I recently purchased the Softspots Viola in black. People tell me they look great. A woman stopped me in the grocery store the other day to ask what kind of shoe I was wearing. I like the shoe overall, but I find that the footprint is a little small for me, making them not as comfortable to walk in as I would like. I generally prefer comfort over style, but this shoe has enough of both to satisfy me. Besides, the compliments make up for the minor lack of comfort.

Shoes were very comfortable and true to size. The rounded toe was very appealing and the way the heel was molded made it easier to walk on rather than a block heel. Ordered this shoe in 8W. I've got a wide foot bed and narrow heels. This shoe is very comfortable. I like the strap as it keeps my smaller left foot from slipping out of this shoe. What I don't like is that the strap is wider than the buckle, and it's tough to get done up on some days (I've had to ask a coworker to help me out on occasion!), but the leather seems to be softening up, so that isn't as much of a problem any more. There just isn't enough cushioning on the foot bed for me to wear them outside on our rough and uneven sidewalks for longer walks, but I did buy them to mostly wear in the office. I like the retro style, and they do seem to appear like more of a wedge than a heel (but I like them enough to have ordered another style from this brand!).

Too Small but Nice Shoe -
I really like the styling and the arch support and foot cushion were great. I'm a true 6-1/2 and these were too small. I will probably order again as a size 7.

I returned these shoes with a heavy heart. I love the look and they are very comfortable. The problem was that I need to be able to wear black hose with them and the beige liner shows through the openings, very obviously, so it would look tacky with anything other than bare feet or nude/beige nylons. I just needed more versatility.

The shoes are perfect; true to size and very comfortable. The service on this order was unbelievable! I ordered and realized that I had not selected next day delivery. I called to see if that could be changed as I needed the shoes for my father's Memorial Service in a few days. The customer service rep who answered the call was so thoughtful, she found my order, changed the delivery at no charge and assured me that the shoes would be on my door step on Tuesday and they were! As if that were not enough, while she was searching for the order and changing the delivery she asked me about my dad and told me how sorry she was to hear of his death. She reassured me that the shoes would arrive on Tuesday, asked if there was anything else she could do and very kindly ended our conversation. The shoes arrived on Tuesday and a very lovely basket of flowers with a nice note arrived on Wednesday from Zappos.com! The shoes are perfect, the customer care exceptional! Thank you.

I have worn these shoes several times and just love them!!! They look great with either a dress or pants. The comfort and support are excellent. I have a tendon problem in my foot so this is very important. True to size.

I always have trouble finding wide shoes that do not look frumpy. These cute little shoes are so cushony inside, and fit perfectly. I was able to wear them right out of the box - all day (including two walks around the office building at break) with no pinching or rubbing. They look great with dressy clothes, as well as stylish jeans. I have come to the conclusion that I will not waste my time begging the stores to stock stylish wide shoes. I will always buy from Zappos!

Shoe is very cute but it runs about 1/2 a size small. I\'m returning my size 8 1/2 for a size 9. Hope it fits because it really is a cute shoe.

I love these shoes. I searched pages and pages of shoes and these are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted sandals that were dressy, comfortable and gave my feet a little more coverage. Not only that, but I wanted a neutral color that would go with just about any outfit. I really got lucky this time.

These shoes are adorable and I really love them, but I did have a problem with the toe area. I have what is called "hammer toes" (second and third toe on each foot). What I did was to put the shoes on shoe stretchers for a couple of days,and I also bought what is called "toe bandages". These are made by a company called Profoot. You can usually find the in the foot care section. There are probably other companies that sell them, too. What they are is round soft foam cushions that go around your toes. You can cut them to size. They made the shoes feel very comfortable in that area and there was no more rubbing against the toes. If I had not been able to purchase the toe bandages, I would have had to send these beautiful shoes back!

Wide in the toe, but I adore the way these shoes look, totally gorgeous! The shoe is nice and roomy in the toe, but it cuts in to the middle part of the outer edge of my foot. I bought the W (D) width, but I wish I'd bought the WW (EE). I just didn't think my foot was that wide! I do have a high instep, however. If your feet are wide in the toe area and you don't have a high instep, then the W should be okay, but if you have a high instep or if your feet are wide in the middle part of the foot as well as the toe, I would recommend ordering WW (EE), even if you don't think your feet are super wide. Length feels true to size (I am generally a size 7, and the 7 fits fine in the length).

Zappos has the best delivery system ever! It's amazing how fast it is. I am returning this shoe for two reasons: 1. It binds at both sides near the place where the baby toe and big toes end on both feet. 2. The middle part of the shoe's sole is more narrow than the front part (toe box) and it creates a tendency to wobble – especially if you suffer from balance issues to begin with. The upside is, this shoe is comfortable, well constructed and super cute. It looks great with skirts and possibly also cropped and business casual pants. I'm sad this style won't work for me. I have wide feet, size 7 - 7.5 EE. The toe box on this shoe was very roomy. It is nicely cushioned with fair arch support. It has a textured sole, which helps prevent slipping. Heel height is comfortable – but like I said, it feels wobbly when you are walking.

The fit is very comfortable, even the ankle strap is soft and doesn't rub the skin. Very cushioned footbed. I could wear these for hours right after taking them from the box. Love the saddle brown leather, which seems to be reasonably good quality. These have a sort of retro style with a rounded toe. They are a good fit for my short and wide feet.

I almost always wear sneakers and hate wearing heels or dress shoes, but I really like these shoes and found them very comfortable. I ordered what I consider my \'true\' size (7 1/2 Wide) and the size/fit was perfect. I don\'t think I\'ve ever had nice shoes that fit quite so well or were so easy to walk in.\r\n

I love these sandals! They fit from the first wearing and are comfortable enough to wear all day. They provide decent arch support and the soles are well cushioned. Normally in Softspots I wear a 10 W (D), but for these shoes I ended up with the 10 WW (EE) because they come up higher on the sides of the foot. They fit just right without any breaking in. The 10 D would have probably worked with a bit of a break in period and/or a blister! With Zappos awesome shipping and return policies, getting the right size was a snap! All my favorite shoes that fit right came from Zappos.

Very comfortable shoe! Heel feels more like 2 inches than 2 1/2 inches, possibly because the forefoot/toe is extra wide, so your weight is more widely distributed over the toe, causing less pressure on your toes/forefoot. If you have a normal forefoot, these will still fit you fine, in my opinion, even though the forefoot will be extra roomy. If you have trouble finding a toebox that is wide enough, you will absolutely love these shoes! A rare find for people who need a wide and very rounded toebox in a pretty, heeled shoe that does not look clunky. I am calling the shoe "true to width" overall, however, because only the toebox is wide. The rest of the shoe is true to width, which is exactly what many people are looking for and which makes this shoe a rare find.

Overall, I really like these shoes. I work in an environment where closed-toe/closed-heel shoes are recommended, and the dress code is conservative business. I've struggled to find acceptable black summery shoes. I love the design and comfort. The only issue is these shoes make a "clomp, clomp" sound when you walk on solid surfaces, like the old wooden clogs of the 1980's. I've had this problem with most wedge-style shoes. Still, I love the look so much I'm trying to learn to walk more quietly.
