Unfortunately I lie in that 12.5 foot size, which almost no manufacturer makes, so I am often forced to choose 12 or 13 otherwise. This was one of those shoes that are structured such that they will cut into your Achilles tendon if too small. Unfortunately I wore them for two days to try to break them in and could no longer return them, but after a night on a shoe stretcher, they are much more manageable. Therefore, my rating is for their comfort right out of the box for a size 12 with a size 12.5 foot.

I'm a huge fan of the classic Converse All Stars, but they have no support, and I'm old so the feet don't bounce as well as they used to. The Keen Ventura Suede shoes have excellent support, a nice "grippy" sole, and look mighty cool. I get lots of compliments on 'em too!

Great old school shoe with a new feel - Keens are simply one of the best shoes on the market today and this shoe is no exception. I liked this shoe because it reminded me of the old school Chuck Taylors, but these are actually comfortable. UPS dropped off my order to another house and I never received the shoes. I called Zappos and they sent out another pair of shoes, no charge with free overnight shipping and told me they would deal with UPS on their end. That is amazing and that is why I buy every pair of shoes from Zappos.

Keen Ventura shoes look good with Khakis or Jeans -
The Keen shoe I chose to purchase was the brown (pinecone) Ventura Suede. I like these shoes because they fit well and are very comfortable. I like the way they look. They work with Khaki pants or jeans. Fewer people like them in my area, but I'm the only person I know who has this pair. They don't provide any ankle support because they are low-top, but I like them.

Another win for Keen -
Bought these for my very picky husband and he loves them. His former favorite was the Simple suede sneaker (he's been through about 4 pair of those), but he likes these better as they have better support. He always wears 9.5 and these fit perfectly at 9.5.

Great shoe!
Very pleased with the fit and look of this shoe. Other reviews mention the heel rubbing a bit, which I found to be the case with mine as well...but thicker socks remedied the issue. Probably wouldn't wear without.

The foot box is comfy like all Keens but the heel really cut into my Achilles tendon.

Better than Chucks, but sub par Keens -
Looks great and far less common than Converse Chuck Taylors. Not as comfortable as usual vs the 4 other pairs of Keen sandals and/or urban shoes; e.g. little to no arch support, less cushioning. I'd buy them again for sure, but just can't wear them day after day for long periods like any of my other Keens...

Another Awesome Keen -
This is my fifth pair of Keens. I love each and every one of them, and these are no exception. As a Podiatrist I recommend them to my patient's all the time for their comfort and roomy toe box. Plus they look great with just about anything.
