A fantastically comfortable boot. It really feels like wrapping your feet in cotton. Only gripe I have is the tread seems to wear quickly. Keep in mind; however, I am a big guy whose job requires 3-5 miles of walking on pavement a night.

Comfort for wide feet -
I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes because I usually wear an 8.5 3E. I ordered these in 5E because of other customers' comments. They were comfortable right out of the box and have become some of my favorite shoes. They are also relatively easy to get on and off. In a place like Anchorage in winter they are great everyday casual shoes.

I was skeptical, but having unusually sized feet (Size 8, 4W), I have limited choices. These are comfortable right out of the box. Definitely size up one width.

Good Hiking Shoe -
I am an 8EEE. I ordered the Alpine Walker in that size. It was too small and narrow. Zappos sent me a 9EEE and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable and kept my feet dry during a freezing rain. They are great in shallow puddles, mud, and snow, but don't grip too well on ice.

Incredible shoes -

I bought this pair for hiking I have worn then a few times to break them in. They are comfortable out of the box. I have very wide feet. Order wider than you normally wear and you’ll be happy. I would buy again.

Not water resistant -
Fit well right out of the box; no break in problems. Very comfortable for walking. They are not water resistant. My socks get wet when I walk in wet grass.

Shoe was smaller than marked, right shoe was smaller even than the left. No stretch in the material to compensate and the inside is more or less flat so foot support is marginal. Found them quite fatiguing but reasonably well made. Going back to Ecco's and giving these away.

Great deal for a great boot -
Break in period was super fast. I had a short hike >5 miles and they felt great about half way through. More like sneakers but still with sufficient ankle support. I was pleased with the purchase

I wear a 15 narrow and this shoe fit perfectly since the shoes runs slightly narrow. Very comfortable.

Some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn…
I have a wide foot. When looking to replace a similar pair of shoes, I really liked the look and description of these. I read other reviews to find that these shoes had a consistent theme - narrower than marked. I used that information to my advantage. I usually wear a 3E. Based on the other reviews, I ordered these in 5E. It's amazing!!! These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I would highly recommend them!!!

- Propet makes a very honest effort to provide the highest standards of materials and workmanship for very competitive price.
- Styling is very attractive
Cons:
It is second style of Propet shoes I am returning because:
- wide shoes are way too narrow for 3E and 5E respectively. I compared the pair of 5E Alpine Walkers with my comfortable Hush Puppies of the same nominal width. HP's have wider sole and greater circumference.
- removable insole is a good idea, but probably it was added after all calculations, and only increases the width problem.
- (minor concern: ) 1000 Miles OR 6 months sole warranty... Huh?

Great boot for the money!
I am so glad that I found this website. It is very hard for me to find a comfortable boot! I work in a warehouse with concrete floors and this is the best boot that I have found that after a days work my feet don't hurt or burn. Thanks, Zappos!

The fit of 3x was great. Such a hard size to fit comfortably. Purchased for someone, who has a hard time to find 3x's.

I could not find any hiking boots in the EEE width I needed. I am glad I found and ordered these off of Zappos. I have only put a couple dozen miles on them so far, but they are extremely comfortable with plenty of support. Breathablity is also very high. Went on an eight mile hike with a bum toe and it felt fine!!!

Nice to have a hiking boot in 3E. Seems to be a little narrower to me. The light weight is nice when walking all day.
