I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this slipper. Everyone is spot on when they say you can't get your foot into the opening. Too bad very nice looking slipper otherwise.

Opening so narrow can't put foot in it -
My husband has normal narrow feet, low instep but he couldn't even get his foot in the shoe. He's never had this problem before. I ordered the next size up and still he couldn't even get his foot in it. Too bad since he really wanted this style.

Two benchmark companies I've done considerable business with since the 1970s: UGG & Eddie Bauer ...simply because they used to make top drawer quality sheepwool & goose down products. Well, several years ago, Eddie Bauer was purchased by Chicago-based Spiegel & quickly became a me-too Lands End ...abandoning their highest quality goose down garments for hunting & winter recreation. It now appears within the past couple years that Ugg/Australia is moving down that same path to lower quality...However, with respect to the UGG-"HENRY" slipper, they are making a very high quality product ...regrettably, they're following to the letter UGG's failed design of this shoe! I bought a pair in 2007. I have a 10.5 D foot; and ditto most of the other complaints, there was absolutely no way that I could get that Henry on my foot? If I'd used a car jack, I still couldn't have gotten it on. So, what we have here is an ultra high quality slipper, with superb arch support, that virtually no one can wear. Also, as others have commented, UGG has changed out the Henry's upper with some new design material other than smooth shearling? Now it looks like a shoe made for Saks 5th Avenue in downtown Manhattan. OK, for the past 15-20 years I've purchased the Ugg Mate & loved every pair I ever bought ...offered in either sand or chestnut colors. The size 11 always fit perfectly. So, unless you have a size 3-extra narrow foot, this Henry is a sad joke for UGG's future customer base. So Zappos, will your management please get in touch with the UGG design department and ask these folks what they've been doing? I would dearly love to know how many pairs of Henry(s) have been returned in the past 18-24 months ... USA-wide? If UGG insists on keeping this loser slipper, would they at least bring back the UGG-Mate? If there's any UGG-Mate inventory left anywhere on the planet ... I'll buy 6 pair right now ... sand or chestnut ... makes no difference.

Man, I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered these in 2 different sizes. Read the review by Disastrous Design Error. That's EXACTLY how I felt. These are poorly designed, and Uggs should do a recall on them. Do not order these!

DISASTROUS DESIGN ERROR - big oops for Ugg!
The opening in the top of this slipper is abnormally small! What a design disaster by Ugg! I can only think that this entire style is defective! My husband is a slender man with very average, medium-width, size 10 feet and (like so many other reviewers here) he could not even get his toes into this slipper to try them on! Ugg used to make a similar style called Sid. Sid had a nicer, chunkier sole and an opening that allowed one to actually put the slippers on. Alas, my husband wore his Sids out. So, despite the reviews here, I ordered him a pair of Henry thinking perhaps the other reviewers had unusually wide feet, but nooo, these slippers are just not cut for the average human foot. I read a review that recommended slitting the stitching of the top seam to make the opening larger, but I don't think I should have to modify (and possibly ruin) a pair of premium-priced Uggs to make them function as they ought to have in the first place! Bottom line: buyer beware!

I got these for my husband to replace a well-corn pair of Ugg slippers, but the opening on these Henry slippers is too small. They were nearly impossible for him to get on and they cut into his foot and the top of his ankle. Really wish they would have worked.

I wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered these since I see that there are so many other people who've experienced the same problem.
I had Ugg slippers all through my teens (20+ years ago) and I loved them, so I thought I'd give them another try. I ordered an 11 and was very pleased then they arrived a day later. Though they seem from the footprint to be an 11, I can't get my foot into them!!! I mean, c'mon, this is ridiculous. Now they're going back.

My husband LOVES this slipper! I needed to order a larger size because the opening was too small to get on with ease. I also ordered for my brother; he had the same problem and we've had to return them. Otherwise, they're beyond wonderful!

Great if you have an abnormal foot.
The shoe is comfortable and warm once you get it on your foot, (if that's possible). The opening at the top is not big enough to get a normal foot into it. I a lot of skin off the top of my feet trying to get them on. I finally cut a slit at the top of the opening to get them on after my feet healed a bit.

I purchased these slippers for my husband who has diabetes and he suffers with cold feet...he loves them and has warn them each day since he got them...a great purchase...my daughter also got a pair of Ugg slippers from a friend for Christmas...I am the only one without a pair...but I put hers on when she leaves them out and I find them...I am going to order myself a pair as soon as I finish this review...laughing.

