Solid bag -
Okay, this isn't the bag you would bring to a fancy restaurant, but for the day to day, it is great. The magnetic closures are fantastic - I'm never a fan of zipping, closing flaps, buttoning buttons...just don't have the time. It helps to keep me organized from coupons to cell phone to a spare diaper for the little one - and it's not so big that things get lost.

Great little bag! There is room for everything! Fabric wipes clean! My only complaint is that they went to a softer strap rather than the thicker they used to use on their bags.

I really like the bag. I may get it in other colors. I am 6' tall so I wish the strap could adjust to be 2-3 inches longer. Overall I like the organization of it. I do wish the strap was more like the material of the bag than the seatbelt type material.

I love this cross shoulder bag. There is only one thing that would make it perfect, and that is a zipper compartment big enough to fit a credit card wallet in the front section.

Overall good, but one major disappointment -
I like the size, look, color selection of this product. I do NOT like the magnetic discs that serve as the closure element for the bag. You must only keep the minimal amount in your bag in order for them to stay closed all of the time and even then they can open with any pressure. Would have preferred a more conventional closure.

Husband willing to wear this bag!
This bag is very useful. I find that it can be used as a diaper bag and husband is willing to carry it around since it doesn't look very feminine. Love the magnetic closure, but wouldn't feel comfortable putting anything of value in it

Comfortable and right size.
Bought to be a travel and everyday bag. Has a cross body bag with a lift-up flap which was awkward to use. This does the job with a drop down flap in front. I like the fleece lined phone pocket and the other pockets for small items. It will take a guide book or map in the back pocket (body side). The inside is deep enough for what I carry without having to dig deep to find things. The Laurel/Sky/Silver color is perfect. The color is close to a teal. The fit and finish is very good.

Comfortable Bag -
It was suggested to be that I no longer carry shoulder bags so I thought that this bag might be a good replacement. I was not disappointed. It can be carried across the body and I can get all of my essentials into it in an organized fashion. I am not crazy about the magnet closure at the top but it seems to keep the bag closed most of the time.

Great bag -
I dislike carrying a purse, but have to lug around enough stuff that it is usually necessary. The Overland Equipment Auburn works out really well for me. The front keeps often-used items accessible and has a key hook. The interior has enough room for a paperback book, calendar, and notebook. I like the magnets that snap shut automatically when I'm done - no messing with buckles or zippers. There's also an outside pocket big enough to stuff a magazine or a few sections of the newspaper. I've used it as a shoulder bag and an across-the-body bag, both are comfortable.

Finally I can get rid of the diaper bag!
For 6 years I have either carried a diaper bag or a huge purse with diapers shoved in it. Since my youngest is finally over that, I was ready to dig back into my HUGE purse collection, but nothing seemed right. I loved the organization of the diaper bags I had been using and my purses all seemed like black holes. Then I saw a friend of mine with her Overland bag and I knew I had to have one. I had never even heard of them before seeing hers. Wow, I just LOVE it. In fact, I ordered 2. One in black and one in green. There is so much room in this bag and the quick access magnetic snaps are the greatest. I actually have room left over... if I ever have to carry a diaper again. Boy, I hope not!

Pretty good -
I was hoping this bag would be a bit bigger to accommodate my rather hefty textbooks. Its big enough for some of my books, but just a tiny bit too narrow for a binder. Still, I like the look and its decently comfortable across my chest or over my shoulder, so I'll keep it.

Perfect bag -
I had ceased carrying a bag of any kind, finding them cumbersome and heavy, but then I found this cute one. I holds everything imaginable, is easy to carry, weighs almost nothing, and I have even attached my keys to a lanyard which I have then hooked permanently into the bag on the attached hook. I can use my keys without ever having to put my bag down, even in the car. Wonderful. I love it. And best of all, it's from Zappos, the very best place to shop on the web or anywhere else for that matter.

Auburn bag -
This is exactly what I was looking for. A handbag look that would tote all of my things. I found it in this bag. I like the weight of it (very light) and the fact that I can wear it cross-wise for hands-free shopping. My daughter wants one too!!!

Bag lady -
I have owned a few of the Overland purses and I like each one better. This is a nice medium sized purse with plenty of compartments. As a Mom, it keeps me organized!

