Huge!
This is an awesome bag... for someone at least 175 lbs and over 5'8". It seems way bigger than the description due to the extra wide shoulder strap. I kept it for several weeks and tried it on over jackets, without jackets etc. I just couldn't justify lugging it around, especially since I hadn't even loaded it down with my stuff yet. I'm 5'5" and I looked like a 3rd grader wearing her older brother's bag. Cool bag, tho.

I thought this was going to be the perfect bag...
I thought this was going to be the perfect bag, but I'm not sold yet...It is very large, as the other reviewers noted, but that's what I was looking for - something to carry my laptop and a lot of work materials. The problem is that when you don't have the laptop sleeve in it, it doesn't have a stiff enough back - it kinds of flops over blocking what I need to get out. On the upside, it has a light color interior, so it makes it easy to see what's in the bag, and the rubber on the bottom makes it durable, and the inside very deep. I think with a few modifications, this could be an incredible bag.

Almost perfect -
Great roomy bag for student with lots of books. Would have been perfect, but Keen made the laptop sleeve only big enough for a 15" not a 15.4" like the new Dell's and Apples. Too bad, because it would have been perfect for me otherwise. Great design in terms of space, durability, padding, everything, just not for widescreen laptops.

Great commuter bag -
I bought this bag for my girlfriend, a self-proclaimed "urban commando" who buses, bikes, or cabs to work every day, usually with multiple bags, purses, lunch bags, whatever. This bag is large enough to consolidate, yet stylish enough to go with everything she wears and rugged enough to take the pounding of a MN winter. She loves it.

Great Bag from Keen, but HUGE in size -
Overall, I love Keen products and own a ton of their shoes and sandals. This bag has some great features. Magnetic closures front and back are cool, laptop sleeve is great and overall construction is top notch. One thing I didn't realize is how HUGE this bag would be. At 14x18 it's enormous and dwarfs my old work bag. Probably great for real biking courier folk, but looks enormous walking into work with it. Great bag, just be prepared for the size.

 | | In early April, at age 59, I started a new career as Director of Communications for a Military School. It was sudden - not time to even shop. The hours are long and my feet hurt. Thank goodness for your 24 hour service. I picked out some Earth shoes and called at "o dark o'clock" before work. The lady on the other end of the phone said, "My you are really up early." It was somewhere between 5 and 6 am, I expect, although some mornings find me up before that. I explained about the new job and the aching feet and that if I was going to get anything done like placing an order, it would have to be early in the morning because by 5 or 6 pm, I no longer had enough brain cells to call it in. She asked about the job and I suppose my excitement went through the line. To make a long story short, I am still at work. The hours will always be long, but I love it. I still am on my feet a lot, running to take photos of the corps, getting the magazine ready, all the 10,000 things which make up my job. God has been good to me because I don't have time to think about my son, who is 18 and graduating this week; no time for mom to get emotional, always a good thing! The joy must shine through my voice because I received, from your staff, the nicest card of congratulations at my new position! They used colored dots for balloons and everyone signed it. What a great card! What a great thing for them to do. I have been telling the people at school that when our cadets get promoted or they win Gold Eagles for their grades (nothing less than A-), they should be given much applause! To have someone turn it around and congratulate me is a great thing. I have been a stay at home mom a long time and this... this is validation in ways I can't even describe. I am joyful! They took note of it and said it mattered that someone was so lucky. I appreciate that more than you know. When I ordered shoes today, I asked the young man how could I thank you. You should applaud them; they do your business and you proud. Thank them for me, please. The world is such a mean place - it really needs more of this. Thank you for providing a work place for people to do more than take orders, fill orders, and bill people. This is a tribute to you. I haven't had much time off because on weekends we are having Open House, but this 3 day weekend provides me time to sleep and I made time to tell you of my experience. They did a great thing.