I ordered these for my Special Man. He loves them. And when he said he couldn't get them on, I remembered the review I read before I ordered them. Yes, you may have to split the seam a bit on the top of each slipper. We did that, no big deal. They now are as easy-on as they are Fine!

Uggs Henry review -
I had to have the seam (over the arch) and square patch moved down an inch to better fit my foot Also, the sheepskin feels better pulled up around my foot. I recently had hip replacement followed by a triple bypass and have some swelling in my feet. These changes helped tremendously. I also wear a 15.5 shoe a larger size Ugg would have been nice.

I bought this shoe per my son's Christmas request. It was shipped quickly and he likes the fit and style. He has worn it when he goes out with his friends and says it is comfortable.
It was snug when he first tried it on but it molded well to his feet. We are happy with the purchase.

My foot wouldn't go in -
I ordered a larger size than I usually take and could not get my foot in the slipper. I also didn't like that the upper part of the shoe was not leather and could not be folded up.

Uggs went cheap -
I purchased these Uggs as a replacement for some well worn similar looking Uggs from 2 years ago. They have redesigned the slipper making the opening smaller (couldn't even get foot in!) and placing the Ugg logo up higher which further restricted the opening. The sheepskin around the top is cloth backed versus the suede back like the original pair. When I compare the two slippers side-by-side they new design definitely seems cheaper and not worth $90. I wonder if the people who didn't have these problems have smaller feet - we ordered the same size as the first set - size 13. I would give it zero stars if it was an option!

A wonderful slipper! I get them every year for my 86-year-old father who wears them all day when he doesn't go out. Excellent for the older person that needs the shoe style versus the slip on.

Did the designers even try these slippers on? If they had, they would have learned that the opening for putting your foot in is engineered wrong...too small! We all have previous styles of UGG - purchased from Zappos 2 years ago. These were purchases to replace a worn out pair...worn out from so much use! Ugg's are very comfortable and warm. I returned these slippers because this design is different and I can't wear them.

I bought these for my husband and he is very happy with them. I bought one size larger than his usual size. They are a little difficult to get on but nothing like what the other reviewers have experienced. I don't think these will work for those with high arches or wide feet.

Ordered these slippers for my son who wears a 15. He loves them - says they are very easy to put on. He has a narrow foot; maybe that makes a difference after reading the negative reviews. Very happy with Zappos - the best online shoe store for sure.

I had a pair of Firesiders sheeps wool lined slippers for decades and once they wore out was looking for a replacement. I have the Ugg womens boots which have been excellent walking boots. Also sheepskin shearling wool lined. They are lightweight, good in appearance, and again warm to wear without socks. The Henry slippers, cover the lower part of the ankle compared to many other slippers, which do not. In fact the Henry slippers as you see them in the photo reach to the prominence at the bottom of the leg bone above the foot. The Large sheeps wool ruf seen in the picture can be pulled up to give coverage that reaches seven inches above the floor. Two inches above the leg bone prominence above the foot. The sole is very durable, the same sole used with Ugg women’s boots. They are thick enough that you can go outside with these walking through very shallow water without getting moisture in the slipper.
I customized my pair. I found that the size 9 was very difficult to get on, but once my foot was in they were comfortable.
Solution, off to the shoe repairman Dennis Rockwell in Marysville, Kansas. Dennis made an incision of about 1 inch at the front of the opening, This make entry into these slippers quite easy.
Still another custom feature, (also done to the Firesiders) was the installation of a leather pull on strap attached to the back of each slipper running up through the ruff.
The Straps enxtend 2 inches above the top of the sheeps wool ruff. Quick and easy to put them on.
Are they cheap? No. Are they well worth the money? Emphatically yes!!! The Zappos service is excellent.
Do I recommend the Ugg Henry Slippers?
Without Qualification!!!!!

A shoe you can't wear -
Like so many others are reporting I bought these in my normal shoe size, 10. There was no chance these things would go on my feet. Couldn't get the foot inside the bootie without tearing the opening apart. Not with a shoe horn. Not with or without socks. Nothing. The sole looked like a 10 matching up pretty closely to other shoes I have, but good luck getting these on to your foot.
I returned them.

Missing some Sheepskin -
I was very disappointed in this shoe. The sheepskin does not extend under the large flap at the top. It is a fabric, that makes this shoe appear very cheap and prohibits you from turning it up to keep your ankles warm.
