Very comfortable and stylish -
I should have bought some of these a long time ago. These are not only really old-fashioned in a timeless kind of way (leather soles, amazing quality) but very comfortable. Not so much in a walk-20-miles way, but in a drive your car/ride your bike/stay out late way. At first, you're amazed at how they are more comfortable than many of your other shoes. Then, you forget you have them on.
That said, these are primitive shoes. They don't have much padding on the ball of your foot, and require walking a bit differently than you may be used to. Most guys aren't used to the somewhat tall heel and that took some getting used to. These are non-idea on uneven surfaces due to low-traction soles and pointy toes-- walking down a slippery hill or on cobblestones takes some work.

Works well for women -
I tried a Lucchese women's style and it was much too narrow for me. This boot fit perfectly. I wear 8.5-9 in women's and the 7.5 men's is just the right fit. Excellent craftsmanship and a great-looking western boot.

Outstanding boots -
I couldn't be happier with these boots. From the picture I was a bit worried that the color might be too faded for me to pull off, but was pleasantly surprised to find that they are dark enough to work with black, brown, and grey. The fit is perfect; the leather is supple and beautifully weathered. Great job.

Great Boot -
I was really looking for some brown boots but I saw these and decided I would give them a try and I am glad that I did. They fit great and are very comfortable. The mad dog goat has a nice worn look. I tried other boots from different companies and they did not feel as good as these. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Yet another Zappos homerun!!
I have been looking for a pair of Lucchese boots in size 13 that I liked and they have been hard to locate at other retailers and e-tailers. These boots were not my first choice but I could not find exactly what I wanted anywhere (elephant skin) so I went with plan B which was ordering these. They are OUTSTANDING boots. I placed my order online at ~ 3:30 PM EDT and FedEx dropped them at my door less than 24 later. Anyone looking for a nice fitting, good looking pair of boots, these Mad Dog Goats will surpass your expectations.
