real leather boots that fit (as opposed to stretchy synthetic fabric). I tried on many "wide calf" boots that didn't fit well, while regular boots were always too small - but these were close to perfect! They are a touch snug at the very top, but not uncomfortable. The footbed is also comfortable and accommodates orthotics. This boot is pricey, but is well made and waterproof! It is definitely a more casual boot.

These are really special, has some hard to find features. I have knee and lower back problems and need my shoes/boots to be light weight and have a flexible sole. Also, the soles look really great for walking (instead of sliding!) on slippery wintry sidewalks. The height of the shaft is shorter than most "tall" boots and the diameter at the top is a closer fit than the average boot. This works great for me because I am petite (hate it when a tall boot digs into the back of my knee when I am seated) and I have slender legs. I tried these on with a skirt and they look cute, at the same time I was able to tuck in my skinny jeans quite easily.

Very Comfy! I was very excited to get these boots! These are really the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I have athletic calves and wide feet. At the largest part of my calf my measurement is 17.5", I can barley get the zipper up. The boots are stretched to their max. However my ankles are thin and these boots look and feel wonderful. I will only be able to wear these with tights or bare leg, but they still are worth it. The brown is very dark brown. The footbed is perfect for pounding the pavement and the toe box is ample. The inside of the boot is very soft and warm and the sole is sturdy and slip proof. I got a 9.5 wide and I'm glad I did.

Comfy, warm, soft, and stylish - I wore these on one of the first days of cold weather. I didn't even need to break them in, they were so comfortable, and the lining is so warm and soft! The quality is impeccable. Stylish and versatile can be worn with long pants, skirts, or jeans. I can't wait to try them out in harsh Chicago winters!

La Canadienne Tracy -
These boots are great! They look a lot cuter in person. I've been looking forever for a mid-calf boot with a flat, comfortable sole. I ordered several pairs and these were by far the most comfy. They're not clunky at all, like many were, and there's good traction on the soles which I need for the winters here. They look great with skirts, capris, and easily fit under jeans, but there's still just enough room at the top for them to fit over skinny jeans. They're perfect! And Zappos is the best!

Bitterly disappointed! Removing from MY FAVORITE BRAND.
Styling is awesome. Footbed is pretty basic, without any support. My borderline wide feet were literally hanging over the outer edge. The leather is very thin and soft. The zipper was a JOKE. I could tell that it wouldn't last long. It is a long, thin dress zipper for clothes. Baggy around the ankles and super tight around the calf. I waited impatiently for my size to appear and am bitterly disappointed in the quality and comfort of these well-reviewed boots.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Anything that forsakes comfort & practicality for style & a hefty pricetag.

Not for narrow calves -
I've been searching (in vain) for boots to fit my slender calves and although these came up on a search for such a style, it's not true. The circumference is 15 inches - not narrow. If you only want to wear them with long skirts, you might accept it, but I just don't find it comfortable to have an extra inch or two of boot gapping around my calf. The hunt continues.

The zipper broke in 2 months...
I live in Chicago where the winters are BRUTAL. These boots are comfortable, have tracking that helps when you walk on ice, and are water proof... but if you don't have a car and do a lot of walking in the snow (like I do), you should probably rethink buying these because the zipper will break within a few months of buying them.

Comfortable and practical -
This is a great boot. I have a lot of trouble with foot pain and this boot is a miracle. Comfortable right away. The fact that it is waterproof works well for slushy cold days. I can't say that it is truly beautiful, the toe box is a little too rounded and large, but that is why it is so comfortable. I had trouble with the price, but at least I will wear these to death, so it is worth it in the long run. Soft leather. If you are really picky, the stretch panel at the calf may bother you, but I don't care because it is a fair trade off to me to have it fit so well. The brown is almost black, so you can get away with wearing it with black coat or accessories, but probably not black pants. I ordered my true size in wide and am glad I did.

Worth every penny -
The fit and comfort level of these boots is excellent. High quality construction, and keeps me warm in cold weather. I wear them around the office and pad around on their quiet rubber soles. I walked all weekend in them in London lately and they were a dream. They do scuff a little bit easily, but this is easy to remedy with a little leather oil or polish.

 | | I absolutely love Zappos.com! I have told everyone I know about your site before they go school shopping for their kids shoes. I love everything about Zappos.com. I can't believe how fast they ship either or how they stand behind their product. I don't usually take time to write reviews but everyone needs to know about how great this company is. I ordered my sons school shoes on a Friday and they arrived on Monday! Thank you Zappos! Keep up the great work! | | ~ Cathy F, September 13 2009