Good bag, but not for me.
This is a great bag, but just isn't going to work for me. I love the organization of it, like the look (lining is great!), and it's definitely comfortable (love the thick/wide strap), but it's just not big enough for me. I never thought I carried a lot of stuff around, but I guess I do. While I was able to shove my basics into this bag, it wasn't easy to access once packed up and I didnt feel it was very secure. The large compartment has a small zippered pocket inside, but the compartment itself is closed only by magnetic button - something could fall out at a tilt or anyone could reach in and grab something, I think. If I were able to downsize my basics or feel comfortable not using a full-sized wallet, this would be a great bag. As it is, I need my stuff, so this is going back. I'm bummed about it though!

Have bag, will travel -
Just back from five days in London with this bag. I'm SO glad I bought it. The perfect cross between a purse and a messenger bag. I love the easy access to the inside of the bag. Plus, enough room for everything, excluding the kitchen sink :-) Lots of pockets and places to stash stuff. I'm definitely going to get a cheery-colored one for spring/summer jaunts. One thing though -- the tag on the bag showed a zipper on the inside flap, but mine didn't have one. A design change, perchance?

Better then a fanny pack -
Its very easy to move around it. I use it on weekends when I just need a few things and my camera. Great when running around with the kids.
You don't have to take it off when you get in and out of the car.

Great travel bag -
Just the lightweight, stylish bag I have been searching for since a trip to Italy where I had trouble coping with a guidebook, sunglasses, water bottle, notepad, pen, etc, etc. Which seemed to weigh more and more as the day's sightseeing went on. I haven't used it yet, but I love the way it looks. Roll on next summer!

Exactly what I was looking for...
Love this bag... not to mention it was at my front door 22 hours after I ordered it. The daisy print inside is cute and the magnet clasps are plenty strong. The number of organization features is neither too many, nor too few. It is not too big, but today I put a pair of clogs and a can of pop into it and it was fine!

Great bag for travel and day trips!
I bought this bag after searching a long time for something that would meet my needs. I wanted to find a bag to hold a camera, sunglasses, tickets, some cash and a credit card, etc. for an upcoming trip and I was tired of making due with a messenger-type bag with no organization. I looked a lot of places before finding Overland Equipment. I love this bag! I ordered it in black so I can use it with anything. Having hidden magnetic closures on the main compartment and the organizer flap means no fumbling with zippers or straps. Having the lining in a pattern serves two functions: first, it's cute and second, it makes it a lot easier to find things inside. The strap can be adjusted, so you can wear it short and over one shoulder, or long across your body and anywhere in between. If I made the strap as long as possible and wore it across my body, it would easily reach to mid-thigh and I'm 5'4". The organizer thing on the front is great for cash, a credit card or two, a pen, cell phone and other small items. The material of the bag is like heavy duty twill and seems very durable. It is a casual bag and would not really be appropriate for business attire, but it's great for travel or any other time.

I purchased this bag to replace an Overland Donner bag that I owned for 7 years. The bag was practically indestructible and washable to boot. I wanted to try a different style and downsize a bit. I needed the convenience of a cross body bag and a style I could appreciate for who knows how many years... what woman keeps a bag for 7 years? I wanted an opening at the top with no flap. I needed an extra pocket on the back. I like the front flap with the slots and cubbies for pens, glasses, a cell phone and other stuff. The gusseted pocket under the flap is great. There is also a zippered pocket on the inside. The colored lining makes it easier to find things. It is easier to get at items than my old Donner (though it looks like they improved the design on the Donner). I like the magnetic closures instead of a zipper or clip. I settled for black though I debated on the slate/berry color. I would have liked charcoal or even chocolate color. All in all, I think it is a great everyday bag and a great value for the money.

 | | I want to take this time to write to you guys and say thank you for the great service I received. You guys went ahead and went out of your way to prioritize my order and make it arrive even sooner than expected, just to show consumer appreciation. I appreciate that a lot. A week ago I had never even heard of Zappos.com and now, I'm going around telling family and friends of your great variety of shoes and the excellent service you guys provided me with. We would all be more happy people if at least 1/4 of the companies out there provided the service you guys provide. I have never been so satisfied with any other order. Thank you guys so much. | | ~ Antonio A., September 05 2008
