I’ve been wearing the David Tate Sport for more than a year now & have found them to be satisfactory. While I really like the boot-like appearance, I agree with other reviewers that the shoe runs a tad narrow. I usually wear a 9W & that is what I ordered in the Sport. Perhaps if I didn’t have a bunion, the fit/comfort of this shoe would have been better. I wear these shoes with both slacks & jeans.

Style of shoes was awesome, and they fit really well, but for some reason my feet got very hot in them very quickly. Absolutely no way for your feet to breath. Also, the footbed was pretty hard, made better by insoles, but still could be more comfortable.

I'm no tree hugger, but...
...these shoes are pretty sweet. I didn't jump on these shoes because of the whole 'eco-friendly' movement. I actually bought my first pair of Simple shoes probably a dozen or more years ago and have always had a pair since then. I hadn't bought a new pair in years, so when I came back to see what's new... this is what I found.
They aren't the most comfy shoes in the world, but they are plenty comfy for casual bummin' around.
I love the look of the bicycle tire bumpers and car tire outsoles. I think what I appreciate the most, though, is the design effort itself. These folks have put a tremendous amount of effort into every detail of these shoes, making creative use of all sorts of recycled or sustainable materials in ways I've personally never seen before.
Thanks Simple! Oh, and thanks Zappos.com for getting them to me in about 20 hours from when I clicked 'submit' and at no extra cost. God bless your twittering little souls.

A real nice shoe and comfortable... made from a tire tread and tires for your car last a long time. I am expecting this shoe to last for awhile and they are fairly sporty and casual. Real happy with the purchase !

Ummmm, cool idea but...
I love the concept (EcoS), and the "look" is cool, but wearing these things is like putting on what I would imagine a ballerina slipper on steroids would be like. There's no arch support to speak of, they're incredibly...flat. There isn't any structure to the shoes, they just wrap around your foot almost like a super-rubberized sock.
I don't have a Simple retailer near where I live, so I purchased these things from Zappos (coolest shoe site ever), and crossed my fingers. They arrived, I opened the box, and my first thought was that these shoes looked as cool as they did in the web site photos. It all went downhill from there.

I bought these because I like the company's "green" philosophy. They’re made in the USA with recycles tire soles, recycled eyelets, hemp upper...and organic adhesives.
All this...and they are comfy on the inside as well.

Great shoe. Good arch support, fantastic aesthetic and attention to detail. Really feels good on!
Mine came out of the box with some black scuffs on the toe box, which try as I might, would not come out. It appeared the sole had rubbed on the shoe in transit or in storage.
Leading me to state, that the buff color suffers from the elements however, it rained the weekend I took delivery and the back of mine got quite grey, very quickly. Scotchguard would have been a good precaution and more careful packing by Simple from the factory, as the hemp soaks up pretty much anything it is exposed to.
End result? It all adds to the character of a very relaxed, yet stylish looking comfortable shoe.

I was a little worried that the shoe would be a 1/2 size small as many of the other Simple shoe reviews suggest. This one is not. It fits like it should. The hemp seems to be holding up well and cleans easily enough. I really like this shoe. Cheers to Simple for this Vegan and eco-friendly sneaker!

Simple goes ECO-friendly and my feet feel great!
Dope Shoe. White color gets a little dirty quickly, esp. if it has just rained and your jeans drag up the back from the black sole to the hemp heel. Arch support is very comfortable and shoe feels good on, all day... which for me is 12-15 hours. So that's affirmation of good design in itself. Mine came out of the box with a black smudge across the toe box, but I figured the 'off-white'/cream color will soon be dirty enough it won't matter.
That's what you get with white fabric/hemp sneakers... character. And dirt. Love the shoes, the design and the product overall. Would buy again.

Great cause -
I had heard about Simple's EcoSneaks through a magazine and I though the concept was great. Unfortunately, I really didn't like the look of the Sno Tire model. FINALLY Simple has released a new model of these earth friendly shoes. Not only are they surprisingly comfortable given the materials they are made from, but they also look great! Highly recommended to the environmentally conscious buyer.

 |  | I just wanted to take the time to tell you that this was the best online retail experience I've ever had! From start to finish, the process was extremely well thought out. The ordering process was as easy as actually being in a brick and mortar store, payment was a breeze, and shipping was unheard of! I ordered two pairs of Globe "The Don" shoes on Tues night around 7pm. The next day I got an email saying my shipping was being upgraded at no charge cuz I'm "super rad" and then on Thurs afternoon, they were on my doorstep!
