Great Work Boot -
My husband has a difficult time finding comfortable boots for work. He has worn them for a few years. When we started to order a new pair from him from NB we realized that they no longer carried them. Thank goodness we found them through Zappos.com. Please keep them in your shoe line. They arrived very quickly and we also appreciate that very much. Thanks again so much. Mary Z

Too narrow for a wide shoe -
I tried this shoe but returned it. I tried the 8 EEEE and 8.5 EEEE widths. When I opened the boxes, the 8 EEEE shoe was so narrow I didn't even try it on. The toe box is just too narrow for a wide shoe. I could barely get my foot into the 8.5 shoe and it was too long. New Balance 8 EEEE fit me fine, so I'll have to stick with them.

Gave up after many months/miles with these shoes -Kept getting blisters on the SIDE of my left foot. Apparently the soft leather would fold funny there and provide a "pinch point" for the back side of my foot. Tried everything to fix it, including shoe goo, new insoles, etc, but to no avail.

Solid everyday winter shoe.
Good quality shoe. Sole is harder than I expected and can be a little slippery when wet on a smooth surface. Also the leather upper is a little more firm than I expected. It will probably get softer over time as I work mink oil into it. In general, I'm happy with the shoe and VERY happy with Zappos service. Will buy from Zappos again.

Dutch shoes -
These boots are VERY uncomfortable. Felt like I was wearing dutch shoes. The toe curls up in front so you can practically rock in these. Were very tight, even though they were 2E width. Also tight and uncomfortable. I returned mine...

 |  | I want you to know how pleased I am that my dad received his shoes so quickly! He got them today. I am amazed! He is a patient at the VA hospital in Denver. He is a WWll combat veteran who lost his leg after stepping on a land mine. Recently, he was taken to the VA hospital because no one at his present home could care for him. He was sick, malnourished, and to add insult to injury, could not use his prosthetic leg because it caused a sore on his amputated stump. To shorten a long story, he had no shoes with him with which to begin learning to use his new prosthesis. I ordered them Saturday as soon as I hung up talking with him and he received them today. Now he can begin the long journey to regain his stride and health. He will be returning to the east coast of Virginia to be with family.
