He loves them!
My 6 year old loves these shoes. The colors are great. They are very comfortable to him. And I have been pleased with the quality of the construction. Sometimes, he struggles a bit with the velcro, only because instead of 2 straps of velcro it has a firm rubber "U" shaped piece that contains the velcro. But that issue aside, I would highly recommend this shoe. And he says they are "cool"!

Kid loves the shoe/good company -
This is a discontinued Stride Rite product. My eight year old loves these shoes and wanted another pair. I am really not rating this product because to be honest it doesn't matter what I think or how I rate it. What is important is that he loves the Sabertooth shoe and it was available at Zappos. While we had to pay retail price for it, we received the shoes in two days and they were exactly the product we ordered. While Zappos may not be the cheapest place to get shoes, they have a wide selection and deliver the product they promise when they say they will deliver it.

Second grader's favorite!
My 7 1/2 year old loves these cool sneakers. We love Stride Rite (and Zappos!) because we can get wides, which works great for him. He is very excited to wear them! This is our third pair (in yet larger size) that we have bought, and they hold up well to the heavy use they get.

They self destructed in less than a month!!
My 8 year old loved these shoes -- they look great. Sadly they were not durable enough to meet the needs of my busy boy! The quick close strap over the arch is secured to the shoe by a small piece of elastic, which tore from the shoe in only three weeks of use. It seems a significant design flaw to use such a fragile material to attach the velcro band.

Wonderful shoe!
I bought this shoe for both my 6 and 3 yr old boys. They have wide feet that are hard to fit. These have plenty of room in the width and arch, but more importantly, the boys love how they look, too! Wide feet make for small shoe selection and these are heaven sent. I will order again!!!

Quality boy’s shoe -
My five year old son loves these shoes. This is our second pair of SR Sabertooth, we had the brown pair before which he grew out of. The "navy" shoe is actually blacker in color which we like better anyway. I love Stride Rite shoes because they are so well made, durable, and easy to keep clean. We are always able to pass them down when outgrown to the younger cousins and they are still in very good shape.

These are great shoes.
My son is very picky about his shoes. He has a very wide short foot and these were the first shoes that we tried that fit well. He really likes them, says they are very comfortable AND they seem to stop the horrible odor that he had all summer in his Keens.

Super Shoes!
My son loves this pair of shoes! He has a really wide foot and it is becoming very difficult to find shoes with Velcro that don't look like "old man" golf shoes. The quick close part took some getting used to, but overall we are very pleased.

Velcro strap a problem -
I returned one shoe because the velcro strap came off at the seam and the exact same thing happened again. I do not recommend the shoe.

Easy, comfortable, sturdy -
We finally found a velcro shoe which is as easy as they purport to be! The opening is very wide, making it easy to slip the foot in, and then close with one motion. Our 6 year old doesn't balk at putting on his shoes anymore. He loves them- feels very fast too.

My 6-year-old still doesn't like tying his shoes. I got him these to wear to school and he won't wear any other pair. He absolutely loves them...plus, you can dress them up or down, they look good either way.

Fabulous Sneakers -
My seven year old son is very picky about his footwear. He has a wide foot that is hard to size. We've tried other brands but we always end up back at Stride Rite. We love the Sabertooth look and design. No breaking in period. The velcro closure gives a nice tight close. I recommend highly!

The person who wears these shoes is handicapped and wears the shoes as if she likes them. She says it doesn't hurt and she likes wearing them, so I guess in spite of her foot problems, she is comfortable. If Zappos has a wider size maybe next time we'll order that.

Quick Close with Sabertooth -
We love the styling of the shoe, but the function of the quick close mechanism isn't ideal. My son has trouble closing it to get a snug fit and the shoe subsequently slips off his heel. Awesome shoe, but the quick close needs improvement.

Perfect fit for a 7-year old -
We bought this for my son as a replacement for the Stride Rite lizard style sneaker and the fit is perfect. He loves them and wants to wear them everyday! He has a wide foot, and the wide worked out great for him. Thanks again Zappos, you're great!

Sabertooth for boys -
The look of the Sabertooth shoe is wonderful for boys. In our case, however, the wide width just didn't fit correctly. It is probably our boy’s foot. Otherwise, he really liked the shoe.

A great "cool guy" shoe -
My son just loves this shoe! He is 7 and hates to TIE his shoes. I gave in and got this shoe because it doesn't look like a toddler shoe, but a cool athletic shoe. He gets a lot of compliments from his friends. It has also worn well and my son usually has a new shoe looking pretty shabby after one week of use.

Great shoe!
Most velco closure shoes don't tighten enough for a narrower foot. These are great! No slipping off the heel and he can "do it all by himself".

Loves them -
Super easy on - flap opens all way to toes. One strap folds over with nothing to hook into. "spiky" bottoms makes him think they are mountain climbing / baseball shoes. He wears them everyday.
